My son is a USMC Reservist. He told me that the Navy was building up a fleet in the Pacific for a potential conflict with China 2-3 months ago. He also told me more Marines are being assigned to Destroyers and other battleships to protect them. The reason for that was something to do with a Navy ship being seized a while back and the Naval crew didn’t really know what to do. Now Marines are more prevalent on the ships. They’ll know what to do.
