California – According to San Diego County Supervisor Jim Desmond, the San Diego County Board of Education will be sending teachers for in-person learning for the illegal alien migrant children at the convention center.

The illegal aliens will be learning in person while many schools in San Diego County are still closed for in-person learning.

More than 500 unaccompanied minor migrants, most of whom are from El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras, were flown from Texas to San Diego over the weekend to take shelter at the San Diego Convention Center.

The first group of illegal aliens arrived on Saturday night after flying from Texas to San Diego airport.

They were then taken by buses to their temporary shelter.

The second group of 250 migrants arrived to San Diego on Monday, according to Fox 5.

The unaccompanied migrants will be provided “vital services” such as medical care, food, a place to sleep and showers.

The illegal alien children aged 13-17 will also be in-person learning while American children are forced to attend Zoom classes and fall behind.

According to KUSI News, at least 20 migrant children staying at the convention center tested positive for Covid-19 Monday afternoon.

Arkansas passes bill to ban certain types of care for transgender youth

Sixteen other states are considering similar bills. Civil rights organizations have said they are likely to sue to stop any such bills that are enacted.

Arkansas lawmakers passed a measure on Monday that could make the state the first in the country to prevent doctors from providing certain types of care to transgender youth, part of a wave of US legislation that would restrict transgender rights.

The Arkansas legislation threatens any healthcare professional who provides puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones or gender-affirming surgery to minors with losing their medical license and opens them up to lawsuits from patients who later regret their procedures.

Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson, a Republican, has declined to say whether he would sign the bill into law.

Sixteen other states are considering similar bills. Civil rights organizations have said they are likely to sue to stop any such bills that are enacted.

On Friday, Hutchinson signed another bill opposed by transgender advocates, which would ban transgender women and girls from playing female sports.

Republicans across the country have introduced a record 127 bills on transgender issues in 22 states this year, according to the Human Rights Campaign, the largest LGBTQ organization in the United States.

Like Arkansas, Mississippi also enacted a law this month that ban athletes who were designated male at birth from playing women's or girls sports at public schools or universities. Idaho passed one last year that was blocked by a federal court.

Proponents of the medical legislation say they want to protect children from irreversible procedures they could later regret.

"They're not mature enough to make those kinds of decisions," said Tennessee state Representative John Ragan, the lead sponsor of a bill that would ban most transgender treatment for minors unless it has the consent of three physicians.

Transgender advocates see the proposals as a political ploy to whip up right-wing outrage. They contend the measures are unconstitutional, defy the best medical science and rely on outdated stereotypes.

"As a trans person, as a parent, I can't stress enough how devastating the consequences would be," Chase Strangio, deputy director for transgender justice at the American Civil Liberties Union, told a news conference on Monday.

The American Academy of Pediatrics, which represents 67,000 pediatricians, was among several medical organizations to oppose the Arkansas bill, saying it would cut off trans kids from needed medical care and needlessly increase their already high risk of suicide.

Australia Imposes Sanctions on Russian Individual, 4 Companies Over Crimean Railway Bridge

The news comes just a day after Canada introduced sanctions on two Russian executives and four entities in response to Crimea's reunification with Russia, which Moscow slammed as "disregard for reality", given that the Crimean people voted to rejoin Russia in a referendum in 2014.

Australia has imposed sanctions against one individual and four companies from Russia associated with the construction and operation of the railway section of the Crimean Bridge, the country's Foreign Minister Marise Payne said in a statement.

"Australia has imposed targeted financial sanctions and travel bans against a Russian individual and four Russian companies connected to the construction and operation of the Kerch Strait Railway Bridge," Payne said.

On Monday, Global Affairs Canada announced that Foreign Affairs Minister Marc Garneau imposed sanctions on two Russian executives and four entities in response to the decision of the Crimean people to rejoin Russia. Later, the Russian Embassy in Canada issued a statement, noting that this decision was "based on lies, historical revisionism and disregard for reality" - given that Crimea is a Russian territory and has been an integral part of the country for centuries, despite a brief 23-year stint within Ukraine’s borders.

Just a week ago, Ottawa announced it sanctioned nine senior Russian officials in line with similar measures taken earlier by the United States and the European Union over the case of Russian vlogger Alexey Navalny. Following the announcement, the Russian Foreign Ministry blamed Canada’s ruling elite for reducing bilateral relations with Russia to historic lows and vowed that the Russian response will be tough and shortly forthcoming.

Crimea rejoined Russia on March 16, 2014, after over 95 percent of voters backed the move in a referendum, which followed a violent power change in Ukraine. Two days later, an agreement on Crimea's accession to the Russian Federation was signed.

Report: Biden Infrastructure Plan to Spend $4 Trillion, Increase Taxes by $3 Trillion

President Joe Biden’s infrastructure plan may include $4 trillion in spending and $3 trillion in increased taxes, according to a report released Monday.

The Washington Post reported that Biden’s infrastructure plan might include $4 trillion in new spending and $3 trillion in tax increases.

Members of the White House Economic Council reportedly remain worried about the increase in spending.

“The officials worried that the large gap between spending and revenue would widen the deficit by such a large degree that it could risk triggering a spike in interest rates, which could in turn cause federal debt payments to skyrocket, said the people familiar with the matter,” the Post’s Jeff Stein wrote.

The infrastructure plan follows as Biden recently signed the Democrats’ partisan $1.9 trillion coronavirus package.

The reported Biden proposal would serve as one of the largest tax hikes in generations. This runs in contrast to President Donald Trump’s administration, which cut taxes with the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.

Democrats also reportedly disagree over if they should focus on physical infrastructure such as roads and bridges compared to social welfare spending such as child care.

Celinda Lake, a Democrat pollster who worked for Biden’s 2020 campaign, said:

We know that Republicans and particularly blue-collar men really like the physical building kind of infrastructure and see that as leading to good paying jobs for men in particular. And women and the Democratic base really respond to what you might call softer infrastructure — child care; school; caregiving responsibilities — which have come home very vividly during covid. It’ll be a challenge, but they have a major opportunity here to do both in a way that both helps these constituencies and is majorly appealing to them as voters.

Passing another large spending bill remains a daunting task for Democrats that passed their coronavirus package on partisan lines through the House and the Senate.

The Senate remains split at 50-50 and Democrats may have to use budgetary reconciliation to pass the large infrastructure spending package.

This may explain why Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) is exploring using reconciliation for additional time to pass another spending bill using only a simple majority. Normally, Congress can only use budgetary reconciliation once per fiscal year.

Columnist Elliott Ruiz, writing for Millenio, one of the leading publications in Mexico, is predicting that the candidate for governor of Nuevo Leon, Clare Luz Flores, is going to lose the election. She was leading in the polls in a four-way race.

Then the startling revelation came, based on a story in Frank Report, that she was a coach in Nxivm. That by itself did not submarine her. It was her answers to questions of journalists denying that she ever heard the name Nxivm, only vaguely knew about a course and the people attending it from Monterrey and knew not of Keith Raniere, that made her look the fool. Especially when she was being set up — since journalists already had a video of her in a Keith Raniere conversation that was filmed not in Monterrey but in Albany, world headquarters of Nxivm.

I think it is of importance because it shows that Nxivm and Raniere can swing elections -but not as the world’s self proclaimed smartest man hoped. He wanted to install the president [Emiliano Salinas] and hand pick various candidates and control the country. Now just the dint of association with him is the death knell of candidates, fair or not.

As for Clare Luz Flores her blunder was not so much that she had taken some course – and more than a few since one does not become a coach in Nxivm with only one or two courses – but because she lied about it.

Of course everyone is getting burned at the stake just for being associated with Nxivm, and perhaps she felt she had to lie; it was perhaps for her as simple as denying, for example, that she was a witch back in old Salem.

But because she was a political candidate for a serious office, and because there was evidence of her lies, she might have been better advised to tell the truth. It remains to be seen how badly she will be hurt by this when election day, June 6, comes around.
