Anon, the whole point of the school system is to make people into mindless parrots.
You get rewarded for being a parrot.
You are not rewarded for being a free thinker.
That's actually one of the biggest problems there is. Think of the medical system for example.
With trained parrots that totally corrupt system works (it's based on fraud + scams).
With critical thinkers it would not work.
It would collapse.
