Democrats introduced the “Security Clearance Improvement Act of 2021” to target MAGA patriots to destroy and criminalize Trump-supporting nationalists.

This is a very disturbing development by the US government to target the American people.

Penalties for Lying on ATF Background Check Form – As Hunter Biden Allegedly Did – Include Fines, Jail Time

Amid reports Hunter Biden may have given false information on an ATF background check form, it is notable that the punishment for false answers on that form includes fines up to $250,000 and/or ten years of imprisonment.

ATF Form 4473 is the background check each would-be gun buyer fills out upon trying to buy a gun at retail. A Federal Firearms License (FFL) holder then calls the FBI and relays the information from the form, receiving the all-clear to sell the gun or a rejection, which means the gun cannot be sold to the would-be buyer. A third option is that the FBI can alert the FFL holder that it will extend the background check another three business days to give FBI reviewers additional time to check criminal records.

On March 25, 2021, Breitbart News pointed out that Hunter Biden, who is President Joe Biden’s son, may have lied about his history of drug use when filling out ATF Form 4473 for a gun purchase in 2018.

The form asks questions like, “Are you the actual transferee/buyer of the firearm(s) listed on this form? … Warning: You are not the actual transferee/buyer if you are acquiring the firearm(s) on behalf of another person. If you are not the actual transferee/buyer, the licensee cannot transfer the firearm(s) to you.”

A “yes” or “no” answer is required.

ATF Form 4473 also asks, “Are you a fugitive from justice?”

Again, a “yes” or “no” answer is required.

The question pertinent to Hunter Biden’s alleged 2018 gun purchase is drug related. It asks:

Are you an unlawful user of, or addicted to, marijuana or any depressant, stimulant, narcotic drug, or any other controlled substance? Warning: The use or possession of marijuana remains unlawful under Federal law regardless of whether it has been legalized or decriminalized for medicinal or recreational purposes in the state where you reside.

The would-be gun purchaser is required to answer “yes” or “no”.

ATF Form 4473 makes clear, “The information you provide will be used to determine whether you are prohibited by Federal or State law from receiving a firearm. Certain violations of the Gun Control Act, 18 U.S.C. 921 et. seq., are punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment and/or up to a $250,000 fine.”

Hugo Boss Vows to Buy Slave Cotton in Chinese After Denying Purchases in English

German fashion house Hugo Boss assured its Chinese buyers on Thursday that it will continue to “purchase and support” Xinjiang cotton, a product of Chinese state-supported slave labor by Uyghurs and other Muslim ethnic minorities, extensive reporting has revealed.

“Xinjiang’s long-stapled cotton is one of the best in the world. We believe top-quality raw materials will definitely show its value [sic]. We will continue to purchase and support Xinjiang cotton,” a verified Hugo Boss account wrote in a statement posted to the Chinese social media platform Weibo on March 25.

A Hong Kong Free Press (HKFP) reporter reached out to Hugo Boss on Thursday for comment on its Weibo statement supporting Xinjiang cotton and received a contradictory response.

“[I]n an emailed response to HKFP, the brand linked to a statement on its website saying it has never used Xinjiang cotton: ‘So far, HUGO BOSS has not procured any goods originating in the Xinjiang region from direct suppliers,'” the luxury fashion house wrote on its official Western website.

“Hugo Boss did not respond to HKFP’s questions as to whether it is sending different messages to Chinese and Western customers,” the newspaper noted.

Hugo Boss told NBC News in September that its Chinese textile supplier, Lu Thai, had “reassured” the brand that Xinjiang cotton had never been used to create Hugo Boss-branded garments in China.

The European Union, United States, Britain, and Canada jointly imposed sanctions on Chinese government officials on March 22 over human rights abuses in Xinjiang, which include forcing Uyghurs and other minorities to harvest cotton through slave labor. China retaliated by imposing sanctions on British officials and institutions on March 26. News of the tit-for-tat sanctions drove many foreign retailers that use Xinjiang cotton to publicly denounce the slave labor conditions this week. The outcry launched yet another retaliation by China’s ruling Communist Party, which attacked foreign brands critical of Xinjiang cotton on Friday.

Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials practically erased the Swedish fast-fashion giant H&M from China’s strictly regulated internet on Friday, according to the Associated Press (AP). H&M announced last year it would stop purchasing cotton from Xinjiang, making it a larger target for CCP abuse.

China’s ruling Communist Party “often pressures foreign clothing, travel and other brands over actions by their governments or in an effort to compel them to adopt its positions on Taiwan, Tibet, and other sensitive issues,” the AP noted on Friday. “Most comply because China is one of the biggest, fastest-growing markets for global fashion, electronics, and other consumer brands.”

Hugo Boss seemed to allude to this pressure from the CCP in its Weibo statement on Thursday when it referred to the “One China” principle.

U.S. Convicts Two for Laundering $150 Million from Marijuana Sales

A jury in New York found the ringleaders of a scheme that saw more than US$150 million made from marijuana sales flow through the U.S. financial system guilty of conspiracy to commit bank fraud, the Department of Justice announced in a statement on Wednesday.

Hamid “Ray” Akhavan and Ruben Weigand face up to 30 years in prison for their operation.

“Under the radar of U.S. banks and credit card companies screening for suspicious and illegal activity, these men offered their services: creating fake companies and fake websites, and ginning up fake web traffic to those fake websites, all in the service of fraudulently moving money through the United States financial system,” said Manhattan U.S. Attorney Audrey Strauss.

“As a jury has now found, Ray Akhavan and Ruben Weigand were in the business of selling lies,” Strauss added.

With other co-conspirators, the two deceived banks and credit card companies into processing payments for the purchase and delivery of marijuana products. They used offshore accounts of shell companies to present the transactions as payments for dog products, diving gear, carbonated drinks, green tea, and face creams.

‘Fighting Us on a Daily Basis’: Expert Sounds Alarm on CCP’s Political Warfare Against the West

These are just some of the weapons used by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in its all-encompassing war against the free world, according to Kerry Gershaneck, author of the 2020 book (pdf) “Political Warfare: Strategies for Combating China’s Plan to ‘Win Without Fighting.’”

Dubbed “political warfare,” but also known by other names like “unrestricted warfare,” this mode of war stops just short of full-fledged military assaults. But it’s no less lethal, the author notes, given that the goal is to win against an enemy without firing a single shot.

The CCP is “willing to fight war with everything. There are no boundaries,” Gershaneck, who has been a visiting scholar at Taiwan’s National Chengchi University for the past three years, told The Epoch Times in an interview.

It’s a concept the West doesn’t understand, he said.

In his book, Gershaneck, who previously served in senior strategic communications and in counterintelligence assignments in the U.S. government and taught at universities in Southeast Asia, recounts drawing blank looks from instructors at the institutes that train State Department and Pentagon staff when he enquired about the topic.

“I may as well have asked them to explain how they taught quantum mechanics or matter-antimatter asymmetry, for they had no idea what I was talking about,” he writes, recalling an interaction a few years ago with instructors who taught public affairs at the State Department’s Foreign Service Institute in Arlington, Virginia.

Institutional Ignorance

This ignorance, which pervaded successive U.S. administrations from the end of the Cold War up until President Donald Trump took office, was the result of the West being lulled into a false sense of security after defeating the Soviet Union, Gershaneck said. At the end of the Cold War, Democracy had prevailed once and for all over communism, the thinking went.

“We naively ignored the other growing threat—and that was the People’s Republic of China,” he said.

The Chinese regime would eventually become more democratic as it increased its trade and engagements with the international community, the thinking went.

So the United States shut down the political warfare apparatus it had built during the Cold War.

China Hits US & Canadian Officials With More Counter-Sanctions

On Saturday China unleashed its next round of tit-for-tat sanctions following Monday's coordinated human rights abuse related sanctions announced by the US, EU, UK, and Canada. As was forewarned, these newest sanctions target Canada, but also includes more American officials.

The AFP details, "Two members of the US Commission on International Religious Freedom, Gayle Manchin and Tony Perkins, as well as Canadian MP Michael Chong and a Canadian parliamentary committee on human rights are prohibited from entering mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau," as listed by the Chinese foreign ministry.

Along with the new punitive counter-measures the foreign ministry repeated its earlier assertion that the US and Canada imposed sanctions on Beijing officials on Monday "based on rumors and disinformation."

The sanctioned individuals within the Canadian and US governments "must stop political manipulation on Xinjiang-related issues, stop interfering in China's internal affairs in any form," the ministry added, noting that they are now banned from conducting any business with Chinese companies or individuals.

"Otherwise, they will get their fingers burnt," the statement warned threateningly.

China's immediate response following this week's punitive measures from the Western allies based on the Xinjiang allegations - which center on China's network of 'reeducation' camps and labor prisons - was to call it a mere "a pretext for interfering in China's internal affairs and frustrate China's development."

"People of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang, including the Uyghurs, enjoy each and every constitutional and lawful right. The fact that Xinjiang residents of various ethnic groups enjoy stability, security, development and progress, makes it one of the most successful human rights stories," Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying had claimed in an official statement.

There's likely more anti-Canada action to come, given multiple members of Canadian parliament have been extremely vocal of late in calling for greater punishment against Beijing, including the Boycotting of the 2022 Beijing Olympics.
