I visited the Biltmore recently. To get to the "pool" you have to go through a long hallway lined with a number of small rooms. The guide called them changing rooms. But they look more like sealed holding cells, with large windows and locks on the outside.
The other end of the hallway connects to the "Halloween" room, which has strange art painted on the walls and at least one pedo spiral. Spirals can also be seen in some of the fireplace grates around the house.
