Intellectual zombie apocalypse?

Anyone else feel like we’re living in an intellectual zombie apocalypse? Not that you have to be an ‘intellectual’ to not be ‘infected’ but it’s like so many people have been deprived of the ability or will to think independently being overwhelmed with media, government and social media propaganda. Then when you stick your head over the parapet as a ‘normal’ they come for your brains. The elites are very into their symbolism which would tie in the abundance of zombie films/programs with the current mass brainwashing.
