Someone remind me, again, why God needs a blood sacrifice? Still don't have an answer for that one, ya know.

Today we reflect on unfathomable, incomprehensible grace.

Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was born to die for you & me. He died for our sins, enduring the penalty that we deserved.

His love saved humanity. We remember His death on a cross which paved the way for eternal life!

See, that's where you goofed, anon! He died for me and you. Don't you want to realize just how fucked up you are for being born into this sinful world? You have to believe "X" or "Y" will happen to your eternal soul.

So the thousands of years of parishioners bringing all those "Best of your flock" sacrifices to the temple so the priests could have a BBQ every weekend were all for naught? Man, that's a real fucking bummer, isn't it? Cain figured out agriculture was NOT the way to God's heart early on, so it became all about those animal sacrifices, ya know.

Because you are basically asserting the doctrine that God was pissed at the lack of perfect sacrifices, so he decided to one-up his followers with the real deal after a couple thousand years. You do realize that's exactly what this means, right? No thanks. Doesn't make any sense whatsoever, and nobody questions this shit at all. Then when you do question it, you get responses like yours attempting to rationalize that in order to fix all the death in this world, you need more death that counts for more than the others.

That's fucked up; I don't care who you are.

Why would I even want to bother with understanding what the authors were thinking, anon? Understand what I typed and why. These fucks have been controlling people for generations; all based on unverifiable beliefs. I'm not here to pick a fight with you. I was agreeing with you that these beliefs are garbage, and used to control people.

You guys realize this isn't the first religion to have these sorts of stories, right?

https://historiska.se/norse-mythology/odin-en/

>He then hanged himself in Yggdrasil, the tree of life, for nine days and nine nights in order to gain knowledge of other worlds and be able to understand the runes.

https://norse-mythology.org/tales/ragnarok/

>Ragnarok is the cataclysmic destruction of the cosmos and everything in it โ€“ even the gods. When Norse mythology is considered as a chronological set of tales, the story of Ragnarok naturally comes at the very end.
