Someone could probably do a better summary of this part of the movie vs today's condition(i'm bad with putting things into words, I know what is going on, but find it hard to relay them here, sorry…old age I guess)…
In the movie they get the code "FGD135" to arm their NUKE…then they are then attacked by a nuke missile from the enemy…they survive…they finish the bombing run…drop the NUKE (not in this clip) and blow all hell out of the enemy…
So, If I was to guess, in today's situation…we are so close, we are taking FLAK…we got beat up a bit…and on our final approach with the final "BOOM"…my best guess.
