Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro on Sunday proposed paying for vaccines against the novel coronavirus with oil, though he provided few details about how such a scheme would work.
The crisis-stricken OPEC nation’s crude exports have plummeted to their lowest levels in decades since Washington sanctioned state oil company Petroleos de Venezuela in 2019, cutting off Venezuela’s exports to the United States and dissuading many other customers from buying Venezuelan oil as well.
Maduro said Venezuela was working to pay for vaccines from the World Health Organization’s (WHO) COVAX mechanism - which provides vaccine access to poor countries - both through Venezuelan funds frozen in overseas accounts due to sanctions, and through oil shipments.
“Venezuela has the oil vessels and has the customers who will buy our oil,” Maduro said in a state television address. “We are ready and prepared for oil for vaccines, but we will not beg anyone.”

IT’S HERE: United States’ First “Vaccine Passport” Coming to New York in Less Than a Week
The so-called “Excelsior Pass,” which provides proof of COVID-19 vaccination or negative test results, is coming very soon to New York.
The Excelsior Pass Wallet app will “store Passes on a mobile device for easy access at any time,” according to the Pass website hosted on NY.gov. Printing a Pass is also an option.
A Friday news release explains that the Excelsior Pass will be similar to a mobile airline boarding pass.
“Each Pass will have a secure QR code, which participating businesses and venues can scan using a companion app to verify proof of COVID-19 negative test results or proof of vaccination. An individual’s data is kept secure and confidential at all times,” the news release says.

Nashville, TN — South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem has received a lot of scrutiny for her failure to sign a Republican-led bill that would ban transgender athletes from competing in sports outside the gender of their birth. Left-wing media outlets have celebrated her move to “protect” a transgender’s rights to compete in the sport of the gender they choose. Article after article shares how she has angered the conservative base because she was not “intolerant” like the rest of conservatives.
Unfortunately, Gov. Kristi Noem (R-SD) fell into the liberal trap that was set regarding transgender sports. She had admitted she was excited to sign the bill in a tweet earlier this month. Now, she claims that we have to trust her because she asked for revisions to a bill she deemed would fail in court. Some legal experts have said that it was simply a misleading statement in order to protect her.
The fact is that Kristi Noem did cave to the NCAA and the potential to protect women’s sports. She destroyed her chances to be a political leader in the movement that former President Donald Trump had started. It is too bad because she showed a lot of promise for the future.

Given what we know about Gov. Kemp's staffer being killed last year, I wonder if she was threatened. Nothing else makes sense. Her not signing this is right up there with Justice Robert's ObamaCare decision.

Whistleblower: Pornhub Tells Content Moderators Not to Report Child Porn to Authorities
A whistleblower has come forward claiming they used to work for Mindgeek, which is the conglomerate behind Pornhub and other smut websites, and the company deliberately allowed child porn to be collected and distributed on their platform.
Canadian MP Charlie Angus read the whistleblower testimony while speaking before parliament on the matter.
“I fear for my safety so I prefer not to give more details, but please investigate all the cam girl sites that Mindgeek runs,” the whistleblower said. “I am certain many of these so-called Mindgeek models are being held in captive in trafficking situations all over the world.”
“For example, women trying to escape North Korea will be held captive and forced into the cam studios in China by their trafficker who they thought would help them get out. This story repeats globally,” they added.
