-If this young man got shot, the media would've turned it into a national story.-

-We can see how he did everything wrong: hands in his pockets, non-compliant, resisting, and fighting.-

He got lucky.

so great to see the public

two separate men

come to aid the officer

the guy has hands in pockets and resists

how in 2021 does anyone not know that this is never a good way to do things???

especially the blacks that keep saying police abuse

it is like they want the scuffle on purpose at this point???

the guy being pulled over did not comply with officer instructions

so great that the SANE public is aware of this in real time these days

everyone should be required to take a class every year from 4th grade to 12th grade

to understand the role of officers and how to interact with them

commands to follow

why to follow

and why being detained or not

what to do if pulled over

all people hands on steering wheel until officer asks for the id

and comply with any instructions until the officer has said you are free to go

this class requirement could change the entire landscape of interactions with officers in a generation

And require every 7 years all licensed drivers to complete a course as well and can be done online or via your devices

once completed, like a ten minute video or less, once they licensed driver hit I have reviewed and understand, and submit the I have reviewed information, they are done. It could prevent new auto registration if not completed and or new licensing for the driver. Just a thing to remind people that officers are here to serve and help, not hurt, just follow instructions and then be on your way if you are not doing anything wrong.

This would be so easy to just re-train and educate the public how to best interact with officers

give ALL people a agree set expectation what to do when interacting with officers.

ALL people would have the same class in al states.

Same teaching.

Same rules for best practice so everybody, public and officers go on their way and make it home.

No confusion by anyone.

Also make it mandatory that all officers have the identical video course.

This way down the road if anyone has a problem, we can all see that they KNEW how to behave, both sides, because we can see that over their lifetime in school and out of school they have seen the same information yearly in public schools and elsewhere K- 12, and then as licensed drivers.

ONE generation of school will NO LONGER have an excuse to not know how to interact when stopped or in the presence of officers.
