In short: they died and many Western firms died from unfair global trading and competition.

There is no quality in slave labour.

And quality and high living standards die in competition to slave labour practises.

Globalism made the living standards in the West decline.

Now Davos is telling us here to have the same low living standards like Asia or Africa.
