Trump's plan failed because of Trump.
Trump either was a bad actor himself, or he was astoundingly naive.
He never attacked the media oligarchs with anything more than words. He repeatedly appointed career politicians loyal to the deep state. Naturally, they betrayed him. Every single one.
Yes. Those and of course the people who risked their lives for Trump, and the woman who died for him.
And what did Trump do to defend them? Sic the FBI on them.
What he should have done is appoint Ashley Babbitt to Secretary of Justice back in 2017. Or someone like her.

And who'd he replace them with?
Did any of their replacements lift a finger for him on, before, or after November?
If I was a journalist, why would I point out the fact that the CEOs of media corporations are the actual oligarchs in America?
