I didn't stop drinking until I hit rock bottom, I knew I was on a path of destruction, I saw the destruction clearly in front of me but, "I'll quit tomorrow, just a little, I can handle this"
Until you are at the end of the rope, until the pain is sooo great you have no other options, you will never take the first step (open your eyes to the truths). And even then, after all that, I fell many times, but the important thing was I got back up, dusted myself off and kept on taking another step. Eventually, I figured it out, I needed to leave it all behind me. I set down that bag of rocks I had been carrying and left it behind (walk away from the past) now I walk a different road. And now I walk it with my Lord.
