I was talking to fatheranon about the Evergreen Suez issue. Fatheranon said that the ship should be easy to pull back out of the bank. He advised that there are plenty of tugs in the canal that should be able to do it.

Fatheranon used to be at sea, said that the Suez is quite small and shallow, so oil tankers go round the Cape as their draft is too large. Container ships are shallow draft so easy to deal with. Fatheranon advises reports of 'weeks' to remove ship are taking the mickey, could be done in a day or so.
