Alan Jones: “Leader of the Free World is incoherent, having to be propped up physically and intellectually… After the stumble, the websites of MSNBC, CBS News, the Washington Post, Lost Angeles Times and the New York Times all had no mention of Biden’s stumbling incident,” Mr Jones said. “To prove the Trump point, when it came to airtime on television, CNN devoted 15 seconds to the incident”. “But when Trump walked slowly down a ramp after he delivered a graduation address last June, CNN devoted 22 minutes to Trump’s walk, the media pushing the line that Trump – 74 – was facing serious health question.”

It really is a statement to the deplorable bias in the American fake news that an Aussie reporter has to school them on their lies and deceit.

Twitter suspended Greene shortly after she tweeted her Easter message.

No specific reason was given for the suspension.

Update: Democrats in Arizona Are Now Attacking the Auditors Selected by Arizona’s Senate to Audit the 2020 Election Results in Maricopa County

The really disgusting tactic of disparaging and attacking anyone who wants to perform an audit of Maricopa County’s 2020 Presidential election results continues.

After months of delays and distractions, the Arizona Senate finally is able to audit the results of the 2020 Presidential Election in Maricopa County. Once the Senate’s audit team was announced last week, the Board of Supervisors of Maricopa County held an emergency meeting behind closed doors. The only known result of that meeting was that the Board of Supervisors won’t allow the audit to be performed in the Tabulation Center where the ballots from the 2020 election are currently housed.

Now the media is back at it, attacking anyone involved in the audit. Big Media has attacked the Arizona Senate for months and now they are attacking the auditors selected by the Senate for the upcoming audit. Not once did the Big Media report on the fact the auditors selected by Maricopa County to perform audits were not certified as claimed by the Board of Supervisors:

The head of a Florida-based technology company who has used social media to promote a range of unfounded election fraud claims and was involved with a previous effort to overturn election results in Michigan has been hired by the Arizona Senate to oversee the recount of Maricopa County’s 2.1 million general election ballots.

The company, called Cyber Ninjas, will lead a team that includes three other firms as part of the $150,000 contract the Senate has awarded to conduct an unprecedented audit of the county’s election results.

Arizona Central, which has consistently sided with the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, created their hit piece based on their opinions rather than facts. This never happened when this paper reported on the unprofessional auditors used by the County.

Someone needs to tell our media across the country that Americans value and demand that elections be free and fair. Americans don’t support people who steal elections or who support people who steal elections. Americans value the truth not lies.

Armed Gunmen Appear at Georgia Capitol on Monday – But It’s Ok – They’re with Black Lives Matter

The Big Media is quick to label the events that occurred in Washington D.C. on January 6th as an armed insurrection, when it was not. But when BLM members bring AK 47’s to the Georgia Capitol, there’s no mention of guns.

The Big Media reported for months that the Capitol protests in Washington, D.C. on January 6th, included armed protesters but to date, there is no evidence of anyone being armed besides the Capitol Police there that day:

However, on March 25, a Georgia politician was arrested and taken out of a press conference where the Georgia Governor was announcing Georgia’s new law protecting voter integrity in the state.

The Democrat was not to be deterred. A couple of days later, she reappeared at the Georgia Capitol but this time she brought along armed friends. For some reason, the media never reported that her friends were armed at the Georgia Capitol.

Georgia State Representative Park Cannon returned to the State Capitol on Monday following an arrest on May 25, 2021, for making a scene banging on the door to the office where Governor Brian Kemp was signing the election security bill. How that works out is of little interest to me personally. She is not my state representative and legislators who pull stunts to make themselves the story rather than their accomplishments annoy me.

She claimed that she should be able to watch Kemp sign the bill along with the activists who accompanied her. Cannon could have done that by pulling out her phone and watching on YouTube. She claimed she was arrested for fighting voter suppression when she was actually arrested for refusing to follow the police’s instructions and stomping on one officer’s foot repeatedly. That’s conduct unbecoming her position, in my humble opinion.

Most people have stored little or none. So when they receive money, they quickly purchase necessities; food, shelter, health care.

One share of Google stores 70 hours of work for the average American, or 2 hours of copying-and-pasting formation documents for the average hedge fund attorney.

As the gulf between people’s income has grown, the amount of stored time has accumulated in fewer hands.

“Wealthy people convert their hours into financial assets so that they can accumulate excess hours relative to their fellow man. But the average worker is simply thinking how to exchange hours for dollars and then exchange those for food.”

Central banks face a different problem altogether.

They need to get people who’ve saved time to exchange it for something other than clever inventions that store it.

They’ve largely failed.

Jordanian FM confirms accusations against ex-Crown Prince Hamzah, alleges foreign government involvement

Prince Hamzah bin Hussein of Jordan has been officially accused of plotting to undermine the country’s “security and stability.” Foreign parties participated in the plot, the Jordanian foreign minister claimed.

Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi held a brief press conference on Sunday to confirm the arrest on Saturday of Prince Hamzah, among around 16 others. The royal scion held the position of crown prince under his half-brother King Abdullah II before the monarch revoked the title in 2004, making his son Hussein the new heir-apparent.

The foreign minister confirmed that Prince Hamzah and others were arrested for allegedly plotting with outside forces against the royal family. The statement did not specify what the exact goal of the prince’s allegedly seditious activities was, stopping just short of accusing him of an attempt to overthrow the king.

Jordanian authorities have long monitored the plot’s development and arrested the suspects after it progressed from the planning stage to the scheduling of concrete action, the official said. Few details were revealed, but Safadi said a foreign intelligence service communicated with Hamzah’s wife, offering the family a plane ride out of Jordan. The official didn’t name the country which is suspected of being involved in the plot.

The royal Hashemite dynasty intends to resolve the situation internally in accordance with the law and guided by mercy, the minister said.

On Sunday, Queen Noor, the mother of Prince Hamzah, called the accused individuals “innocent victims of… wicked slander” and expressed hope that justice will prevail.

Over 20 detained as police use rubber bullets & tear gas to quell riot in Switzerland

Police used rubber bullets against rioters who hurled bottles and Molotov cocktails in the northeastern Swiss city of St. Gallen on Saturday. More than 30 people were temporarily banned from entering the city.

The riot broke out after around 1,000 young people gathered at the Roter Platz square in the city center. The agitated crowd attacked police and ambulance crews, hurling bottles, firecrackers, and pavement stones. The officers responded by launching volleys of tear gas and firing rubber bullets.

Police said the rioters smashed a bus stop, started fires, and threw a Molotov cocktail at the officers. St. Gallen Police Chief Ralph Hurni told reporters that two people were injured and 21 were detained. He added that 33 people who came from other cities were temporarily banned from returning to St. Gallen.

The city’s top security official, Sonja Luthi, condemned the violence “in the strongest possible way,” adding that police acted appropriately. St. Gallen Mayor Maria Pappa said that attacks on police officers were “completely wrong,” and that the zero-tolerance policy against rioting will continue.

We have previously discussed the controversial history of Marc Elias, including allegations that he lied about the funding of Steele Dossier by the Clinton campaign. Elias has also been criticized for challenging elections when he and other Democratic lawyers denounced Republican challenges as a threat to democracy. Now, Elias (who is heading a new group called “Democracy Docket”) is again under intense criticism after a tweet that some have called inherently racist.

Democrats have used the recent Georgia election law as a rallying cry for federalizing elections by labelling the law, as described by President Biden, “Jim Crow on steroids.” Biden has been repeatedly called out for demonstrably false statements about the law. Elias has been arguing that the law is a barrier for black and minority voters. He is being denounced for a tweet where he suggested that Georgia voters could not be expected to be able to read their driver’s licenses correctly — a statement that seemed to refer to minority voters who would be disproportionately impacted by such a requirement.

Elias tries to explain by the new law is such a barrier to voting by noting that “The new Georgia law will require voters to submit ID to vote by mail. If they use their driver’s license, they need to provide the #. One of the two numbers below is correct. If they put the other, it will be rejected.”

He then includes an image of a Georgia driver’s license with two separate numbers highlights and asks “Are you sure you would pick the right one?”

Mark Zuckerberg's phone number included in huge Facebook user leak

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg was reportedly among those affected in a mass data leak that revealed users’ phone numbers.

It was reported on Saturday that a huge stolen database of 533 million Facebook users had been leaked for free online, with the data having previously circulated on criminal marketplaces.

The leak affects users from around the world and includes names, phone numbers, dates of birth, email addresses, and marital statuses – and in an ironic twist, it appears that Zuckerberg is among those affected.

Cybersecurity researcher Dave Walker pointed out on Saturday evening that Zuckerberg's personal phone number was now public due to the leak and joked, “If journalists are struggling to get a statement from @facebook, maybe just give him a call, from the tel in the leak?”

According to the Daily Mail, Zuckerberg's fellow Facebook co-founders Chris Hughes and Dustin Moskovitz also had their personal information leaked.

Facebook has attempted to downplay the incident, noting that the data came from an old security breach – though it's the first time that the information from the leak has been made free to the public after it was posted on a hacking forum this week.

American ex-governor says he now identifies as ‘Chinese’ so he can get free stuff, leading to accusations of fueling hate

Mike Huckabee has been accused by many of fueling anti-Asian hatred with a tweet that mocks identity politics, saying the former governor now identifies as Chinese to get free stuff.

“I’ve decided to ‘identify’ as Chinese. Coke will like me, Delta will agree with my ‘values’ and I’ll probably get shoes from Nike & tickets to @MLB games. Ain’t America great?” Huckabee, the former governor of Arkansas and now a long-running television host, tweeted over the weekend.

Huckabee’s tweet appears to be a hit at identity politics connecting two separate issues that have gotten the attention of major corporations. Coke, Delta, and Major League Baseball have also protested Georgia’s controversial new voting law, with the MLB even moving their much-anticipated All Star Game out of Atlanta in light of the new measure passing.

Democrats have slammed the new law, which adds an identification requirement for absentee ballots and limits certain aspects of voting, like ballot drop boxes, as discriminatory, but Republicans have defended it as necessary to ensure election integrity.

Companies such as Nike have also been releasing ads speaking out against anti-Asian hate, as well as donating money to various groups, following a recent study that claimed there was a 150% increase in hate crimes against Asian Americans last year, which many liberals say was spurred on by reports of the Covid-19 pandemic originating in Wuhan, China, as well as former President Donald Trump referring to the virus as “the China virus” and “kung flu.”

Iran Says No "Direct Or Indirect" Talks With US In High-States Vienna Nuclear Talks

Just a day ahead of Tuesday's much anticipated meeting among signatories to the 2015 JCPOA nuclear deal in Vienna, Iran is attempting to put some distance between itself and earlier widespread reporting that it will hold talks with the United States.

Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Abbas Araghchi told a state media outlet Sunday "We will not have any direct or indirect talks with the United States in Vienna."

Essentially this is the Iranian side emphasizing that US negotiators won't be allowed in the same room and the talks among the UK, France, Germany, Iran, Russia and China proceed. The American delegation will - perhaps somewhat humiliatingly in terms of the optics - be confined to the kids table, apparently.

As some officials are describing, it will be "some town but not same room":

The European parties to the accord said they would have "separate" contacts in Vienna with the United States and Iran, which has already rejected a direct meeting with the US, with a European diplomat telling Reuters news agency that, "Iran and the US will be in the same town, but not the same room."

Particularly the European JCPOA signatories present are expected to act as intermediaries communicating messages to the US team.

The Iranian official, however, did offer a scenario in which there could be more direct dealings:

"In our opinion, there is only one step. All of the US sanctions which were reimposed after [President Donald] Trump’s withdrawal from the JCPOA, or which have been imposed recently, or have been relabelled, must be defined and the United States must remove them, then we will verify and return to our commitments," Araghchi said.

Immediate sanctions relief has long been the chief Iranian demand, something which so far the Biden administration has not budged on, despite multiple promises on the campaign trail of a speedy return to the nuclear deal brokered by Obama and later in 2018 broken by Trump.

In a Friday statement, US State Dept. spokesman Ned Price indicated Washington remains "open" to more direct dealings.

"These remain early days, and we don’t anticipate an immediate breakthrough as there will be difficult discussions ahead. But we believe this is a healthy step forward," Price began.

"We do not anticipate presently that there will be direct talks between the United States and Iran through this process, though the United States remains open to them," he added on a more cautious note.

Hunter Biden opens up about relationship with brother’s widow Hallie

Hunter Biden on Sunday tried to explain why he dated his dead brother’s widow — but said he could understand why “people were confused” by the eyebrow-raising romance.

The president’s son discussed the reaction to revelations he was dating his brother Beau Biden’s widow, Hallie Biden, in March 2017.

“I think people were confused by it and I understand that. I really do,” he said in a sitdown with CBS’s “Sunday Morning.”

“To me, it’s not something that is difficult to explain because it came out of a real overwhelming grief that we both shared and we were together and trying to do the right thing. And that grief turned into a hope for a love that maybe could replace what we lost and it didn’t work,” he continued.

Hunter — who was still married to his estranged wife Kathleen at the time — said he and Hallie were “incredibly lucky” that their family supported the unusual liaison after Beau died of cancer in May 2015.

But others were not so understanding. Hunter revealed that he lost clients and business during that time.

“I made a lot of decisions that I probably shouldn’t have made,” said Hunter, who has long struggled with addiction and also revealed that he had searched through rugs for anything that resembled crack cocaine.

“There was a lot more compassion and understanding for the people that knew me, but it was a horrible time.”

Hunter and Hallie later split that same year.

He has since remarried a South African woman named Melissa Cohen just a week after they met.

Hunter made the appearance on the morning news program Sunday to promote his new memoir, “Beautiful Things,” out April 6.

Canada's 'alarming' third COVID-19 wave is 'killing faster and younger' as provinces enact new lockdowns, restrictions

Nearly half of Ontario's coronavirus patients are under the age of 60

Canada's third COVID-19 wave is reportedly "killing faster and younger," according to reports, and is fueled by new coronavirus variants.

According to a Sunday report from Insider, the country's third wave is affecting young people more severely than ever before, and health experts believe it's because of emerging strains of COVID-19 mutations.

The burgeoning wave is prompting new lockdowns and coronavirus restrictions across the country.

What are the details?

On Saturday, Canada surpassed 1 million confirmed COVID-19 cases, and hard-hit areas such as British Columbia, Ontario, and Quebec are implementing new restrictions to mitigate the spread of the deadly virus.

Dr. Theresa Tam, the country's chief public health officer, recently announced a 64 percent increase in COVID-19 cases involving new coronavirus variants, 90 percent of which include the B.1.1.7 and P1 variants.

"Ontario in particular has reported an influx of much younger patients in ICUs," the outlet added. "Nearly half of the provinces's COVID-19 ICU patients are under the age of 60, officials announced this week."

This week, Adalsteinn Brown, senior science adviser to Ontario's government, announced that the variants are "killing faster and younger."

"It's spreading far more quickly than it was before and we cannot vaccinate quickly enough to break this third wave," Brown revealed.

Ontario, according to Insider, has enacted a month-long "emergency brake" in response to the rising infections.

"The new restrictions will shut down gyms, indoor dining, and personal care services," the outlet reported.

For its part, Quebec implemented a lockdown in at least three cities, and has shuttered all schools and non-essential businesses, and British Columbia has placed a temporary ban on indoor dining, church services, and more.

Dr. Kashif Pirzada, an emergency services physician in Toronto, told CNN that the spread is nothing short of alarming.

"It's spreading quickly, and it's much faster than in the last two waves," Pirzada explained. "The people filling the ICU right now are all in their 30s, 40s, and 50s."

According to a Sunday report from CBC News, the federal government administered 6 million COVID-19 vaccines at the time of this reporting.

Procurement Minister Anita Ananda told CBC on Friday, "We're expecting millions and millions more doses over the next weeks and months," and said that at least 44 million vaccine doses are expected to arrive by June's end.

In comparison, the outlet reported, the United states administered at least 161,688,422 COVID-19 vaccine doses as of Saturday morning.

Artur Pawlowski, the Lead Pastor at Street Church and Cave of Adullam in Calgary, Alberta, who originally immigrated from Knurów, Poland, angrily forced police officers out of his church when they came to “intimidate” him and his congregants into calling off their Passover service.

“Please get out. Get out of this property immediately. Get out. Get out of this property immediately. I don’t want to hear anything, get out of this property immediately. I don’t want to hear anything,” said Pawlowski, as police attempted to speak to him. “Out, out, out of this property immediately until you come back with a warrant. OUT, OUT, OUT, OUT! Hunter Biden says taking a seat on Burisma board was no ‘mistake’

Hunter Biden on Sunday insisted it was not a “mistake” to take a lucrative seat on the board of a Ukrainian energy company while his father was overseeing US policy to battle corruption in the country.

In the tearful interview on “CBS Sunday Morning,” the president’s son also claimed he couldn’t “remember” leaving a laptop at a Delaware repair shop — which became the center of a Post expose about his dealings with with the natural energy firm Burisma — and also insisted he would be “100 percent” cleared by a federal probe into his finances.

“I don’t think I made a mistake in taking a spot on that board. I think I made a mistake in terms of underestimating the way it would be used against me,” he said of the $50,000-a-month gig that raised eyebrows and ignited a political firestorm because his dad, President Biden, was serving as vice president in the Obama administration at the time.

Asked by host Tracy Smith if he at least understood the bad “optics” of being on the company’s board, the son said he did not.

“Because I really didn’t. I’m being as honest as I possibly can. All I know is not one investigative body, not one serious journalist has ever accused has ever come to the conclusion that I did anything wrong, that my father did anything wrong,” he responded in the interview to promote his memoir, “Beautiful Things,” which will be released Tuesday.

The Post last October revealed that Hunter introduced his father to a top executive at Burisma, a Ukrainian natural gas company that had been investigated for corruption.The revelations were contained in a series of emails found on a MacBook pro laptop that Hunter dropped off at a Wilmington, Del., computer repair company in April 2019 but forgot to pick up.

Hunter admitted that there “certainly” could be a laptop out there — but he couldn’t recall if he dropped off the one that included the emails at the shop.

“Not that I remember at all,” he said.

“Certainly, there could be a laptop out there that was stolen from me, that could be that I was hacked, it could be that it was Russian intelligence, it could be that it was stolen from me,” Hunter said.

Hunter’s work at Burisma has come under intense scrutiny by Congress and by federal prosecutors, who are investigating his “tax affairs” while sitting on the board.

He acknowledged the probe into his finances but predicted that he would be cleared in the long run.

“I’m cooperating completely. And I am absolutely certain, 100 percent certain, that at the end of the investigation, that I will be cleared of any wrongdoing,” Hunter said.

“You’re 100 percent certain you’ll be cleared?” Smith asked.

“I’m 100 percent certain of it. And all I can do is cooperate, and trust in the process,” he added.

In the interview, Hunter also addressed his years of drug and alcohol addiction, how that affected the relationship between him and his father, and the relationship he had with Hallie Biden, the widow of his late brother Beau.

At one point he recalled that after falling off the wagon following a stint in rehab he found himself scrounging carpets where he woke up looking for something to smoke.

Police Show up at London Church on Easter Sunday, After Shutting Down Good Friday Mass

Parishioners have accused London police of trying to find lockdown rule-breaking during an Easter Sunday service to justify having shut down a Good Friday mass at a Polish church.

The Christ the King Polish Roman Catholic Church in Balham, Wandsworth, south London, came to prominence over the weekend after several police officers raided the place of worship on one of the holiest days in the Christian calendar, alleging that the gathering was “unlawful”, threatening the faithful with £200 fines if they did not leave.

The church has demanded an apology from London’s Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) and maintains that churchgoers had kept proper social distancing and hygiene procedures in accordance with government rules regarding the reopening of places of worship.

According to the Dail Mail, two officers showed up at the church on Balham High Street on Sunday during mass and spoke to two church stewards before leaving, apparently not finding reasons to issue any fines or dispersal orders.

Wandsworth police tweeted on Sunday afternoon: “After police were called to a church in Balham on Friday, we are pleased that Easter events could continue at this church as planned throughout Saturday and on Sunday. We continue to engage with all of London’s communities to enable religious services to take place safely.”

Images taken from outside of the church showed the overflow of around 40 worshippers kneeling on the pavement, listening to the service coming from inside on loudspeakers.

Speaking to the newspaper, 17-year-old Lukaz Kaczmarak said: “The police were here again today, but I wonder if they were here to try and catch us out.

86 Migrants Arrested in Five Failed Human Smuggling Attempts in Texas near Border

Border Patrol agents in the Rio Grande Valley Sector disrupted five human smuggling attempts. The interdictions led to the arrest of 86 migrants attempting to make their way into the U.S. interior.

Rio Grande City Station agents observed a group of migrants making landfall along the Rio Grande border river on April 2. The agents, along with a K-9 team and Texas Department of Public Safety troopers tracked the group to a residence in Rio Grande City, Texas, according to information obtained from Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol officials.

The agents observed fresh mud on the walls of the house near a window ledge. They called for support from Rio Grande City police officers to obtain entry into the house. Inside, agents found eight illegal aliens, officials stated.

Two days earlier, McAllen Statio agents received a call from the Mission Police Department about a possible human smuggling stash house in their city. Agents responded to the mobile home where they found a group of 13 migrants. Officials identified the migrants as foreign nationals from El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, and Nicaragua.

Later that night, agents attempted to stop a Ford F-350 pickup truck near Linn/San Manuel, Texas. The driver refused to yield leading the agents on a short pursuit. The pursuit ended when the truck crashed into a fence.

The agents observed a group of migrants bailing out of the truck and fleeing into the brush. A search of the area led to the apprehension of two Honduran nationals illegally present in the United States.

In two additional incidents on Thursday, Rio Grande Valley Sector agents apprehended 63 more migrants.

Florida residents are evacuated after reservoir contaminated with radioactive wastewater starts collapsing: Gov. Ron DeSantis declares state of emergency

A Florida reservoir contaminated with radioactive wastewater could collapse 'at any time' and has prompted evacuations as Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis declared a state of emergency on Saturday.

A significant leak at a large pond of wastewater was discovered on Friday at the old Piney Point phosphate mine in the Tampa Bay area north of Bradenton.

Waste material on the property is stored in water-covered stacks of phosphogypsum - a fertilizer waste product that is radioactive, WTSP reported.

The pond at the reservoir contains small amounts of naturally occurring radium and uranium, and the stacks can also release large concentrations of radon gas.

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection said the break was detected in one of the walls of a 77-acre pond that is 25 feet deep and holds millions of gallons of water containing phosphorus and nitrogen from the old phosphate plant.

However, Florida officials said in a statement that the main concern from the collapse would be flooding, calling the water being discharged 'slightly acidic.'

Officials have ordered more than 300 homes to be evacuated after efforts to plug the hole were unsuccessful. Authorities expanded the evacuation area later on Saturday to include more homes, but said they were not planning to open shelters.

Jordan: Who are the people arrested over the alleged coup plot?

The Saudi connections of two detained male associates of Prince Hamzah have sparked speculation about Riyadh’s relationship with Amman

On Saturday evening, Jordanian forces carried out a large-scale arrest campaign reportedly targeting at least 14 people accused of "undermining the security" of Jordan, including Prince Hamzah bin Hussein, the half-brother of King Abdullah II and former crown prince of Jordan.

While Jordanian authorities have stressed that Prince Hamzah is not under arrest, the Jordanian royal released a video on Saturday evening in which he said he had been instructed by the army chief of staff to limit his movements and communications while an investigation was ongoing.

Those arrested are reported to include people close to the former crown prince - including his office manager, bodyguards, and palace manager - in addition to a number of former state officials.

So far, Jordanian authorities have revealed only the identities of two detainees: Sharif Hassan bin Zaid and Bassem Awadallah, as Jordan's state news agency Petra reported that both had been "arrested, among others, for security reasons".

Prince Hamzah, the son of late King Hussein and his last wife, Queen Noor, is a well-known figure who has reportedly been critical of the Hashemite monarchy under his half-brother's reign.

There has been much speculation about the others accused of involvement in what some have described as an alleged coup attempt.

Both bin Zaid and Awadallah's strong ties with the Saudi leadership have led to speculation inside Jordan about what role, if any, Riyadh may have played in the recent events.

Who is Bassem Awadallah?

Awadallah served as economic secretary to the Jordanian premier from 1992 to 1996. He was appointed head of Jordan's royal court in 2007, before being sacked from the position less than a year later.

Following his dismissal, Awadallah moved to Dubai and established a company, Tomouh, reportedly living between the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.

According to the records of Companies House in the UK, Awadallah has extensive partnerships with Saudi businessmen in the Arab National Bank (ANB) and heads the bank's London branch, along with a number of Saudi partners.

He is also known for maintaining a network of prominent business connections, including through his presence on the board of directors of Al Baraka Banking Group in Bahrain.

Awadallah is reported to have spent the last few years working as a consultant for Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, with some news outlets calling him one of the masterminds of the privatisation of Saudi Arabia's energy giant Aramco.

Awadallah, 56, appeared alongside bin Salman at the annual Future Investment Initiative (FII) held in Riyadh in January.

TV: Lapid offered Bennett to be prime minister first in power-sharing deal

esh Atid leader Yair Lapid agreed to allow Yamina’s Naftali Bennett to serve as prime minister first in a potential power-sharing agreement between them during talks yesterday, Channel 13 reports.

Such a government would be a slim one, with 18 ministers maximum: nine for Bennett, Benny Gantz and Gideon Sa’ar on one side, and nine for Lapid and others on the center-left on the other.

According to the network, Bennett must now decide whether he wants to be prime minister in such a government, or back Benjamin Netanyahu and likely go to a fifth election, as Netanyahu does not appear to have any path to forming one.

According to a separate report on Channel 12, citing allies of the Yamina chief, Bennett would prefer a full right-wing government led by Netanyahu but this does not currently seem possible; his second choice would be a right-wing government led by Netanyahu with the outside support of the Islamist Arab Ra’am party, but this has been ruled out by Religious Zionism’s Bezalel Smotrich; and his third choice would be a partnership with Lapid and the center-left in which Bennett serves as prime minister.

But the report says Bennett still prefers this third-best option to a fifth election.

The Channel 13 report says a decision by Bennett to agree to a deal with Lapid could lead most of the center-left parties to recommend Bennett as prime minister when they meet with President Reuven Rivlin tomorrow.

The network’s commentator Ravi Drucker claims that there is currently a sense of despair in Netanyahu’s Likud, with people telling him the party is “close to losing power.”

Ukrainian president enforces sanctions on Russian humanitarian cooperation agency

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has enforced the National Security and Defense Council’s sanctions against the Russian Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Compatriots Living Abroad, and International Humanitarian Cooperation, Volga-Dnepr Co, and 77 more companies, as follows from the presidential decree posted on his office’s website on Sunday.

Among the blacklisted Russian companies are SNABKOM, Zvyozdochka special production and technical base, Speagregat plant, Molot-Mekhanika plant, Sevmormasj-2M Sevastopol machine-building plant, Dalzavod ship repairs center, Sevastopol machine tool plant, 322 and 514 aircraft repairs plants.

Along with Russian companies, the sanctions also cover several Ukrainian and foreign companies. Personal sanction were also slapped on ten Ukrainian nationals, who "are the top ten Ukrainian smugglers," according to President Zelensky.

Earlier, Ukrainian Culture Minister Alexander Tkachenko called on the National Security and Defense Council to consider the expediency of the Russian humanitarian cooperation’s office in the country.

He claimed that "Rossotrudnichestvo’s office in Ukraine and its Kiev-based Russian Science and Culture Center are involved in circulating Russian narratives and propaganda all over the world under the guise of cultural and scientific cooperation."

In particular, the minister was outraged by the March 9 post on Rossotrudnichestvo’s Facebook account announcing an event entitled ‘International Contest of Contemporary Poets. Shevchenko Day,’ which referred to Taras Shevchenko as "a Russian-Ukrainian poet."

On Saturday, deputy speaker of Russia’s Federation Council upper parliament house Konstantin Kosachev called for refraining from closing the Ukrainian culture center in Moscow as a response measure that was to follow anyway. He slammed this decision as "another example of the gradual degradation of the Ukrainian authorities in their policy towards Russia" and called for not "taking after homegrown nationalists."

Senate Republican Conference Chair Sen. John Barrasso on Sunday slammed the Biden administration over minors in "captivity" at the border being packed "in like sardines" as Republicans continue to hammer the president over what they say is a border crisis.

Barrasso, R-Wyo., also told "Sunday Morning Futures" host Maria Bartiromo that border officials told GOP senators on their recent visit to the border to delete photos they took of the facilities.

"This is both a humanitarian crisis and a national security crisis," Barrasso said. "You may have seen the numbers today are the highest in history of unaccompanied minors currently in captivity. They are crammed in like sardines. And this is what the Biden administration is trying to hide from the American public."

He added: "We were told to delete the pictures. No one did. You've seen the video coming out of all of these kids crammed together under the foil blankets, huddling together."

Barrasso also said the fact that Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is only testing children when they leave CBP facilities – rather than on arrival – means the testing is not really stopping any spread of the virus.

"They do the instant test. And then those that have been tested positive are just kind of moved to one side of the courtyard, those negative to the other of this courtyard," Barrasso said. "They've all been exposed, and then they're sent all across the country. You know, that is the real tragedy of this. And we're not sure what variant of the of the coronavirus they're carrying. They are carrying it, though, all around America."

It was first revealed late last month that the Biden administration isn't testing children upon arrival at CBP facilities, but as they leave to go to other centers run by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) or the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR).

Nowhere To Hide: Rocket Attack Hits Base Hosting US Troops In Iraq

On April 4, a rocket attack targeted Balad Air Base in Iraq’s central region. US troops are known to be deployed in the base.

An Iraqi security source told that al-Ain News that two rockets hit the air base, which is located 64 km to the north of the Iraqi capital Baghdad.

“The two rockets feel near the outer fence of the base, causing no human or material losses,” the UAE-based TV channel quoted the source as saying.

Sabereen News, a Telegram channel linked to Iranian-backed armed groups in Iraq, said the US-held section of Balad Air Base was closed after the attack. American personnel were prevented from moving outdoors.

So far, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack on Balad Air Base. Iranian-backed groups, which carried out similar attacks in the past, remain the main suspect.

This was not the first rocket attack on Iraqi bases hosting US troops. Two similar attacks took place earlier this year:

On February 15, a rocket attack targeted the military section of Erbil International Airport in northern Iraq. A Filipino contactor working for the US-led coalition was killed. Five other contractors, two US soldiers and two Iraqi civilians were injured.

On March 3, a rocket attack targeted Ain Assad Air Base in western Iraq. An American contractor died in the attack, allegedly from a “heart attack”.

These attacks are meant to force the US into withdrawing its forces from Iraq. Next week, Baghdad and Washington will start a “strategic dialog” on several issues, including the presence of American troops in the country.

Major League Baseball had extended and expanded its contract with a Chinese telecommunications giant shortly before boycotting the state of Georgia over the league’s disagreement with the election reforms recently enacted by the Peach State’s democratically elected governor and legislature.

Chinese state media reported on April 1 that the MLB will continue to be aired on the streaming platform operated by Chinese tech giant Tencent, which has significant ties to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Tencent is of the Chinese companies that had temporarily dropped NBA games as a form of censorship after former Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey spoke out in support of the pro-democracy protests in Hong Kong.

On April 2, the day after the announcement of the Chinese deal, the MLB moved its annual All-Star game out of Atlanta, Georgia, in response to a set of election reforms signed by Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp last month. MLB Commissioner Robert Manfred said in a statement that the move would “demonstrate our values as a sport.”

The league did not respond to an emailed request to confirm the details of the Chinese deal and a question on how continuing business with China demonstrates its values considering the recent U.S. recognition of a genocide being carried out by the CCP against the Uyghur Muslims. The CCP is responsible for an estimated 100 million unnatural deaths since taking power in China in 1949.

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) flagged the coincidental timing of the MLB’s China deal and Georgia boycott, writing on Twitter that the league has caved to pressure, moving the draft and Allstar game “the same week they announce a deal with a company backed by the genocidal Communist Party of China.”

Indonesia Landslides, Floods Kill 41 People; Dozens Missing

JAKARTA, Indonesia—Landslides and flash floods from torrential rains in eastern Indonesia killed at least 41 people and displaced thousands, the country’s disaster relief agency said Sunday. More than two dozen others were still missing.

Mud tumbled down from surrounding hills onto dozens of homes in Lamenele village shortly after midnight on Adonara island in East Nusa Tenggara province. Rescuers recovered 35 bodies and at least five injured, said Lenny Ola, who heads the local disaster agency.

Flash flooding killed at least six people elsewhere, according to the National Disaster Mitigation Agency. Relief efforts were hampered by power cuts, blocked roads covered in thick mud and debris as well as the remoteness of the area surrounded by choppy seas and high waves, said the agency’s spokesperson, Raditya Jati.

Seasonal downpours cause frequent landslides and floods, killing dozens each year in Indonesia, a chain of 17,000 islands where millions of people live in mountainous areas or near fertile flood plains.

Indonesia’s disaster agency lowered the death toll late Sunday to 41—down from 44—after search and rescue team reverified victims’ data. At least 27 people were still missing.

The bodies of three people were recovered after being swept away by floods in Oyang Bayang village, where 40 houses were also destroyed, Ola said. Hundreds of people fled submerged homes, some of which were carried off by the floodwaters.

In another village, Waiburak, three people were killed and seven remained missing when overnight rains caused rivers to burst their banks, sending muddy water into large areas of East Flores district, Ola said. Four injured people were being treated at a local health clinic.

Hundreds of people were still involved in the rescue efforts as of late Sunday, Jati told a press conference. At least six villages have been affected by flash floods and a landslide that cut five bridges on the island, he said.

Climate Czar Kerry 'Hopeful' the U.S. Can Work With China on Climate Change

Is there any U.S. politician/diplomat of the last 100 years that’s been as clueless and delusional about the intentions of America’s enemies as John Kerry?

You might think a priest or rabbi would see the best of intentions in their enemies. But given the responsibilities John Kerry has taken on since he left the Senate in 2012, you would be justified in wondering why this man was put in the position of protecting U.S. interest in any circumstances.

Kerry’s Vietnam betrayal was only the beginning. As Secretary of State under Barack Obama, he consistently undermined the state of Israel while starting a civil war in Syria that is still going on. As chief negotiator with Iran to try and curb their nuclear ambitions, he enabled the Iranian state’s designs for hegemony in the region by negotiating the most dangerous agreement in U.S. diplomatic history. Not only did the deal fail to stop Iran’s enrichment program, it gave Iran billions of dollars in sanctions relief and released billions more held by U.S. after Iran nationalized American businesses after the revolution. This windfall proved vital to the terrorist group Hezbollah and other radical Islamic groups in the region.

Now Kerry is the “special envoy” for climate. What other damage can he do to U.S. interests? He appears to be playing into China’s hands by thinking Beijing wants to cooperate with the rest of the world in lowering greenhouse gas emissions.

This is a Communist government that has refused to cooperate in discovering the origins of the coronavirus pandemic — information that is vital if we are to stop the next international health emergency. Why should they give a flying fig about the world’s climate?

“Our hope is that we’re going to be able to deal with yes, China,” Kerry told reporters during a visit to the United Arab Emirates capital Abu Dhabi on Saturday. “President Biden has made it clear and I’ve made it clear: none of the other issues we have with China — and there are issues — is held hostage to or is engaged in a trade for what we need to do on climate.”

Apparently, we don’t care if they employ the Uighur Muslims as slave laborers in their cotton fields and factories. We don’t care if they’re brutally crushing freedom in Hong Kong. We almost certainly wouldn’t mind if China invaded Taiwan.

It’s more important that we talk about carbon emissions and lofty goals about cutting carbon “pollution.”

Wikipedia itself boasts of the reliability of its highly flawed user-generated crowdsourced editing model, much of which allowed for unnamed, anonymous figures to control the editorial oversight of most of its pages relating to war, politics, and pandemics.

White House Can Pass $2.3 Trillion Infrastructure Bill Without GOP Support, Biden’s Energy Sec Says

Republican House and Senate leaders expressed vocal opposition to the president’s infrastructure plan, dismissing it as a "'kitchen sink' of wasteful progressive demands” and criticising its call for new taxes. Biden unveiled the plan on Wednesday, calling it a “once-in-a-generation” chance to fix America’s “crumbling” infrastructure.

The Biden administration plans to move ahead with the president’s $2.3 trillion infrastructure bill even if it has to be pushed through Congress without GOP support, Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm has announced.

“As [President Biden] has said, he was sent to the presidency to do a job for America. And if the vast majority of Americans, Democrats and Republicans, across the country support spending on our country and not allowing us to lose the race globally, then he’s going to do that,” Granholm said, speaking to CNN’s State of the Union on Sunday and responding when pressed whether the White House might pass the infrastructure bill using a process called reconciliation if Republicans don’t support the legislation.

The parliamentary process of reconciliation allows for bills to be passed using simple majorities, instead of the traditional 60 vote majority rule used in the Senate. The current Senate includes 48 Democrats and two Democratic-leaning independents, with Vice President Kamala Harris able to cast the deciding tie-breaking vote in the event of a tie. In the House, Democrats enjoy a thin 219-211 majority.

In her Sunday interview, Granholm went on to say that Biden’s “sincere preference” would be to have Republicans “come to the table” and negotiate.

Asked to comment on the bill’s spending on things not traditionally associated with infrastructure, including over $600 billion in funding for care home facilities and affordable housing, and hundreds of billions of dollars for electric vehicles, Granholm said the bill’s focus is not just roads and bridges, but “creating good-paying sustainable jobs in a whole array of sectors that will help us to win the future.”

Granholm called the bill “the biggest investment in America since FDR – since the New Deal” and said it would help restore America’s industrial base. “It is an amazing statement that finally we’re going to invest in America instead of watching all these other countries beat us to the punch,” she said.

Biden’s infrastructure proposal, formally known as the “American Jobs Plan,” includes four major components, including transportation infrastructure, spending on broadband and upgrading buildings, investments in the care economy, as well as funding for R&D into future technologies. The proposal will require a reform of the tax code, including a corporate tax hike from 21 percent to 28 percent (which would still be below the 35 percent rate it was at before the Trump-backed corporate tax cuts in 2017).

GOP Resists Biden's Plans

Republicans have vowed to resist the Biden infrastructure bill, with Senate Minority Leader Mitch Mcconnell saying bluntly that the proposal was “not going to get support from our side.” House Minority Leader Kevin McCarty characterised the plans as a “’kitchen sink’ of wasteful progressive demands.”

Senator Mitt Romney, meanwhile, called on Biden to “live up to the partisanship he preached in his inaugural address,” and suggested that “a Senate evenly split between both parties and a bare Democratic House majority are hardly a mandate to ‘go it alone.’”

Montana Governor Bans Sanctuary Cities in a Bid to Enforce US Immigration Laws

Steve Bullock, former Democratic Governor for Montana, was not a fan of forbidding sanctuary cities in the state – a term that refers to municipal jurisdictions that do not comply with federal migration laws and allow illegal migrants to stay off the radar. His Republican successor, however, thinks differently.

Montana’s new Governor Greg Gianforte signed a bill this week outlawing sanctuary cities in the state, signalling in a statement that “immigration laws will be enforced in Montana.”

The new bill means that local law enforcement agencies will be required to follow federal laws on immigration and hold arrested illegal immigrants until they're deported by the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). This is not the case in sanctuary cities, where an illegal migrant can be released from custody without ending up in a federal database following his or her contact with police.

There are 69 counties in America that have “sanctuary” laws in place, the Daily Mail estimates, that allow municipalities to decline requests to detain illegal immigrants over their status as migrants. These counties are also home to some of the nation’s 11 million illegal migrants.

But Montana law means that the state’s attorney general will be free to punish municipal jurisdictions that don't comply with federal immigration laws.

Meanwhile, the database for the Centre for Immigration studies shows that there are currently no sanctuary cities or counties in Montana, so the measure could be seen as something more symbolic and preemptive – and a reversal of policies propagated by former Democratic Governor Steve Bullock, who opposed the measure back in 2019.

The bill also makes Montana the latest out of at least 12 other states to ban official sanctuary cities. In summer 2019, Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis fulfilled his campaign promise to forbid local governments from ditching their cooperation with federal immigration authorities.
