That graphic is fucking absolutely absurd. The pituitary gland sits inside a little cup-like structure within the sphenoid bone also called the wasp bone sometimes. It's extremely difficult to remove from within the cranium after the brain and dura matter are stripped from the interior of the skull. I know from first hand experience as I've removed a couple hundred of them. The graphic shows a pair of forceps just going up the nose and apparently just simply removing it. That's bullshit. The sphenoid bone from the underside is way too thick and it would cause extreme, absurd amounts of pain if you tried to just take it out through the nose.
