How Far Has Portland Fallen? Video Shows Blight And Misery Of Downtown Full Of Homeless Camps And Abandoned Buildings After a Year of Riots

Despite city leaders and their enablers in the leftist dominated media continually make excuses for Portland’s rapid descent into third-world status, going so far as to post puff pieces claiming it’s not as bad as what some say and launching a “Be Here For Portland” PR blitz, the reality of Portland’s demise has now been preserved in a video showing just how downtown really looks in 2021. Homeless tents line the sidewalks, streets are full of trash and debris, blocks upon blocks of boarded up and abandoned buildings, and endless rows of graffiti greet visitors.

The video starts off juxtaposing a billboard for Rolex watches at Ben Bridge jewelers, then the camera pans down to show what appears to be an abandoned building, taken over by homeless, and tagged with various different bits of graffiti. Rows upon rows of tents of “houseless urban campers” adorn the sidewalks. Some are left with no tent and are just napping in sleeping bags in doorways and beneath overhangs. Like something akin to Orwellian newspeak propaganda, one such person is sleeping out front of a happy looking little state run thing called Care Oregon with the words “That’s The Care Oregon Effect” right above him. Another shot ironically shows the evidently closed Employment Access Center with many homeless camped out around it.

Note that many of these tents look brand new, likely handed out by the do-gooders of the “non profit” organizations that purport to want to help the homeless.

Then come the city-of-plywood shots, as building after building are boarded up. Some trying to operate in the face of routine riots, others vandalized by robbers, still some broken into by people who just want to keep warm at night. Several of these buildings and businesses have simply been abandoned. Sure some government officials try to blame Covid for the transformation into Boardlandia, but last I checked the virus isn’t powerful enough to shatter windows.

Can’t get a shot of downtown Portland without seeing an obligatory Bernie Mobile. This is the type of person who voted for this, and seems to be okay with this result, and thinks nothing is wrong with current state of things.

Not even Portland’s world famous food cart rows are immune, as they have been tagged by a plethora of graffiti “artists.”

And this is shortly after a big citywide clean up effort. In fact, Mayor Ted Wheeler has so mismanaged the clean up efforts that his happy little bureaus are out of money and he’s calling on the general public to volunteer and clean things up.

This has been a rapid decline for the City Of Roses. What was once a bustling metropolis that attracted newcomers from across the country is left looking more and more like Mogadishu rather than a city in America. This is your city on crazed leftist policies. Don’t let this happen to your city.

Beijing Pushes for 10 Million COVID-19 Shots Per Day to Hit 40% Vaccination by June

Because the Chinese government’s response to the COVID-19 outbreak has been so effective, it has paradoxically led to lower public concern about getting vaccinated against the virus. Now, officials are rushing to stir awareness in order to protect the population and reopen travel.

With vaccination numbers slackening, the Chinese government has begun a new push to encourage people to get vaccinated against SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. They have set a goal of 40% of the country’s 1.4 billion people being vaccinated by June.

According to the South China Morning Post, roughly 5.5 million people were vaccinated against COVID-19 on Thursday, a significant increase from the 1.6 million average on Saturday. However, in order to reach the goal of 560 million people vaccinated by June 1, that number will have to double to 10 million per day.

Vice-Premier Sun Chunlan set the goal during a Monday teleconference on vaccination held by the State Council inter-agency task force for COVID-19 response, Xinhua News reported.

China has five COVID-19 vaccines in various stages of use: one from CanSino Biologics Inc; one from Wuhan Institute of Biological Products, an affiliate of the China National Pharmaceutical Group (Sinopharm); another from Sinopharm called BBIBP-CorV; and one from Sinovac. A fifth vaccine, developed jointly by Anhui Zhifei Longcom Biopharmaceutical Co. Ltd. and the Chinese Academy of Sciences, was approved for emergency production last week. It requires three doses but can be stored at typical refrigerator temperatures, unlike some of the earlier vaccines that require deep freezing to remain usable.

So far, an estimated 91.3 million doses have been administered, according to the National Health Commission (NHC). However, China has exported almost as many vaccine doses as it has kept for its own use, in stark contrast to the United States and United Kingdom, which have kept essentially all of the vaccines their respective countries have produced so far, although the Biden administration has pledged $4 billion toward the World Health Organization’s COVAX program.

Nevada lawmaker comes out as a cisgender pansexual during floor speech

'Am I queer enough? Am I gay enough?'

A Nevada state lawmaker came out as a pansexual in a floor speech of the state's Assembly on Thursday afternoon.

Sarah Peters spoke about the progress of the LGBTQ+ agenda in the state of Nevada before finishing her speech with a statement of her own personal sexual preferences.

"I rise in support of National LGBT Health Awareness Week. In the past decade, Nevada has made unprecedented progress in being a more equitable home for our lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer community," said Peters in the speech.

She went on to tout a report calling Nevada the best state in the union for people who are LGBTQ+.

"Today, as a pansexual cisgendered woman I stand out for equity and remind us to be inclusive in our LGBTQ+ community while we work to make Nevada a more equitable place for all," she concluded.

Numerous members of the Assembly applauded for Peters' statement.

The speech was tweeted out by the official account of the Nevada Assembly Democrats which praised Peters for her courage.

"We are incredibly proud of her courage and advocacy for #LGBTQ+ community!" they tweeted.

She followed up with a tweet voicing her fears about coming out as a pansexual.

"Hi. Being celebrated for my queerness is weird. Being bisexual and pansexual comes with so much guilt and questioning," she tweeted.

Biden Goes Berserk on Georgia Election Law

President Joe Biden railed against Georgia’s new voter integrity law on Friday, slamming the law as “un-American,” “a blatant attack on the Constitution and good conscience,” and “Jim Crow in the 21st Century.” Biden repeated false claims about Georgia’s elections system and mischaracterized key parts of the bill.

Biden celebrated the record number of voters in the 2020 election and claimed that “recount after recount and court case after court case upheld the integrity and outcome of a clearly free, fair, and secure democratic process.” He did not mention the last-minute election rules changes due to COVID-19 or the Time expose about a “conspiracy” to “save” the election for Biden. While efforts to contest election results failed in court, that is not the same thing as proving a “secure” process.

Glossing over well-founded concerns, Biden condemned Georgia Republicans for rushing through “an un-American law to deny people the right to vote.”

“This law, like so many others being pursued by Republicans in statehouses across the country is a blatant attack on the Constitution and good conscience,” the president declared. “Among the outrageous parts of this new state law, it ends voting hours early so working people can’t cast their vote after their shift is over. It adds rigid restrictions on casting absentee ballots that will effectively deny the right to vote to countless voters. And it makes it a crime to provide water to voters while they wait in line – lines Republican officials themselves have created by reducing the number of polling sites across the state, disproportionately in Black neighborhoods.”

“This is Jim Crow in the 21st Century. It must end,” Biden continued, ratcheting up the hyperbole to 11. “We have a moral and Constitutional obligation to act. I once again urge Congress to pass the For the People Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act to make it easier for all eligible Americans access the ballot box and prevent attacks on the sacred right to vote.”

In other words, because the Trump campaign failed to prove that Biden did not win the 2020 election, Biden urged America to pass H.R. 1, a law that guts election integrity and free political speech.

Biden’s accusation about Republican officials creating long lines for black voters is blatantly false.

Georgia’s “election system is set up to be administered at the local level, so there are 159 election systems that report to the (secretary of state). As such, the counties can’t pass the buck completely to [Secretary of State Brad] Raffensperger,” Emory political scientist Andra Gillespie told 11Alive last year. “And given Fulton County’s history of election day issues, they will be perceived as having to bear responsibility for a lot of the problems.”

The Georgia law requires photo ID for voters requesting absentee ballots, a key reform after the system only required signature matching in 2020, a policy that raised serious concerns about absentee voting.

The Georgia bill does ban handing out water to voters in line — because it may be an inducement to vote. The law stipulates that no person shall “give, offer to give, or participate in the giving of any money or gifts, including, but not limited to, food and drink” to anyone within a polling place, within 150 feet of a building where voting takes place, or “within 25 feet of any voter standing in line to vote at any polling place.” However, self-service water stations are acceptable.

Biden can disagree with some of the provisions of the law, but nothing in the law justifies the racialist rhetoric. Georgia’s election integrity law is absolutely not “Jim Crow in the 21st Century,” and it is far from un-American to defend election integrity.

However, such rhetoric is not exactly surprising, coming from a president who has endorsed Marxist critical race theory. That ideology teaches that a hidden racism permeates American society, regardless of laws preventing discrimination.
