“The Whole Thing Was Ridiculous” – Trump Reacts to Biden’s Press Conference

78-year-old Joe Biden held his first press conference today and it was a total dumpster fire.

Biden had a binder of notes waiting for him today at his first press conference.

Like a parrot, he read off all of his foreign policy answers including his entire answer to the North Korea question.

And Biden was calling on reporters from his prepared list.

Biden’s handpicked, friendly and sycophantic reporters couldn’t even save him from jumbling his words and losing his train of thought.

President Trump phoned in to Laura Ingraham’s show on Fox News Thursday night and reacted to Biden’s pathetic presser.

“The whole thing was ridiculous. You know it and so do I,” Trump said.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison lashes Clive Palmer's vaccine claims as 'complete rubbish'

Prime Minister Scott Morrison has taken aim at mining magnate Clive Palmer for distributing vaccine misinformation, describing it as "complete rubbish".

The former politician is sending out yellow and black flyers across the country, questioning the speed of the development of COVID-19 vaccines.

Mr Palmer also claims appropriate safety checks and balances have not been carried out.

Mr Morrison said the Federal Government is doing everything it can to clamp down on false vaccine campaigns.

"This is misinformation, pure and simple," he told reporters in Melbourne.

"Don't listen to it.

"It's rubbish, complete rubbish."

The opposition has asked the Australian Electoral Commission to investigate the pamphlets, arguing they should be treated as part of a political campaign by Mr Palmer.

The Coming Demographic Collapse of China

China this century is on track to experience history’s most dramatic demographic collapse in the absence of war or disease.

China this century is on track to experience history’s most dramatic demographic collapse in the absence of war or disease.

Today, the country has a population more than four times larger than America’s. By 2100, the U.S. will probably have more people than China.

China’s National Bureau of Statistics typically releases population data for the preceding year in early March. This year, NBS delayed its announcement because the central government is scheduled next month to announce preliminary results of the 7th national census, conducted in November and December.

The image of Chinese economic and geopolitical dominance will be severely dented when Beijing releases census data. Xi Jinping may believe “the East is rising and the West is declining”—the money line from one of his speeches late last year—but that view will be exceedingly hard to maintain.

The Chinese take great pride in being part of the world’s most populous state. Beijing reported China’s population in 2019 hit 1.4 billion in 2019, up from 1.39 billion the previous year.

Chinese authorities will undoubtedly report an increase for last year as well. They are on record as believing the country’s population will continue to grow for more than a half decade.

Some are skeptical of China’s total population figures, however. Yi Fuxian of the University of Wisconsin-Madison told The National Interest that China in 2020 likely had a population of 1.26 billion. The noted demographer does not believe the number could have exceeded 1.28 billion.

Why did Yi provide a range? China’s demographic information is notoriously imprecise.

For one thing, officials as a practical matter cannot report births suggesting couples exceeded the current two-child limit.

Moreover, officials also have incentives to report that couples have used up their two-birth quota when they have in fact not done so. National Health and Family Planning Commission officials, Yi told Voice of America, report exaggerated births because real birth numbers, if known, would bolster the case for that body to be scrapped. Municipal governments, local education departments, and hospitals have been overstating China’s numbers for a different reason: to obtain subsidies or maintain budget allocations.

Yi’s estimates look reliable. True, Beijing scrapped the notorious one-child policy, perhaps history’s most ambitious social-engineering project, as of the beginning of 2016 and there was a spurt of births that year, but since then births have fallen every year.

Beijing has not announced births for last year, but early numbers indicate they plummeted from 2019. Births in the household registration—hukou—system plunged 14.9% to 10,035,000 last year. Because births so registered constitute about 80% of total births, He Yafu, a demographer, estimates total births for the country last year came in at 12,540,000.

Yi told me that the number of births for the country was in reality about 8 million and could not have exceeded 10 million.

Again, Yi looks correct. Provinces and other governmental units have reported data ahead of the census, and births were down more than 30% in some locations.

The big issue is China’s trajectory. Official media is cagey about a critical figure, the country’s total fertility rate, generally the number of children per female reaching child-bearing age. The official China Daily reports that Lu Jiehua of Peking University believes the country’s TFR, as the rate is known, “has fallen below 1.7.”

Georgia Governor Signs Into Law Sweeping Election Reform Bill, Including Voter ID for Absentee Ballots

Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp on Thursday signed into law a number of election reforms that include photo ID requirements for absentee voting, the need for drop box security, and mandatory early voting dates, among other changes to how the state’s elections are run.

“I was proud to sign S.B. 202 to ensure elections in Georgia are secure, fair, and accessible,” Republican Kemp announced on Twitter. “I appreciate the hard work of members of the General Assembly to make it easy to vote and hard to cheat.”

Prior to its signing, the 95-page bill (pdf) passed the state House by a 100-75 vote and the state Senate by a 34-20 vote, with Republicans in support. Republicans currently hold a majority in both chambers. No Democrats voted for the reform measures.

Georgia’s contested presidential election results were certified in favor of now-President Joe Biden. The once-reliable red state later saw Democratic victories for two remaining U.S. Senate runoffs in early January which secured a 50-50 Senate with Vice President Kamala Harris tipping the house to a Democrat-majority.

“With Senate Bill 202, Georgia will take another step toward ensuring that our elections are secure, accessible, and fair,” Kemp said in livestreamed remarks shortly after signing the bill.

Tennessee man with trove of child porn applied to become middle school teacher, feds say

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – (DOJ) – A Clarksville, Tennessee man was arrested last week and charged with possession of child pornography, announced Acting U.S. Attorney Mary Jane Stewart. Austin Kidd, 27, was arrested on March 17th at his home by agents of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI). Kidd appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge Barbara D. Holmes this morning for a detention hearing and was ordered held in custody pending trial.

According to the criminal complaint, in March 2020, HSI Nashville received an investigative referral pertaining to Kidd and his internet activity in April 2019. Agents were able to identify a Facebook account, “ShadowPhoenix24,” as belonging to Kidd and through further investigation, agents identified Internet Protocol (IP) addresses associated with Kidd’s home address in Clarksville. Agents were also aware that in August 2019, a foreign law enforcement agency notified the FBI of an IP address in San Antonio, Texas that was used to access online child sexual abuse and exploitation material. This address was found to have been occupied by Kidd during the time the access occurred and before he relocated to Clarksville.

Through further investigation, HSI agents determined that the IP address associated with Kidd’s Clarksville residence had accessed The Onion Router (TOR) network, which is an anonymizing network that masks the IP address of users and is commonly used by persons when accessing child pornography. Based on the information obtained through the investigation, agents obtained a federal search warrant for Kidd’s residence and subsequently seized his cell phone and other media storage devices. To date, approximately 260 suspected images and videos depicting child sexual abuse have been identified on the devices.

The complaint further alleges that Kidd is in the final hiring process to become a substitute teacher for middle school children.

If convicted, Kidd faces up to 20 years in prison.

Parler says it referred FBI to violent content on more than 50 occasions BEFORE riot, incl, on ‘specific threats’ to the Capitol

The conservative-friendly social media network Parler said it directed the FBI to dozens of posts encouraging violence in the weeks before the January 6 Capitol riot, also arguing other sites permitted “far more” violent content.

The company forwarded posts to the FBI on more than 50 occasions prior to the unrest in Washington, DC, it said in a letter addressed to the House Oversight and Reform Committee on Thursday, rejecting allegations that the site acted as a “far-right instigator” ahead of the riot.

“The Company has acted to remove incitement and threats of violence from its platform and did so numerous times in the days before the unlawful rioting at the Capitol,” Parler said, adding that it took “the extraordinary initiative to develop formal lines of communication with the Federal Bureau of Investigation.”

In fact, in the days and weeks leading up to January 6th, Parler referred violent content from its platform to the FBI for investigation over 50 times, and Parler even alerted law enforcement to specific threats of violence being planned at the Capitol.

Parler cited a November 2020 email exchange between the platform and an FBI agent, who said a colleague “spoke highly” of the company and its “working relationship with the FBI.” The company said that after establishing a line of communication with the bureau, it “regularly” forwarded screenshots of “unlawful posts that called for violence,” or that merely “merited additional investigation to protect public safety,” including specific threats against US officials such as former Attorney General Bill Barr.

“Even after the violent attacks stopped, Parler continued to dutifully and proactively report posts to the FBI where users threatened additional violence,” the company continued.

Parler also claimed it had been targeted by “absurd conspiracy theories” put forward by “Big Tech and its media allies,” arguing they were part of a “widespread disinformation campaign designed to scapegoat Parler for the riots at the US Capitol.”

Soon after the unrest, Parler was swiftly booted from both Apple and Google’s app platforms, while Amazon kicked the site off of its cloud servers and effectively took it offline, a decision the company condemned as “unlawful and anticompetitive.” All three tech firms accused Parler of allowing violent content to proliferate on its platform, but the company insisted that it did more to remove such posts than other, larger social media sites.

“It is now well-documented and understood by honest observers that incitement occurred far more frequently on Big Tech platforms like Facebook and Twitter than Parler,” it argued, pointing to a Forbes analysis last month which found that “Facebook was far and away the most utilized social media platform by rioters on January 6th.”

Covid crickets: Reporters ask zero pandemic questions after Biden kicks off presser by touting doubling of vaccination target

President Joe Biden doubled the Covid-19 vaccination goal for his first 100 days in office, saying he aims to have 200 million Americans inoculated by April 30. Reporters chose not to ask him anything pandemic-related thereafter.

"I know it's ambitious, twice our original goal," Biden told reporters on Thursday, at his first formal press conference since taking office in January.

No other country in the world has even come close to what we're doing.

It took Biden's administration until March 19 to reach his goal of 100 million Covid-19 vaccination jabs, 42 days ahead of the target that he set as president-elect last December. More than 133 million doses had been delivered as of Thursday, according to CDC data, including about 20 million that were done before former president Donald Trump left office.

Trump helped fast-track development and emergency authorization for Covid-19 vaccines to help end the pandemic, allowing the US to start its inoculations in December. With three different vaccines now approved and in distribution, more than 2 million shots are being given daily, putting the nation on pace to have inoculations available for every adult by the end of May.

Biden said he also expects to meet his goal of having most US schools from kindergarten through eighth grade reopened full-time by his 100-day target. White House press secretary Jen Psaki last month told reporters that the goal was to have half of schools open for some classes at least one day a week, a status that was reached even before Biden took office. The president clarified the goal on Thursday, saying he meant full-time, in-person learning.

While journalists apparently found no questions to ask about the pandemic response on Thursday, some of Biden's Democratic pals offered him friendly suggestions ahead of the presser.

Ex-presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, who served as secretary of state in the Obama-Biden administration, said on Monday that rather than focusing entirely on getting Americans inoculated, Biden should give more Covid-19 vaccines to poor countries. She complained that Russia and China had jumped ahead of the Biden administration in terms of "vaccine diplomacy."

"This is the kind of leadership that the United States has historically been known for, which frankly, we should be lifting up and doing more of," Clinton said. "And what I'm intrigued by, and a little saddened by, is the way both China and Russia are pushing their vaccines."

Biden's administration last week agreed to lend millions of its doses of the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine to Mexico and Canada. The jab isn't yet approved for use in the US, but the country had 7 million doses stockpiled. Washington will lend 2.5 million doses to Mexico and 1.5 million to Canada.

Former Pro Wrestler Dan Rodimer Launches Congressional Bid, Rides Bull Named ‘Nancy Pelosi’ in High-Energy Ad

Republican Dan Rodimer promised to “Make America Texas Again” in Congress in a video first obtained by Breitbart News.

Rodimer — a businessman, professional wrestler, and football player — hopes to win the special election to represent Texas’s sixth congressional district.

During the 2020 congressional election, Rodimer ran in Nevada’s third congressional district against Rep. Susie Lee (D-NV), a swing district Democrat. He narrowly lost against Lee by three percent. The GOP named him one of their “Young Guns” during the 2020 congressional cycle, commending his campaigning and fundraising ability.

Rodimer faces several politicians running in the May 1 special election, including the late Rep. Ron Wright’s (R-TX) Wright’s widow, Susan Wright.

Rodimer said he moved his family to Texas “because I want to raise my family in a constitutional-friendly state.”

“In Texsas, we’re free,” he said in his campaign video.

“They hate Texas, and they hate our way of life,” Rodimer added.

Rodimer said that the “communists” in Washington, DC, want to:

Shutdown our churches

Close our businesses

Indoctrinate our children, including pushing “Communism in our classrooms.”

“Make our daughters unsafe in sports and school”

Destroy America’s borders and destroy American history

Rodimer said he hopes to pass America First legislation that would end “dangerous chain migration and the visa lottery.”

“Rodimer believes immigrants are an integral part of the fabric of America, but out of control immigration policies hurt legal immigrants and everyday Americans,” Rodimer’s campaign website noted.

“The safety and security of our country and its citizens is of primary importance to me and I will do everything I can to make sure that Americans, especially Texans, remain safe and secure from illegal immigrants,” Rodimer said on the campaign website.

Rodimer promised in his campaign video to kick some “left-wing ass” if elected to Congress.

“Voters in the Texas sixth congressional district, vote Big Dan in the special election. I’ll fight for you and the Texas way of life,” he said. “Let’s make America Texas again.”

Google says ACCC's work on ad tech regulation could be at odds with Privacy Act

Search giant asks the watchdog to consult with the Attorney-General's Department, the OAIC, and privacy advocacy groups for the remainder of its ad tech inquiry.

Google has offered the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) a number of suggestions on how best to move forward with regulation in the digital advertising space, saying a "collaborative" approach would provide the most benefit to consumers and Australian businesses.

"Google succeeds when our partners do – so we have a strong incentive to ensure a healthy digital advertising ecosystem," a blog post penned by Google Australia's marketing director Barney Pierce said.

The competition watchdog is currently probing the advertising technology (ad tech) sector, focusing its efforts, again, on the search giant, with the ACCC concerned with "Google's industry-leading position".

In response to the ACCC kicking off the inquiry, Google argued ad tech is a competitive market with low barriers to entry, and that it's merely one of the many companies offering such a service.

The search engine giant said it creates AU$32 billion in benefits annually for businesses and content creators in Australia through its advertising platforms.

In its 68-page submission [PDF] to the inquiry, Google said the ACCC's Interim Report presented an incomplete view of the digital advertising industry.

"Focussing only on web-based open display advertising results in a misleading view of industry dynamics," it said.

"Any regulatory intervention must not reduce the innovation and competition that has driven so many benefits".

Google said ad tech has been marked by constant innovation, driven by the evolving needs of advertisers, publishers, and consumers. This constant innovation, Google claimed, substantially changes the ad tech landscape every two to three years.

"The dynamism of the ad tech ecosystem combined with these differing interests means that it will be extremely difficult to predict all of the consequences of any intervention," it said. "In the face of these issues, regulation is likely to create unanticipated disadvantages and disruptions."

Google has asked the ACCC to also consider the implications for consumer privacy when designing proposals.

Lin Wood

When you file a lawsuit in the in federal court in Atlanta (Northern District of GA), the filing would promptly give you a civil action number and a random judge assignment.

Now there is a 48-hour delay before you receive the case number and assigned judge.

Why???

In my case against the State Bar of Georgia Disciplinary Committee, I learned today that the case has been assigned to Judge Timothy Batten.

Of the 3 prior 2020 election related cases filed in Georgia, Judge Batten was the judge in 2 of them which he dismissed for “lack of standing.” Judge Steven Grimberg tossed the other case out also for “lack of standing.” No decision was ever rendered on the merits of those cases.

Wow. What are the odds that a computer would randomly select Judge Batten in 3 out of the 4 election related cases?

There are 15 judges on the Northern District Court bench.

Connect the dots.
