Ghislaine Maxwell’s Attorneys Seeking Original Photo Of Accuser With Prince Andrew And A Pair Of Cowboy Boots

Attorneys for Ghislaine Maxwell, accused of procuring underage girls for the late millionaire sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, are seeking the original photo of Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre with Prince Andrew, as well as a pair of cowboy boots Epstein allegedly bought a teen girl.

The New York Post reported that the requests were included in a motion that was unsealed Friday and filed by Boies Schiller Flexner, LLP, a law firm representing more than five of Epstein’s victims, including Giuffre and Annie Farmer. Both women claim Maxwell groomed them as teenagers to be Epstein’s sex slaves.Sigrid McCawley, an attorney at the law firm, wrote in the motion that Maxwell’s requests were “overbroad” and amounted to a “fishing expedition” to obtain personal information about the accusers in an effort to smear them, the Post reported.

The cowboy boots, Maxwell’s attorneys said, were bought by her and Epstein for Farmer when she flew to the wealthy pedophile’s New Mexico ranch – where she was allegedly abused. As for the photo, it is unclear why an original is requested, but Giuffre has claimed she was forced to have sex with Prince Andrew when she was only 17. Prince Andrew has repeatedly denied the allegations, claiming in a BBC interview that he had “no recollection of ever meeting this lady, none whatsoever.”

One other request Maxwell’s included in the motion was for copies of “all recent communication between the firm and law enforcement about Epstein pal Jean-Luc Brunel, a model scout who is being probed in Paris for the alleged sex trafficking of minors,” the Post reported. “Maxwell’s defense team has accused the high-powered legal firm of improperly sharing information with prosecutors from the Southern District of New York to build a criminal case against her.”Maxwell has pleaded not guilty to the charges against her and remains in prison at the Metropolitan Detention Center after three separate motions for bail have been denied.

While in prison, Maxwell has lodged several complaints about her treatment, the most recent of which includes a claim that she was physically abused during a pat-down search in her cell. Maxwell’s attorney, Bobbi Sternheim, claimed in the letter that Maxwell asked that a surveillance camera record the pat-down but was refused, The Daily Wire previously reported.

“When Ms. Maxwell recoiled in pain and when she said she would report the mistreatment, she was threatened with disciplinary action,” Sternheim claimed in the letter. In December, Maxwell claimed she was losing weight and her hair while in prison, The Daily Wire previously reported. This complaint was also lodged in a letter from Sternheim.

“While [Maxwell’s] weight may currently be fairly consistent, she had lost over 15 pounds, and she is sustaining hair loss,” the attorney wrote.

Joe Biden, Media Claim Georgia Law Prevents Giving Water To Voters In Line. That’s Not True.

Any attempt to ensure the integrity of the voting process is met with allegations of racism or harm by the Left. The latest example comes again from failed Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams and has been parroted by President Joe Biden and his media supporters.

On Friday, Biden repeated a false talking point from Abrams claiming a new Georgia law prevents people from providing water to voters standing in line waiting to vote.“It’s an atrocity. The idea, you want any indication, it has nothing to do with fairness, nothing to do with decency. They pass a law saying you can’t provide water for people standing in line, while they’re waiting to vote. You don’t need anything else to know that this is nothing but punitive, designed to keep people from voting. You can’t provide water for people about to vote? Give me a break,” Biden claimed.

As National Reviews Dan McLaughlin reported, Biden is wrong. The bill to which Biden is referring states:

No person shall solicit votes [or] distribute or display any campaign material, nor shall any person give, offer to give, or participate in the giving of any money or gifts, including, but not limited to, food and drink, to [a voter] … This Code section shall not be construed to prohibit a poll officer…from making available self-service water from an unattended receptacle to [a voter] waiting in line to vote.McLaughlin noted that the law applies to a 150-foot radius around polling places or “within 25 feet of any voter standing in line to vote at any polling place.” He wrote also that the law doesn’t prohibit voters from bringing their own food or beverages to stand in line or ordering food to be delivered. People can also donate food and drinks to voters, it just has to be given to poll workers for general use.

“The president’s claim that ‘You can’t provide water for people about to vote’ is just false. What you cannot do under the new Georgia law is deploy people in National Rifle Association t-shirts and MAGA hats to hand out free Koch-brothers-financed, Federalist Society–branded pizza to voters,” McLaughlin wrote. “In other words, this entire controversy is not about people dropping dead of hunger and thirst on long voting lines at all. It’s about electioneering around the polling place by people looking to advertise that they represent a cause, and who try to influence voters by giving them free stuff. Across the country today, we already have lots of laws against this sort of thing. There is nothing wrong with Georgia trying to limit it.”

McLaughlin noted that other states have similar laws regarding political messages. In Minnesota, for example, there is a ban on approaching voters in line:

No one except an election official or an individual who is waiting to register or to vote or an individual who is conducting exit polling shall stand within 100 feet of the building in which a polling place is located. Minn. Stat. § 204C.06

Group of 75 Silicon Valley leaders including Laurene Powell Jobs and Eric Schmidt sign letter opposing recall of Gavin Newsom as 2.2 MILLION signatures have been gathered to force a vote on a new state leader

A group of 75 Silicon Valley leaders including Laurene Powell Jobs and Eric Schmidt have signed a letter opposing the recall of Gavin Newsom, as 2.2 million signatures have now been gathered to force a vote on ousting the governor from office.

Some of the biggest names in tech publicly threw their support behind the California governor this week, penning a letter in which they urged residents to reject the 'politically motivated' recall.

The tech leaders argued removing the Democrat from office before his term ends would 'roll back growing progress' the state is making around the COVID-19 vaccine rollout and reopening the economy after being hammered by the pandemic.

The show of support comes as a recall vote becomes increasingly likely, with organizers nearing the threshold of signatures needed to get the measure on the ballot.

Once reached, Californians will cast a vote on whether to remove Newsom from office and pick his replacement.

Newsom has vowed to fight the 'partisan, Republican' recall, which he said is backed by 'anti-mask and anti-vax extremists', and has started fundraising to defend his seat.

Organizers said they had amassed over 2.2 million signatures by their final collection deadline on March 17.

They now have until April 29 to verify the signatures.

The last update on the verification up to March 11, around 1.19 million signatures were verified out of a possible 1.45 million examined.

Based on this 81.7 percent success rate, it is likely that around 1.79 million of the 2.2 million votes will be verified - sailing past the 1.5 million threshold.

The recall process is quite lengthy with the state then given 10 days to verify that the signatures make the required threshold, followed by 30 days for any signatories to withdraw their names from the petition.

Given the various legal hoops that must be cleared, it could take until September of October before the vote is put on the statewide ballot - provided the threshold is reached.

Then California voters will vote whether or not to recall Newsom and who they want to replace him with.

This marks the sixth official attempt to recall Newsom since he took office just two years ago in 2019.
