These new products, which many doctors and scientists claim do not even meet the legal definition of a “vaccine,” are described by the manufacturers themselves as “operating systems” called the “software of life,” and prior to COVID they have never been approved to be used on human populations.

There are literally thousands of doctors and scientists around the world who have spoken out against these experimental injections, some even calling them “biological weapons of mass destruction.”

Their voices are censored in the pharma-controlled corporate media and by Big Tech, so the people dying and becoming injured by these injections are the pro-vaccine people who primarily only get their information from these censored sources that are funded by Wall Street corporate billionaires, such as Bill Gates.

The CDC Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS), a U.S. Government funded database that tracks injuries and deaths reported to be caused by vaccines, reported only 36 deaths during the first quarter of 2020 through March 31st, and almost 50% of those deaths were infants below the age of 3.

Brooklyn rabbi under investigation for role in underage marriages

Inside a Brooklyn yeshiva, more than 100 people gathered last month to dance and celebrate a marriage — of a 15-year-old bride.

The groom was either 21 or 22, according to someone who was in attendance.

Now Joel Roth, the Hasidic rabbi who heads the Williamsburg yeshiva called Mosdos Heichel Hakodesh Breslev, is under investigation by the NYPD and city Administration for Children’s Services for his role in arranging and performing unofficial underage marriages, according to a report in The Forward.

A spokesman for the Brooklyn District Attorney’s office confirmed it was aware of an investigation “into marriages [Roth] performed.”

The legal age for a civil marriage in New York is 18, with 17-year-olds allowed to wed with parental and court permission.

While Roth’s weddings are only religious ceremonies — the couples are not old enough to get a city marriage license — the unions could run afoul of state laws.

“These are not legal marriages in New York State. I am sure there is a big fancy wedding, but it’s not like anyone at that wedding is asking to see the marriage license,” said Fraidy Reiss, the founder of Unchained at Last which advocates against forced marriages. “What it means is a lifetime of rape.”

Frimet Goldberger, a writer who used to belong to the Satmar Hasidic sect, posted a photo on Twitter last month of a baby-faced boy she said was 15 and newly engaged to a 17-year-old girl.

She alleged in a tweet that this “new trend” was started by Roth.

Goldberger told The Post that numerous parents have since contacted her saying Roth influenced their children to become his followers. She said she’s heard Roth’s teachings forbid any kind of birth control, or divorce.

“You get married at 15, you have a child at 16 or 17 and then that’s it for life,” she said.

When asked about the investigation, the NYPD responded that it “takes sexual assault and rape cases extremely seriously, and urges anyone who has been a victim to file a police report so we can perform a comprehensive investigation, and offer support and services to survivors.”

An ACS spokeswoman said she could not comment whether there was an investigation into Roth, only saying “child marriage is illegal in New York and we take allegations of child marriage and child sexual abuse very seriously.”

The young couples introduced and married by Roth live together. He says in one video that if the groom doesn’t have a job, “we’ll pay someone and they’ll give him a job,” according to a translation of the Yiddish provided to The Post.

An older sister of the 15-year-old married last month was wed last year at 16 and already has a child, the wedding attendee said.

Roth, 39, who is also known as Yoel, is described by some in the ultra Orthodox community as a charismatic figure popular among adolescent boys and girls.

He is also known for alienating the youngsters from their parents.

“He’s a bona fide cult leader who’s basically making minced meat out of parents,” said one community insider.

Roth is reportedly an adherent of a philosophy that dictates in order to save young boys from sexual “sin” they should be married off young.

He is the grandson of Rabbi Yechezkel Roth, a noted Jewish legal scholar who died last month at 86 and whose Brooklyn funeral attracted large crowds.

Roth veered off into a different Hasidic sect called Breslev and started the non-profit Camp Breslev in 2016.

The organization’s mission is to “conduct a House of Worship for the Jewish Religion” as well as “help poor grooms and brides to have a decent wedding and everything they need to start on their own,” state documents show.

Roth did not respond to a request for comment.

Guard Troops Rapidly Deploy to US Capitol After Attack on Police

The security posture is "steady" on Capitol Hill after a suspect rammed a car into two police officers Friday, acting U.S. Capitol Police Chief Yogananda Pittman told reporters in a press briefing.

The suspect was gunned down by police after exiting the vehicle and "lunging" at officers with a knife, she added.

Law enforcement have not yet released details on the suspect. Officer William F. Evans was identified by authorities as the police officer killed in the attack. He had served with the Capitol Police since March 2003.

National Guard troops mobilized, providing a more visual presence on Capitol Hill immediately following the attack. A large group of troops equipped with riot gear could be seen running toward the site of the attack, where they secured a major road that goes through the Capitol campus.

"The D.C. National Guard deployed an Immediate Response Force (IRF) composed of National Guard soldiers and airmen to the Capitol complex this afternoon to support the U.S. Capitol Police," the National Guard Bureau said in a statement.

The attack came while 2,300 troops are still patrolling the Capitol campus, a significant reduction from the 27,000 Guardsmen who deployed to Washington, D.C., in January in response to a pro-Trump mob attack on the Capitol in which another police officer died.

It is unclear whether additional soldiers will be called to respond to D.C. Pittman said there is currently no evidence to suggest there is an ongoing threat.

Authorities said they do not know the assailant's motivation or whether the attack is connected to the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.

Capitol Police and the Defense Department, which have not detailed any specific ongoing threats, have had to defend their plan to keep troops on Capitol Hill at least through May.

There has been a bipartisan call from lawmakers for the Guard to withdraw, something even top brass within the Guard itself have endorsed.

Last month, Reps. Adam Smith, D-Wash., and Mike Rogers, R-Ala., the top lawmakers on the House Armed Services Committee, pushed back on the Pentagon's proposal to keep soldiers on Capitol Hill.

"We are deeply troubled by the current level of security around the United States Capitol. More than two months after the January 6 attack, the seat of our nation's democracy remains heavily protected by Guardsmen and surrounded by a perimeter fence," the pair said in a joint statement.

The two agreed there should be some troops in the D.C. area to respond to credible threats but said, "The present security posture is not warranted at this time."

Universal Basic Income And The Road To Serfdom

Many people think that a universal basic income (UBI) would be a good substitute for the welfare state. Under this proposal, each person resident in a country would receive a guaranteed income, sufficient to live at a modest level. People would get the money unconditionally. Unlike welfare payments, the UBI would not be lessened if people earned money in addition to the amount it provided, and, because it is not means tested—absolutely everyone gets it, even billionaires—it requires no complex bureaucracy to administer.

The UBI would cost a great deal of money, but its defenders claim that since it is a substitute for the welfare state, we would also save the vast amounts of money now required for financing welfare programs. Further, if our economy continues to grow, at some point the UBI will become affordable. Charles Murray, for example, in a short book published a number of years ago, says of his version of the UBI, “I began this thought experiment by asking you to ignore that the Plan was politically impossible today. I end proposing that something like the Plan is politically inevitable—not next year, but sometime…. Real per capita GNP has grown with remarkable fidelity to an exponential growth equation for more than a century” (In Our Hands, AEI Press, 2006, p. 125).

The critics of the UBI aren’t convinced and still claim the program would be too costly to implement. In a recent book, Universal Basic Income – For and Against (Rational Rise Press, 2019). Antony Sammeroff offers a very able account of this controversy and many other issues connected with the UBI. He gives an especially good analysis of the argument that automation is liable to make so many people unemployable that a UBI will be needed to provide for them. But what I’d like to discuss this week is another argument that Sammeroff deploys to great effect against the UBI.

The UBI, Sammeroff reminds us, is a government program, and we ought always to view the state as an enemy of liberty. It is precisely the feature of the UBI that its supporters emphasize, its universal coverage, which would enable to state to exercise tyrannical control. Sammeroff says,

Now a Basic Income Guarantee may begin universal, but as the years wear on and it proves expensive to grant, corners may be cut to ensure its continuance. Hardly anyone will object to the UBI being withdrawn from criminals, for example. And then perhaps for anti-social behavior. Petty crimes, like littering the street, might lead people to receive a penalty against their UBI. A few might moan that this is the beginning of a government social-engineering program, but to most people it will seem like quite a sensible and reasonable measure…. Clipping people’s Basic Income will soon seem the most sensible and appropriate response to many crimes and misdemeanors. (p.148–49)

Not only could the state use the UBI as an instrument of social control; we have every reason to think those in charge of the state would exercise their power for bad motives.

This is the same class of people [who] launched a permanent war in the Middle East wasting trillions of dollars and destroying millions of lives. They bailed out the banks from the public purse and gave themselves raises after telling the rest of the nation that we had to tighten our belts. They have robbed the young of the opportunity to own a home by sending house prices through the roof, and mean to leave them a nation in ruinous debt. (p.147)

Sammeroff’s argument here is consistent with the contention of Hayek’s The Road to Serfdom, summarized in the title of chapter 10, “Why the Worst Get on Top,” but it is not quite the same. Hayek argues that rulers will very likely be bad, but Sammeroff’s point is not dependent on this thesis. His claim is rather that the evidence shows that our present rulers are bad and will remain so. Thus they can be expected to abuse the UBI program.

GOP senators push to end MLB antitrust status

Republican Sens. Mike Lee (Utah) and Ted Cruz (Texas) have joined calls to end MLB's antitrust exemption following the its decision to pull the 2021 All-Star Game out of Atlanta.

MLB announced the move on Friday, saying it would relocate the game in protest of Georgia’s voting restrictions signed into law last week. The decision has sparked blowback from GOP lawmakers across the country.

GOP Rep. Jeff Duncan (S.C.) said earlier Friday that he had told his staff to start drafting legislation to remove MLB’s decades-old antitrust exemption “in light of @MLB's stance to undermine election integrity laws.”

“An overwhelming bipartisan majority of Americans support requiring an ID to vote, and any organization that abuses its power to oppose secure elections deserves increased scrutiny under the law,” he added.

Hours later, Lee retweeted Duncan’s post, adding, “Why does @MLB still have antitrust immunity?”

“It’s time for the federal government to stop granting special privileges to specific, favored corporations—especially those that punish their political opponents,” the Utah senator wrote.

Jordan arrests former officials close to ruling monarchy for ‘security reasons’

Amman denies reports Prince Hamzah arrested, but says he was issued warning; Jordan reportedly tells Israel situation is ‘under control’

Jordan’s state news agency said Saturday that two former senior palace officials “and others” have been arrested for “security reasons.”

The Petra news agency denied initial reports that said Prince Hamzah, the half-brother of Jordan’s King Abdullah II, had been detained or placed under house arrest.

Hamzah was warned, however, to cease “movements and activities that are used to target” the security and stability of Jordan. The request was made as part of an investigation by security services, Petra said.

The report said Sharif Hassan bin Zaid, the former royal envoy to Saudi Arabia, and Bassem Ibrahim Awadallah, the former head of the royal court, were detained. Awadallah also previously served as planning minister and finance minister.

The agency did not provide further details or name the others who were arrested.

Jordan informed Israel “the situation is under control” and there was no danger to the stability of the Hashemite kingdom, the Walla news site reported.

The message was relayed by Jordanian officials to their Israeli counterparts, the report said.

Jordan has long been a key Western ally and an island of stability in a turbulent region. It borders Israel, the West Bank, Syria, Iraq and Saudi Arabia.

The Parliamentary Assemblies of the Council of Europe (PACE) and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE PA) should demand an explanation from the Ukrainian leadership over the death of a child in Donbass and give their assessment of the incident, Russian State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin wrote on his Telegram channel on Saturday, calling for discussions about Ukraine’s exclusion from the Council of Europe.

"I think it necessary for the OSCE PA and PACE, which love wasting their breath, to evaluate this and demand explanations from Ukraine’s leadership," Volodin wrote. "The exclusion of that country from the Council of Europe needs discussion," he added.

Volodin pointed out that "there is no stigma attached to the president of the country who sent a combat drone to war against his own people."

"Were Zelensky a true president of his country who was aware of what is going on under his leadership, he would probably think ten times," the speaker of the lower house of Russia’s parliament noted.

According to Volodin, the tragedy occurred "with overseas patrons’ consent and the European states’ tacit approval," since the European Parliament or the US Department of State released no statements, nor European foreign ministers spoke up for it, nor decisions were taken to expel diplomats.

Ex-IDF intel. chief: Israel must continue covert ops in Iran

Maj.-Gen. (ret.) Aharon Ze’evi-Farkash believes that the Biden administration will not rejoin the 2015 nuclear deal before the June Iranian presidential election.

“Don’t worry, we are there in Iran; we will make sure they do not cross the line,” said senior Russian officials during a visit to Israel.

It was during Aharon Ze’evi-Farkash’s 2001-2006 term as chief of IDF Military Intelligence.

Ze’evi-Farkash and the Russian officials were debating how much Israel could trust Moscow to be its last line of defense to make sure that the Islamic Republic did not go nuclear, even as Russia was helping Tehran progress in various nuclear realms.

The retired IDF major-general was not satisfied by the initial reassurance, and responded with a characteristic stinging reply, “You’ll make sure? Just like you made sure that China, India and Pakistan would not go nuclear?” (All three countries obtained nuclear weapons – in 1964, 1974 and 1998, respectively – despite Russian opposition.)

A bit taken aback, but never wanting to back off, the Russian officials said, “No, we will really try because it is not good for anyone for Iran to be nuclear,” citing Iran’s Islamic radicalism and the millions of Muslims living in Russia about whom Moscow always has nightmares.

It is with this skepticism that Ze’evi-Farkash comes to the questions of those who think Tehran can be coaxed out of nuclear weapons or that it will give up the pursuit.

Despite his skepticism that Iran can be prevented from getting nuclear weapons indefinitely, he is strongly in favor of putting off that grim day for as long as possible.

Further, Ze’evi-Farkash believes that the Biden administration will not rejoin the 2015 nuclear deal before the June Iranian presidential election.

“I don’t know if they [the Biden administration] will get a completely new or improved deal. Even though [president Donald] Trump is gone, a deal is far-off for the US. There won’t be a deal before June,” he told The Jerusalem Post Magazine in a recent extensive interview.

The GOP senator from Wisconsin exposes Hunter's connections with China and explains how the Deep State withholds information from Congress.

Hunter Biden's dealings with Chinese nationals, including one who is now a convicted felon, pose an "enormous blackmail" threat to President Biden, a key Republican senator who investigated the matter warns.

Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., the former chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee and current ranking member on the powerful Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, told the John Solomon Reports podcast on Friday that the case of Chinese businessman Patrick Ho chi-Ping illustrates the threat.

Ho, 70, was part of an investment group that worked with Hunter Biden and his business partners after Joe Biden left the vice presidency. Ho was convicted of violating the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act for trying to bribe high-ranking officials in Chad and Uganda, and court records show he was the subject of a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act warrant.

"This investment group, they were hoping to tap for initially $10 million. But these are individuals that had ties right into the Communist Party of China, within the People's Liberation Army. And Patrick Ho was an individual that apparently was subject to a FISA warrant, which means somebody somewhere is suspecting him being a counter-intelligence threat."

"These are the individuals that Hunter Biden is associating himself with, trying to develop an investment firm with. In the end, when Patrick Ho was indicted, the first phone call he made was to James Biden –– I've heard that he was really trying to get ahold of Hunter," Johnson added, citing evidence his investigators reviewed.

"Hunter, in the end, got paid a million dollars to represent Patrick Ho, this individual that, again, the U.S. government issued a FISA warrant done because of the counterintelligence threat that he might have posed. So it just boggled my mind with what we revealed in our report," Johnson said.

A spokesman for the White House and a lawyer for Hunter Biden did not immediately return a call seeking comment Friday.

Johnson also discussed the difficulties of getting information from federal agency bureaucracies, which he said often thwarted his Senate subpoenas and evidence requests.

"But you know, for a while, it was like pulling teeth getting information out of these –– I'll call them 'Deep State' agencies –– under President Trump," Johnson said. "I mean, President Trump, as much as he wanted this stuff made public and and unclassified, still couldn't get it done because they slow-walked our requests, ran out the clock, hoping that President Trump wouldn't get elected, and unfortunately, he was not reelected."

"So now we've got the Biden administration –– [Attorney General] Merrick Garland, [Director of National Intelligence] Avril Haines –– we're writing the letters, we'll make it public. Hopefully, public pressure will prompt them to at least provide us some information," he added. "And of course, we're also looking at the Department of Justice, the district –– the U.S. Attorneys that are apparently investigating Hunter Biden, but again, I'm not holding their breath on that investigation, either."

But Rubio made reference to recent reports that the baseball organization had extended its agreement with Chinese-owned Tencent to stream games into the authoritarian country – which has cracked down on pro-democracy protests. MLB first penned a deal with the tech giant in 2018.

In 2017, MLB announced a 10-year relationship with Chinese state-owned Beijing Enterprises Real-Estate Group Ltd.

The $6 trillion figure does not count the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan that President Biden signed a few weeks ago. The deficit set a record in FY2020 at $3.13 trillion. And the national debt has hit a record $28 trillion.

Maine Independent Sen. Angus King, a member of the Senate Budget Committee who caucuses with the Democrats, said that "we've got a problem" as a country with the rising deficit and national debt, particularly around the interest on the debt.

"I'm concerned about it in terms of generational equity, the long-term implications for your generation and the generation that comes after," King said during a discussion organized by the Millennial Debt Foundation. "And it bothers me from a, sort of, ethical point of view that where my generation is spending the money, spending your money."

According to the Treasury Department, interest payments on the debt totaled $522.7 billion in FY2020 alone.

"It's a cheap time to borrow and some people are using that as a reason to borrow. The problem that comes is our interest rates flow. The U.S. has the ultimate adjustable rate mortgage, which is the rates can change," King said. "And if the rates go back to 4 to 5%, which is where they've been historically, we're in a heap of fiscal trouble. The math is pretty easy. Every 1% is $250 billion a year of interest costs. So 4% is $1 trillion dollars; 5% is $1,250,000,000,000, which happens to be the entire current discretionary federal budget."

Minnesota Democratic Rep. Dean Phillips shared King's concerns about the billions of dollars, per day, that the U.S. is spending on the debt's interest costs alone.

Massive Facebook Hack – 533 Million Users Compromised Including 32 Million Americans, Facebook IDs, Names, Phone Numbers, Birthdates, Email Addresses

An absolute goldmine for identity thieves was released to the web by a hack into the Facebook database. Business Insider is reporting the personal information from 533 million Facebook users was hacked including: 32+ million records on U.S. with their “phone numbers, Facebook IDs, full names, locations, birthdates, bios, & email addresses.”

Do not be surprised if the data removed ultimately attributes to a particular political and social grouping of users that Facebook identified and categorized. There is a very reasonable suspicion the release of the information could be ideologically targeted.

(Via Business Insider) – A user in a low level hacking forum has published the phone numbers and personal data of hundreds of millions of Facebook users for free online.

The exposed data includes personal information of over 533 million Facebook users from 106 countries, including over 32 million records on users in the US, 11 million on users in the UK, and 6 million on users in India. It includes their phone numbers, Facebook IDs, full names, locations, birthdates, bios, and — in some cases — email addresses.

[…] “A database of that size containing the private information such as phone numbers of a lot of Facebook’s users would certainly lead to bad actors taking advantage of the data to perform social engineering attacks [or] hacking attempts,” Gal told Insider.

Facebook did not immediately respond to multiple requests for comment.

Gal first discovered the leaked data in January when a user in the same hacking forum advertised an automated bot that could provide phone numbers for hundreds of millions of Facebook users in exchange for a price. Motherboard reported on that bot’s existence at the time and verified that the data was legitimate.

Now, the entire dataset has been posted on the hacking forum for free, making it widely available to anyone with rudimentary data skills. (read more)

Senators Request Big Corps to Reveal Details on Foreign and Domestic Buyers of User Data

A bipartisan group of senators is questioning eight major U.S. corporations about the transmission of American user data to foreign bidders, used for digital advertising in the majority of cases.

“We write to seek information about your company’s sharing of Americans’ personal data in order to understand how that information may be obtained and exploited by foreign governments to the detriment of our national security,” the letter (pdf) reads.

It was sent on Thursday by Senator Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) to the companies, seeking information specifically about the “real-time bidding” process, which refers to the milliseconds before ads are shown to people on their electronic devices when hundreds of companies participate in an auction for their advertisement to be displayed.

“Few Americans realize that some auction participants are siphoning off and storing ‘bidstream’ data to compile exhaustive dossiers about them. In turn, these dossiers are being openly sold to anyone with a credit card, including to hedge funds, political campaigns, and even to governments,” the letter continues.

The other Senators who signed the letter are Bill Cassidy, (R-La.), Kirsten Gillibrand, (D-N.Y.), Mark Warner, (D-Va.), Sherrod Brown, (D-Ohio), and Elizabeth Warren, (D-Mass).

“Over the past year, multiple reports have indicated that a number of federal agencies have purchased personal data derived from mobile apps and other online services, in ways that potentially merit closer scrutiny. But the United States is not the only government with the means and interest in acquiring Americans’ personal data. This information would be a goldmine for foreign intelligence services that could exploit it to inform and supercharge hacking, blackmail, and influence campaigns.”

The eight companies that are being addressed are: AT&T, Google, Twitter, Verizon, Index Exchange, Magnite, OpenX, and PubMatic.

They then request certain specific information about the auction participants, foreign and domestic.

Gov. Reynolds Signs Bill Into Law Letting Residents Buy, Carry Guns Without Permits

Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds signed legislation into law on Friday lifting some restrictions to buy or carry a handgun in the state for law-abiding citizens.

The NRA-backed legislation named “House File 756” will take effect on July 1 and eliminates the requirement for law-abiding Iowans to obtain a permit to purchase a handgun from private non-licensed sources. Additionally, to carry a weapon, people will no longer need to have a permit as well.

Individuals will still have to follow federal law and go through an instant background check to buy from licensed sellers each time they purchase a gun.

People who fail to commit to the new law will be charged with a Class D felony, which is punishable by up to five years in prison. It will become a felony if a person sells, rents, or loans a firearm to someone the seller “knows or reasonably should know” isn’t legally allowed to get a gun or is intoxicated.

“Today I signed legislation that protects the 2nd Amendment rights of Iowa’s law-abiding citizens while still preventing the sale of firearms to criminals and other dangerous individuals,” Reynolds said in a statement after signing the bill.

“This law also takes greater steps to inform law enforcement about an individual’s mental illness helping ensure firearms don’t end up in the wrong hands,” she added. “We will never be able to outlaw or prevent every single bad actor from getting a gun, but what we can do is ensure law-abiding citizens have full access to their constitutional rights while keeping Iowans safe.”

The new law has been supported by the National Rifle Association (NRA), which applauded the governor for signing the bill allowing law-abiding adults to carry a concealed firearm without first asking the government’s permission for a permit.

On March 22, House File 756 passed 60–37, with all Republicans voting for it, along with Democrat state Rep. Wes Breckenridge. Republicans have a majority in the Senate and previously passed a similar piece of legislation through a committee.

Iowa now becomes one of 19 states in the U.S. that no longer requires law-abiding citizens to get a permit before carrying a gun for self-defense.

The 18 other states that eliminated this requirement are: Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Idaho, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Utah, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wyoming.

Democrats have opposed the bill, saying the reversal is dangerous and a “reckless disregard for the safety and well-being of Iowans.”

Report: Facebook Workers Are Concerned About Running Chinese Propaganda Ads

Facebook staffers are reportedly expressing their concerns on internal message boards over Chinese government ads on the social media platform, which promote a message that China’s Muslim minorities in the nation’s Xinjiang region are happy and thriving.

Facebook staffers have internally expressed their concerns about the company being used as a conduit for Chinese Communist Party propaganda, according to a report by the Wall Street Journal.

While Facebook is blocked in China, Beijing uses the platform to spread its political views to hundreds of millions of people in other nations through advertisements.

Sources who spoke to the Wall Street Journal said Facebook hasn’t decided whether to act in response to staff’s concerns, and is watching to see how international organizations — like the United Nations — react to the situation in Xinjiang.

A Facebook spokesman said Beijing’s ads regarding Xinjiang don’t violate the social media giant’s policies, as long as advertisers follow the company’s rules when buying them. The spokesman added that Facebook is monitoring reports of the situation in Xinjiang “to help inform our approach and due diligence on this issue.”

The advertisements and posts in question involve videos of people in Xinjiang — including some children — saying to the camera that their lives are improving and that Western nations are plotting to try to destabilize China.

The report added that a Facebook employee had posted in the company’s internal chat for Muslim staff, pointing out that the U.S. government had declared Beijing’s treatment of Uyghurs a genocide.

“It’s time our platform takes action to fight misinformation on the Uighur genocide,” the Facebook employee wrote in the post, obtained by the Wall Street Journal.

The staffer described the post as a “plea to our leadership,” and tagged Chris Cox, Facebook’s chief product officer, and a top lieutenant to Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg.

Cox responded by saying that he would “circle back.”

“Thanks for looping me in,” Cox replied. “This is incredibly serious. Let me check with our integrity teams for a status update and circle back personally or with the right POC [point of contact].”

China Is Asking the WHO to Hire Them to Build an International System to Maintain Flyer Data Regarding Vaccines for Cross Border Travel

Out of the kindness of their heart, China has volunteered to the World Health Organization (WHO) that they would be happy to build a system used worldwide to track travelers who have been vaccinated with the COVID-19 vaccine.

According to USAA News, China has offered to complete a system to track travelers who have received the COVID-19 vaccine:

China launched a new domestic travel policy allowing more freedom to people who have received the vaccine. Now, Beijing wants the WHO’s approval to launch a global vaccine certification system for international travel because it can “help by sharing its experience with and provide technical support.”

China believes it is “the most experienced country in using a health code system in the world.”

Speaking to Aljazeera, a spokesperson for the Chinese foreign ministry said that a system would “help promote world economic recovery and facilitate cross-border travel.”

“In terms of technology, I believe that Chinese companies can build an international platform in just one week, but it is better that the WHO, rather than any country or regional organization, be the organizer to ensure the independence, fairness and data security of the platform,” the Director General of Information Consumption Alliance, Xiang Ligang, told the Global Times, a state-run news outlet.

But the WHO is not welcoming the idea. Besides, very few countries would accept a system created by China – for several reasons, including the country’s bad record with transparency and the fact that it is the country where the outbreak started.

Of course, this is a horrible idea. Give the country that let loose this COVID-19 bioweapon information on all travelers worldwide and personal information on all of them. No need for privacy or individual freedom in this scenario. Also, would those who are outspoken against China be treated the same as those who aren’t?

Students At Florida High School Warned They Will Be "Re-Educated" If Caught Not Wearing A Mask

Students at Clearwater High School in Florida have been warned that they will be “re-educated” on the importance of wearing a mask if they are seen on school premises not wearing a face covering.

An advisory posted on the school’s website regarding face mask policy tells students, teachers, staff and any visitors that masks are mandatory on all school property as well as on school buses.

The section on “noncompliance” then spells out the punishment for anyone caught flouting the rules.

“The wearing of a face covering is a public health issue. Students who do not wear a mask when it is required (or refuse to do so), should first be reeducated on the importance of wearing a mask,” states the advisory.

“If after reeducation occurs, they still do not comply, the student’s administrator should be contacted,” it adds, outlining that parents will also be contacted and the student will be forced to switch to online learning if non-compliance continues.

The mask rule remains in place despite Florida Governor Ron DeSantis never issuing a statewide mask mandate and Florida being one of the states that has tried to keep COVID-19 lockdown restrictions to a minimum.

The term “re-education” is normally used in the context of involuntary political indoctrination and was a concept embraced by historical Communist dictatorships.

In its modern parlance, the term is applied to dissidents in authoritarian states such as North Korea and China, where political prisoners and minority groups are “re-educated” out of their anti-state beliefs through forced labor and indoctrination while imprisoned in “re-education camps.”

Leftists and authoritarians have repeatedly suggested that so-called “anti-vaxxers” and people who refuse to wear masks should be arrested and “re-educated” in government facilities.

Amazon apologises for denying US employees sometimes need to pee in bottles

Amazon has apologised for denying that the internet shopping giant's drivers are sometimes forced to urinate in bottles during their delivery rounds.

The admission came a week after the US congressman Mark Pocan criticised Amazon's working conditions, saying in a tweet: "Paying workers $15/hr doesn't make you a 'progressive workplace' when you union-bust & make workers urinate in water bottles."

Amazon initially issued a denial, saying in a tweet: "You don't really believe the peeing in bottles thing, do you? If that were true, nobody would work for us."

But it subsequently walked back those comments.

"This was an own goal, we're unhappy about it, and we owe an apology to Representative Pocan," Amazon said in the statement, adding that its previous response only referred to staff at its warehouses or fulfilment centres.

The company said the issue was industry-wide and it would look for solutions.

Amazon's apology comes at a time when workers at an Alabama warehouse are waiting for a vote count that could result in the online retailer's first unionised facility in the US and mark a watershed moment for organised labour.

Amazon has long discouraged attempts among its more than 800,000 US employees to organise.

Allegations by many workers of a gruelling or unsafe workplace have turned unionising the company into a key goal for the US labour movement.

US Judge Orders Alleged Leader of “Group America” to Stay in Jail

The alleged leader of a criminal clan known as Group America who was arrested at the end of February in New York will remain in custody after a U.S. judge refused to set bail for him citing flight risk.

A transcript of the hearing obtained by Serbian investigative outlet KRIK on Friday shows that Magistrate Judge Robert M. Levy for the Eastern District of New York ordered Mileta Miljanić to stay in jail because of his history of evading justice.

Miljanić was in 2010 sentenced in Italy to six years in jail for trafficking cocaine. In 2014 he was granted work release but absconded from the program and fled to the U.S.

The FBI arrested Miljanić in his home in New York during a search of his apartment on February 23, when officers found a gun in the drawer of his nightstand.

He is suspected of being involved in wire fraud, honest service fraud, conspiracy to commit those crimes and of racketeering conspiracy.

But OCCRP, KRIK and Czech news outlet Investigace.cz followed the decades-old criminal organization with roots in New York and the Balkans for years and found that Group America operates in dozens of countries and is believed to have been supplying Europe with tons of cocaine from South America.

Coup D’Etat Prevented In Jordan. Royal Family Members Reportedly Arrested

Attempted coup d’etat was prevented in Jordan. A number of high-ranking officials were arrested.

According to the American Washington Post about 20 people were arrested, including members of the royal family. According to some sources, the brother of the current king, Prince Hamza bin Hussein, was detained and placed under house arrest. Queen Mother Nur al-Hussein was arrested along with him. Some sources claim that among the detainees, there was also Yasser Suleiman, the head of the office of the king’s brother.

Jordanian news agency Petra claimed the detention of the former head of the royal administration, Basem Awadallah, and a member of the royal family, Prince Hassan bin Zayed. Among the detainees are also officers of the royal guard, tribal leaders, officials of the royal administration and others.

Later, Jordanian news agency Petra denied reports that the king’s brother was arrested, but it confirmed that there was a coup attempt.

Security measures have been stepped up in Amman.

Jordanian intelligence conducted a special operation, figuring out a group who were planning to carry out a palace coup and overthrow King Abdullah II.

The members of these plot reportedly had connections abroad. This information raises suggestions that this is not just an internal conflict or family showdown. In this context, some sources report that Bassem Awadallah, one of the detainees, is CEO of Dubai-based Emirati Tomoh Advisory and also served on the board of directors of one of the largest conglomerates Al-Baraka Group in Bahrain.

This plot in Jordan royal family and attempt of coup may be linked with the current shift in the balance of power in the Middle East and especially on-going trend of normalization of relationships between Israel and Arab countries.

Mali: Four UN Peacekeepers, Two Soldiers Killed In Two Separate Attacks

On April 2, four UN peacekeepers, two Malian soldiers were killed and several others were injured in two separate terrorist attacks in Mali.

The peacekeepers were killed in a large attack by gunmen on base of the UN Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) in the eastern area of Kidal. According to a statement by the MINUSMA, the gunmen, who are yet to be identified, were heavily armed.

“Heavily armed terrorists carried out an attack in which four peacekeepers died and several others were wounded in Aguelhok in the Tessalit circle, Kidal region,” the statement reads.

According to MINUSMA force commander, Lt. Gen. Dennis Gyllensporre, several attackers were killed or wounded. Other were captured by peacekeepers, who also seized several vehicles and quantities of weapons.

Cherif Mahamat Zene, Chad’s minister of communication, revealed that the four victims of the attack were all Chadian service members.

A separate attack in the central region of Mopti targeted a post of the Malian military. The army said that two soldiers were killed and ten others were injured. The perpetrators of the attack were not identified.

The situation in Mali is still far from being stable. The 2013 French-led intervention and the UN mission have failed to end the insurgence in the country. Several terrorist groups, including ISIS, are still active there.

New York City Council Passes Police Reforms That Includes Ending Qualified Immunity For NYPD Officers

Qualified immunity is pure judicial cancer. This fact cannot be ignored. What began as a limited defense for decisions made in the heat of the moment has become the de facto response to civil rights lawsuits. The Supreme Court which conjured this new Section 1983 ejection seat out of thin air has only made it worse over the past few decades.

Qualified immunity is more bulletproof than the Kevlar vests worn by those who summon its protections most frequently. Efforts have been made to dial this back, but so far, we've yet to see them come to fruition.

Attempts to remove qualified immunity have faced massive amounts of opposition from some of the most powerful entities in the United States: law enforcement agencies and their unions. Despite this, efforts continue to be made to rein in something that has pretty much become a permission slip for rights violations.

The good news (via MagentaRocks) is that one ongoing effort to end immunity targets the largest law enforcement agency in the nation: the New York City Police Department. This package of reforms offers up some other useful changes, like requiring NYPD officers to live in the city and mandating quarterly reports on vehicle stops, broken down by ethnicity, race, and age. It also would strip the police commissioner of final say on cases recommended for discipline by the Civilian Complaint Review Board. This would prevent CCRB recommendations from being overturned by the NYPD, something that has happened with alarming frequency in the past.

But here's the big news: the end of qualified immunity for NYPD officers.

The council’s legislation gives “a local right of security against unreasonable search and seizure,” in addition to excessive force.

Of course, this would be limited to cases handled solely by New York City courts. Federal civil rights lawsuits wouldn't be affected by this removal. Nor would cases handled by state courts. So, it will only affect a small number of lawsuits pursued entirely within the city's court system.

Since city lawmakers are limited to crafting laws that affect the city, this is the best they can do. It's better than doing nothing and it will help, even if it's severely limited. And the bill still needs to be signed by Mayor Bill de Blasio, who has offered his support for some police reforms, but hasn't exactly shown he's willing to take on the NYPD during his tenure in office.

It's a very small (but positive) change. But as small as it is, it's not small enough to keep the city's law enforcement unions from complaining about it.

The city’s police unions have vocally opposed the bill, saying ending qualified immunity could have a chilling effect on officer’s willingness to insert themselves into complex and dangerous situations to enforce the law.

I don't think that's true. Good officers will still insert themselves into these situations. Officers who like to play fast and loose with rights and civil liberties may choose to sit some of these situations out. Qualified immunity hasn't given us better, smarter cops. It has encouraged abusive behavior by giving officers a litigation escape hatch – one that's rarely denied by courts.
