The shocking ways billionaires, highly profitable companies hide their money

At 60-stories high and 684-feet tall, Boston’s Millennium Tower, a residential luxury high-rise that opened in 2016, is the fourth-tallest building in the city.

It is also a virtual ghost town.

That’s because the Millennium is less of a playground for the rich and more of a tax shelter in the sky, writes Chuck Collins in his new book, “The Wealth Hoarders: How Billionaires Pay Millions to Hide Trillions” (Polity), out next month.

“Over 35 percent of the 443 condominiums are owned by shell companies and trusts, and almost 80 percent of the unit owners do not claim a residential exemption, indicating that the condo is not their primary home,” writes Collins. “With average condominiums selling for over $4 million, Millennium Tower is not only a wealthy residence for the rich, but also a ‘wealth storage unit’ for global capital looking to park itself and hold value.”

Collins knows a little something about the ultra-wealthy. A great-grandson of cold-cut magnate Oscar Mayer, Collins inherited $500,000 at age 25 and gave it all away to charitable organizations. Since then, Collins, now 61, has spent his life educating and writing about the impact of wealth inequality.

His new book focuses on what he calls the Wealth Defense Industry (WDI), noting that not only do the ultra-wealthy — which he defines as the 0.1 percent — spend time and money ensuring they pay almost no taxes, but that there are over 90,000 professionals around the world whose careers are dedicated to helping them do so.

“The wealth defenders are a booming sector of the white-collar workforce around the world,” he writes. “They are the gatekeepers — the lawyers and accountants with expertise in trusts and estates, tax law, incorporation, and business transactions.

“What the industry euphemistically calls ‘tax efficiency,’ ” he adds, is a gentler term “for legal and illegal tax dodging.”

March 24, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) — A pneumologist has been cleared of suspicion of “malpractice” by the Bihor Medical College in Romania after having been summoned on Monday to present her personal method for treating COVID-19 patients, which she claims has already allowed her to cure up to 1,000 patients.

Flavia Groșan, from Oradea near the Hungarian border, has been vocal in the Romanian media regarding her choice not to apply official protocols to treat COVID-19 patients at all stages of the illness, instead approaching the disease as an “atypical pneumonia.” She even went so far as to say that huge mistakes are being made in hospitals with excessive oxygen-therapy and, in the worst cases, intubation, which she claims actually “kills” the sick. Too much oxygen for too lengthy periods at a time, says Groșan, can lead to cerebral edema which in turn can cause death. Intubation is even more dangerous, according to the broncho-pneumologist.

Her option, based on her twenty-year long experience, is to administer less oxygen so as not to go beyond a patient’s needs, and she also gives antibiotics and a few other cheap medicines, contrary to recommendations in many countries. This option, she says, has allowed her to heal “100 percent” of some 1,000 patients who went through her hands, with only a tiny handful perhaps going on to hospital later without her knowledge.

“My goal from the beginning of the pandemic was that no patient should get on the oxygen mask, nor be intubated. And it didn’t happen,” she told the widely-read daily National. “I use my classic, cheap medication, which also includes Clarithromycin, an antibiotic that is part of the macrolide antibiotic group. It is the only antibiotic with viral tropism (the property to be located in certain organs).”

“There are only three antibiotics in the macrolide class, erythromycin, which everyone knows, azithromycin and clarithromycin. I don’t like azithromycin because it’s a weaker copy of clarithromycin. I worked in some very interesting clinical studies on pneumonia and there I learned about the viral tropism of clarithromycin, as well as the anti-inflammatory role of clarithromycin, which no antibiotic has. I have been working with this antibiotic in viral and atypical pneumonias for 10 years. When the pandemic hit I went for an etiological treatment, clarithromycin. Of course, in addition to this antibiotic, there are several adjuvant treatments, because it can’t cope alone. It is a treatment scheme that is my own.”

Is Joe Biden Trying to Buy Joe Manchin's Loyalty?

With a 50-50 split in the United States Senate, there are two things Joe Biden cannot afford: Democrat defections and a filibuster. Senate rules require 60 votes for cloture to move on legislation, and recent years have turned the filibuster into an obstruction tactic by the minority party.

Senator Joe Manchin, a moderate Democrat from the very red state of West Virginia, has found himself in a very powerful position. His support or opposition to key legislation could make or break Joe Biden’s agenda in Congress.

So, it’s hard not to raise an eyebrow at the fact that Joe Biden has nominated Gayle Conelly Manchin, Senator Joe Manchin’s wife, to co-chair the Appalachian Regional Commission, which is an economic development partnership with 13 states designed “to innovate, partner, and invest to build community capacity and strengthen economic growth in Appalachia.” The position requires Senate confirmation.

This nomination comes at a time when Manchin has publicly expressed opposition to extreme gun control, a $15 minimum wage, and eliminating the filibuster.

So, what exactly is Biden up to?

It is not unprecedented for the spouse of a member of Congress to serve in an executive branch position. For example, Senator Mitch McConnell’s wife Elaine Chao served as transportation secretary under President Trump and labor secretary under President George W. Bush.

But it’s hard to ignore the special circumstances surrounding Mrs. Manchin’s nomination that suggests, regardless of her qualifications, an ulterior motive by Joe Biden, or whoever it is making his decisions for him.

Graham on border crisis: When Biden team says 'this is a Trump problem, they're lying'

Speaking at the border, Graham says the Biden transition team was aware that rescinding Trump's border policies could cause a migration crisis: 'This is a problem of their own making'

Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., the ranking member of the Budget Committee, said the Biden administration was briefed by border security experts about the danger of rescinding former President Trump's "Remain in Mexico" policy but followed through on doing so anyway.

The policy, also referred to as the Migration Protection Protocols, required asylum seekers stopped at the border to remain in Mexico while they wait for the U.S. immigration court hearing.

"They knew. If the Trump administration had been told something, and they did the opposite, and it blew up in their face, everybody would be asking the Trump administration, what did you know and when did you know it? So I'm going to help you here with your reporting," Graham said during a press conference at the border alongside other GOP senators on Friday.

"Mr. Hastings, who's a two star Border Patrol leader, told us that he briefed transition members of the Biden administration as to what would happen if you do away with the 'Remain in Mexico' policy. He told us they briefed the Biden administration on what would happen if you change the Title 42 laws to allow unaccompanied children to come here and not be sent back home. Everything they said would happen happened," he added.

Graham vowed to find out who Hastings talked to on the Biden team and "memorialize that conversation and hold them accountable because they knew." Graham said Biden encouraged even more illegal immigration at his first news conference as president on Thursday.

"And when they say this is a Trump problem, they're lying. This is a problem of their own making. What else have I learned? That Joe Biden, the president, made the problem worse yesterday. This was a nightmare press conference. He told everybody, don't worry, we've got crowded facilities. We're gonna build 5,000 more beds in Texas, at a military base," Graham said.

"So how does that play in Central America? They're going to expand the number of people they can take. He said when a child has a phone number on their wrist, we're going call the family member and unite that family. This is uniting illegal immigration," he added.

Graham argued that the Biden administration is causing more human trafficking by changing the Trump-era border enforcement policies. He held up a chart showing that apprehensions at the border were dropping after the "Remain in Mexico" policy went into effect.

"So the last thing I learned is that we're complicit as a nation in human trafficking. What did we learn last night? There's a trail on our side of the border with markers placed by the federal government to show illegal immigrants where to go. That we're transporting people who pay to get here, the last mile with your taxpayer dollar," Graham said. "It's costing about $800 a day per child."

Sen. Ron Johnson, former ranking member of the Homeland Security Committee, referred to the arrows the lawmakers saw directing migrants who cross the border as the "Biden arrow."

The “Corona Crisis” and the War of “The Super-Rich” against the Earth’s Citizens

Corporations, multinational investment banks, and the super-rich that hide behind them have launched the final stage this year of a ruthless war of a tiny few against the great majority of humanity.

Although they pay off their puppets in the media to float happy tales of some happy resolution to the dire situation of the moment, they already know that the die is cast, that they are committed to a strategy of distracting, seeding division, undermining rational thinking and using a combination of blatant intimidation with open bribery to slowly, systematically, overpower and reduce to slavery 99.98% of the Earth’s population.

They know already, according to the calculations of their supercomputers, what will happen if they are not successful in this plan. They also know that catastrophic climate change and biodiversity loss will make it impossible for them to monopolize the wealth and the resources for long.

There is literally no limit to how far they will go.

The tools they use to pursue this war against the citizens of the Earth are technology, propaganda and disinformation campaigns, threats against individuals who display leadership skills and massive bribes for the leaders who are allowed to be covered in the media to represent the conservative and the progressive causes.

They also employ as part of this strategy an intimate knowledge of certain key weaknesses in the brain, and the potential for exploiting the human inclination to determine truth based on a vague sense of the mood of the herd, rather than logic. That is to say they are investing billions in hidden money to systematically create social pressure that makes citizens conform with pointless mandates for masks or vaccines that are launched from diverse platforms as a means of inducing the population to police itself.

Without such a strategy, the super-rich could not possibly seize control of the entire Earth.

There has been extensive research by corporations, and by the CIA and Department of Defense (government organizations exploited to hide the true entities demanding such research) into how humans can be manipulated without their knowledge, and compelled through imperceptible persuasion to permit, or even aid, their own disenfranchisement without us even being aware of this silent and invisible takeover.

Such operations have been undertaken before, but never on this global scale. New developments in super-computing and the global integration of, and deregulation of, finance, has made such a master plan possible for the first time.

Recent developments are best viewed as the final acceleration of a process by which corporations bribed and lobbied all authority figures in government and academics to go along with a process of privatization, commercialization, and automation that now means that a tiny handful of people can control every aspect of human experience in an absolute sense while the vast majority of citizens cannot even conceive of what is taking place. We have not reached that state yet, but Elon Musk, Bill Gates and others believe, based on the calculations of supercomputers, that it is now possible.

The super-rich has also invested wisely in the establishment of a panoply of sham activists, or toothless, “feel good, do nothing” NGOs.

These “movements” are allowed to appear in the corporate-controlled media, and they pretend to respond to corporate power, but they purposely discourage citizens from organizing themselves (they ask only for donations, or attendance at protests, but they pointedly do not empower people to form their own groups or achieve financial and ideological independence).

Such NGOs are silent about the mass manipulation of the media and of politics by global finance—even though that is the primary cause of the political problems we face.

If we follow the current trajectory, there will not be a single part of our lives that is completely controlled by a multinational corporation in the next few years.

We do not have that long to act.
