Just finished the HBO series and here are my thoughts:

Why is CM the percieved enemy and Fredrick the hero as it's pretty clear that Fredrick is a sociopath?

Did the journalist aid and abed Fredrick when helping him get back to the United States to avoid criminal charges?

Why did the journalist not explore Steve Bannon more (goes to monestary in Italy even though Bannon not there and pushes propaganda that the reason is because of Bannon's populist school is what kicked him out, but obviously the reporter is either completely incompetent or a paid shill for finding this out after he's in Italy)?

Neither CM or JW are Q. Both are eccentric, but have good hearts. Both aren't military in any way, but CM could work for the NSA as a contractor just like Snowden did with Booz Allen Hamilton, but the reporter never digs as to why CM lives in Japan. NSA is in Japan and loves coders just like CM and Snowden.

Bannon might one of the Qteam because the reporter failed to dig deeper and instead used only one narrow example of Bannon hating Flynn.
