What we learned from the Chauvin trial today
The two passengers in the car with Floyd were BOTH drug dealers, who had already previously sold Floyd drugs that led him to overdose and stay in the hospital for at least 5 days.
The guy that was seating in the front seat and tried to use fake bills earlier at the store, gave a fake name to the police officers
Floyd and his GF were using opiates at first (according to the GF), but had recently started using stimulants (from what the defense lawyer said, it might be meth).
According to the GF, Floyd has been using lots of drugs in the weeks preceding the incident, speaking of change in behavior.
The first time the GF was given a pill of stimulant instead of opiates, she testified to law enforcement agents that 'she felt like she was going to die'.
MAMA IS THE NICKNAME FLOYD USED FOR HIS GF.
According to the paramedics, the pupils of Floyd were very dilated, which is consistent with meth use.
The officers had a valid reason for not to use the strap to put Floyd in 'maximal restraint' : EMS and paramedics were on the way, and removing the belt would have cost a lot of time to remove
That's the main points I took from today's hearings.
Did I miss anything important?
