If you think that you can "get to Heaven" or "transcend" anything with just your good deads, then why did God sacrifice His only begotten Son for us??? That would make God a very unjust God and we know that He is a just God!
How evil would it have been for God to have chosen rather to put His perfect Son through such a horror for absolutely no reason!!!
Then we didn't need a Savior! That's what he's saying. That's what the Devil wants you to believe so that you are lulled into a slumber and refuse to accept Jesus Christ. You think you are better on your own and you can be "good" on your own and win! This is the biggest lie in the world!!! What kind of "reverend" is this? He "revers" only himself!!!

Oh my gosh! I brought this up yesterday in a post here. It doesn't add up to the three days and three nights that was required.
The key is that there is a difference between a regular sabbath day and a high-day. I've studied this and it fits biblically, with accuracy. You have to put in the time though and really go through the scriptures. It requires understanding the law from the Old Testament and understanding the prophecy and how perfectly it all came true in the Gospels.
It's really beautiful when you put it all together!

I don't know anything about the UCG crowd. I only study the bible and meet with fellow minded Christians for fellowship. We study God's written word. Our whole basis of approach is reverencing God. To us, God is perfect, therefore His Word is also perfect. And only by studying and looking at original text and a lot of times really just being detail oriented and applying common sense. No man made religion, we put that to the side and just go by His Word! Love it!
