I wanna kill Barney the Fucking Purple Dinosaur – Back in the middle ages when Wolfenstein 3D was the ultimate computer game, there was an awesome Kill Barney sound effect file that I saved on my computer. Prolly still have it on a hard disk somewhere but I'm not gonna look for it. Everything is forever on the Internet, right? Maybe but I can't find that file. It was hilariously funny with every gun from Wolfenstein 3D combined for an overkill of Barney Fucking Dino. There was another one with Doom gun sounds and the embedded video might be it.
This board is for research, yeah, but does nostalgia count as research? Kek, sure it does. I've invested two hours trying to find that lost audio file on the Internet. It sure as fuck should be out there somewhere. Maybe an anon has it? Anyway, everything leads to a rabbit hole, is that right? Apparently, one of the actors who played the Purple Fuck turned out to be kinky. Not something I feel like digging into but maybe somebody has a clue?
The TV show started in 1992 and it seems that people were split between loving it and hating it. God, I fucking despise that stupid song! Wikipedia has a page on Barney Hate but I don't think they really covered the full extent of it. The show's producers filed some lawsuits to try to stop the Barney Hate. The show finally got cancelled in 2009. How the fuck did it last that long?
