246 "Fully Vaccinated" Michigan Residents Catch COVID-19, 3 Die

So much for the COVID jabs being "100% effective" at preventing "serious illness."

Michigan, now the epicenter of the American COVID outbreak, is desperately begging the federal government for more vaccines. But reports about a rash of infections in "fully vaccinated" patients might provoke a rethink.

The Detroit News reported that as many as 246 vaccinated Michigan residents later tested positive for the deadly bug, including three who have died. The cases were reported between Jan. 1 and March 31, and the 246 had a positive test 14 or more days after the last dose in the vaccine series, said Lynn Sutfin, a spokeswoman for the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.

"Some of these individuals may ultimately be excluded from this list due to continuing to test positive from a recent infection prior to being fully vaccinated," she said.

"These cases are undergoing further review to determine if they meet other CDC criteria for determination of potential breakthrough, including the absence of a positive antigen or PCR test less than 45 days prior to the post-vaccination positive test. In general, these persons have been more likely to be asymptomatic or mildly symptomatic compared with vaccinated persons."

The department had hospitalization data for 117 of the cases, but 129 were incomplete, Sutfin added. The three deaths were all "persons 65 years or older," and two of them died within three weeks of completion of vaccination, she said. "While the majority of the population develops full immunity within 14 days of completion of their vaccine series, a small proportion appear to take onger to mount a full antibody response." Of the 117 with data available, 11 were hospitalized, 103 were not hospitalized, and 3 are reported as unknown, Sutfin said.

As of April 4, about 2.95 million residents, or about 36.5% of Michigan's population, have been vaccinated, either with one or two doses, according to the state website. About 4.7M doses had been administered.

Russia & China won’t create Eastern military bloc to rival NATO because exclusive clubs are ‘counter-productive,’ says FM Lavrov

Despite Moscow and Beijing forging an increasingly close partnership, the two see no potential benefits in establishing a formal alliance to face off against the US-led NATO military bloc, Russia’s top diplomat has announced.

Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday with his Indian counterpart, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told reporters that “Russian-Chinese relations have reached the best level in history.” However, he said, “these relations will not lead us to pursue the goal of creating an armed forces alliance.”

He criticized “talk of projects to create a ‘Middle Eastern NATO,’” noting, “recently people are even discussing whether an ‘Asian NATO’ could be formed.”

Moscow’s envoy said that “we have exchanged views on this matter. We share a common position with our Indian friends that this would be counterproductive.” Instead, Lavrov said, “we are interested in cooperation being inclusive and in favor of something, not against someone else.”

Relations between Russia and NATO countries have worsened in recent months. Last week, Lavrov was forced to deny claims from NATO’s general secretary, Jens Stoltenberg, who insisted that a breakdown in communications was Moscow’s fault alone. The foreign minister responded that there had been no talks held through a joint dialogue forum not because “we refuse to work, but because we just don’t want to sit there and hear about Ukraine.”

“NATO has nothing to do with Ukraine,” he said, “and yet when they offer to convene the Russia-NATO Council, they always insist that the first question should be about Ukraine. We sat down a couple of times, listened, we all know this.”

Over the weekend, amid reported clashes in Donbass and claims of Russian troop movements near its border with Ukraine, one of Kiev’s diplomats claimed that it would work with the bloc to prepare for a possible conflict.

“A large-scale NATO exercise has begun, called DefenderEurope 2021,” Aleksey Arestovich said, adding that “this basically translates to Defend Europe.”

He claimed that the drills will focus on areas “from the waters of the Baltic to the Black Sea, to put it bluntly, armed confrontation with Russia.”

As part of the wargames, Europe will see the largest deployment of US forces since the start of the 21st century. Around 20,000 American troops will participate, along with a 17,000-strong contingent from NATO member states and non-members like Ukraine.

Biden Plans Thursday Executive Action On Guns

Shares in gun stocks temporarily spiked higher on Wednesday after Politico reported that President Biden is set to unveil a 'long-awaited executive action on guns,' which is expected to include background checks for owners of so-called ghost guns - which are typically homemade or makeshift firearms that lack serial numbers.

Other components of the executive action(s) are unclear - however some have speculated that Biden will announce regulations on 'concealed assault-style firearms,' as well as prohibitions on purchases for those convicted of domestic violence against their partners. There will also likely be federal guidance on home storage safety measures.

Last week over 100 House Democrats urged Biden to take action on concealed assault-style firearms.

One other announcement Biden could make on Thursday is the introduction of his nominee to be the director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, who will play a key role in any executive branch action on guns. His nominee could be tough to get through a Senate split 50-50 between Republicans and Democrats. The ATF has had mostly acting directors since the position became Senate-confirmed. Todd Jones was confirmed as ATF director in 2013 after a years-long stint as acting director.

In response to criticism from gun control advocacy groups that his administration has moved too slowly on executive actions, the Biden White House has responded that legislative fixes are a priority. Biden is likely to make the same point on Thursday, in addition to expressing support for bills to expand background checks and close the so-called Charleston loophole that allows a gun to be transferred from licensed gun dealers before a completed background check. He also is likely to push for legislation to keep guns away from people believed to be a danger to themselves or others, as well as a ban of assault weapons and high capacity magazines. -Politico

Chinese officials are detaining Christians in windowless "transformation" facilities and using "brainwashing" to get them to renounce their faith, Radio Free Asia reported.

RFA said it spoke to a member of a Christian house church who asked to be identified by a pseudonym — and "Li Yuese" told the outlet he was held for nearly 10 months in a facility run by the Chinese Communist Party's United Front Work Department after a 2018 raid on his church.

Li called the facility "mobile," said it "could just set up in some basement somewhere," and that "it was staffed by people from several different government departments," RFA noted.

He added that "they mainly target Christians who are members of house churches," the outlet reported.

The Chinese Communist Party, which embraces atheism, exercises tight controls over any form of religious practice among its citizens.

State security police and religious affairs bureau officials frequently raid unofficial "house churches" that aren't members of the CCP-backed Three-Self Patriotic Association, although member churches have also been targeted at times.

The CCP under Xi Jinping regards Christianity as a dangerous foreign import, with party documents warning against the "infiltration of Western hostile forces" in the form of religion.

Li said most of his fellow inmates had been released on bail during criminal detention for taking part in church-related activities — but most hadn't done anything that would result in criminal prosecution, so police sent them to the "transformation" facilities instead, the outlet reported.

"They were using brainwashing methods on those of us who were on bail from the detention center," he told RFA, adding that "you have to accept the statement they prepare for you" and "if you refuse, you will be seen as having a bad attitude and they will keep you in detention and keep on beating you."

Li added to the outlet that "there were no windows, no ventilation, and no time allowed outside" and that he was given just two meals a day.

Inmates who refused to "admit their mistakes" were held in solitary confinement for prolonged periods, RFA said.

"There is no time limit for the brainwashing process," Li added to the outlet. "I don't know the longest time anyone has been held there, but I was detained for eight or nine months."

He also said since "you can't see the sun," all "concept of time" is lost, RFA reported.

Li also told the outlet that suicidal thoughts and self-harm were commonplace.

"I couldn't sleep; after you've been in there a week, death starts to look better than staying there," he recalled to RFA. "I bashed myself against the wall to self-harm."

Li noted to the outlet one instance when he was "groggy and was trying to open my eyes, but I couldn't. Four or five of them grabbed me by the arms and legs and pinned me to the ground. They they injected me with some drug, and brought me back to consciousness."

He said that upon his release he was suffering from edema and had gained over 20 pounds, RFA reported.

AstraZeneca Child Vaccine Trial Halted as Officials Admit Link Between Jab and Deadly Blood Clots

3 Just days after Australia’s deputy chief medical officer, Michael Kidd, acknowledged that there was likely a connection between rare blood clots and the COVID vaccine developed by AstraZeneca and Oxford, officials from the EMA, Europe’s top pharmaceutical regulator, have finally acknowledged the link, even if the agency’s official stance – that there’s no evidence of a link, but no evidence to rule it out – remains unchanged.

The EMA declared at the conclusion of a hasty “safety review” last month that the benefits of the AstraZeneca jab (which is expected to to be the workhorse of the global vaccination rollout as Covax, the WHO/Gates Foundation program to vaccination developing countries, expects to heavily rely on the jab) far outweighed any risks, while saying it couldn’t definitively rule out the possibility that the blood clots and the vaccine might be connected. But researchers from Norway, Germany and elsewhere insisted they had found evidence of a connection. And after the UK acknowledged more than 2 dozen new cases of the rare clots – 9 of them fatal – it seems the dam has finally broken.

New findings from the EMA show that there is indeed a link between the “very rare” blood clots in the brain and the AstraZeneca vaccine, but the exact possible causes are still unknown, according to a senior EMA official, who made the comments in an interview with the Italian newspaper Il Messagero. “In my opinion, we can now say it, it is clear that there is an association (of the brain blood clots) with the vaccine. However, we still do not know what causes this reaction,” Marco Cavaleri, chair of the vaccine evaluation team at the EMA, told Italian daily Il Messagero.

Cavaleri provided no evidence to support his comment.

Cavaleri said the EMA would say in its review that there is a link but was not likely to give an indication this week regarding the age of individuals to whom the AstraZeneca shot should be given.

In a separate interview, Armando Genazzani, a member of the EMA’s Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use, told another Italian newspaper, La Stampa, that a connection between the jab and the clots was “plausible.”

The EMA is officially investigating 44 cases of the brain blood clots, an ailment known as a cerebral venous thrombosis (or CVST). More than 9.2M people in the EU have received the vaccine in total.

In response to Cavaleri’s comments, the Amsterdam-based EMA said in a statement on Tuesday: “EMA’s Pharmacovigilance Risk Assessment Committee (PRAC) has not yet reached a conclusion and the review (of any possible link) is currently ongoing.”

According to Infowars, Jones and his crew were tracking illegal immigrants who had been dropped off at makeshift Border Patrol tents under the Anzalduas international bridge in McAllen, Texas. From there, they visited a new and crowded facility in Donna where they tangled with security.

The crew then followed the illegal immigrants to what appeared to be a fraudulent COVID-19 testing facility, then to Catholic Charities, where Jones reportedly witnessed children being placed in vehicles and driven off for hours.

According Infowars, the charity provides illegals with airplane or bus tickets to any US city, as well as a debit card with $1,200 for each individual. They also claim to have “assisted” over 23,000 individuals who have come to the US illegally. “Catholic Charities is the same organization handing illegals manila envelopes which have money, vouchers and instructions on how to be transported to their destination of choice within the US.”

“When the crew was walking to the Christian Charity center near the bus station, they witnessed five children and an adult exiting the center and being loaded in a hatch back car,” reports Infowars. “Three of these children were loaded into the luggage compartment where no seat belts were present. This video picks up where the crew sprung into action.”

200 Companies Join the Pushback Against Election Integrity Efforts

In the latest weigh-in by corporate America on election reform efforts, 200 companies—including PayPal, Dow, Microsoft, and Uber—have signed a joint statement signaling their opposition to bills that critics claim impose unfair barriers to voting and whose proponents say make elections more secure.

“There are hundreds of bills threatening to make voting more difficult in dozens of states nationwide,” says the statement by senior executives at corporations that also include Estee Lauder, HP, LinkedIn, and Levi’s.

“We call on elected leaders in every state capitol and in Congress to work across the aisle and ensure that every eligible American has the freedom to easily cast their ballot and participate fully in our democracy,” the business leaders wrote.

While the business leaders didn’t specify which election-related bills or legislative efforts they have in mind, they broadly took aim at initiatives that they claim “impose barriers that result in longer lines at the polls or that reduce access to secure ballot dropboxes,” an argument made by opponents to a recently enacted election reform law in Georgia.

In the wake of the 2020 election controversy, Republican and Democrat lawmakers across the country have been pulling in opposite directions by introducing legislation that either reduces barriers—and guardrails—to voting or seeks to strengthen election integrity, which can also make casting a vote more effortful or burdensome.

SB 202, or the Election Integrity Act of 2021 (pdf), was signed into law by Gov. Brian Kemp, drawing praise from those who argue that more stringent requirements around voter ID, among other measures, make elections more secure, while sparking condemnation from those who view them as “voter suppression.”

CCP’S TikTok Hosting Ads Advising Illegal Aliens – Including Convicted Criminals – On How To Avoid Deportations.

TikTok – a short video app compromised by the Chinese Communist Party – is teeming with videos advising illegal aliens on how to stay in the U.S. and avoid deportation.

TikTok, whose founder has pledged to use the app to “promote socialist core values” and routes data through China-based servers, is hosting videos amassing millions of views targeting illegal aliens.

As a report from the outlet Mother Jones notes, “many of the advertisements seem to target undocumented Latin American immigrants with strong ties to the United States and few to no existing options for obtaining legal status.”

In other words, “immigrants who enter the country illegally, overstay a visa, or have certain criminal convictions or prior deportation orders” are the “population that the TikTok ads primarily target.”

Mother Jones explains the format of the ads, often using a hashtag “fix without leaving,”:

The TikTok posts usually follow a simple formula: With a mariachi song or reggaeton beat playing in the background, the lawyer dances and flashes work permits, while pop-up boxes urge the viewer to schedule a legal consultation. They also often carry the hashtag #arreglarsinsalir, or “fix without leaving,” implying that viewers can obtain legal status without having to go to an embassy or consulate abroad. The hashtag has topped 1 million views.

The advertisements – which TikTok doesn’t appear to be taking action against – frequently guarantee employment authorization in six months and a green card within two years, even if, as several ads say, “other attorneys have said you have no option.”

Election Fraud Prosecution At An "All-Time High": Texas Attorney General's Office

An official in Texas’ Attorney General’s office testified during a state House hearing that the number of election fraud cases in Texas is at an “all-time high.”

The amount is “higher than our historical average by a long shot,” said Jonathan White, the head of the election fraud agency within the Texas Attorney General’s Special Prosecution Division, to the Texas House Elections Committee last week, reported The Texan.

When asked by a state lawmaker if there were trends in election fraud prosecutions, White said that “have 510 offenses pending against 43 defendants in court right now,” saying it’s “for several reasons probably.”

He did not elaborate.

White said that about 80 percent of those pending cases involve alleged mail-in ballot fraud, and 60 percent of resolved cases involved mail-in voting.

The attorney general’s office prosecuted 534 election fraud-related cases committed by 155 people since 2005, according to the report.

“I think we could both agree that 99.9 percent of people are honest and forthright, they don’t cheat at elections. They don’t go around murdering people or committing aggravated robberies, either,” White said in the hearing.

Last week, the Republican-led Texas state Senate approved legislation that would ban mail-in ballot drop boxes and most drive-thru voting, a measure that Republicans say “ensures election integrity.” Democrats have said it’s voter suppression and makes it harder for people with disabilities and ethnic minorities to vote.

The measure, according to state Sen. Bryan Hughes, a Republican, is “designed to address areas through process where bad actors can take advantage because we want the people of Texas to be confident their elections are fair, honest, and open.” The legislation “standardizes and clarifies” voting rules so “every Texan has a fair and equal opportunity to vote, regardless of where they live in the state.”

It also will require voters who have disabilities to prove that they can’t access polls in person in order to qualify for a mail-in ballot, and would also require authorization from top state leaders to be alerted about any private funding of more than $1,000 that is given to election departments, according to KXAN.

Democrats said the bill will lead to voter suppression.

“Every eligible Texan deserves to have their voice heard at the ballot box—regardless of their race, ethnicity, disability, gender, age, income, or party. SB 7 makes it harder for every Texan to vote,” a statement from the state Democratic Party said. “We aggressively fought this bill because we know it will disenfranchise racial and ethnic minority voters and voters with disabilities, including veterans."

US Charges New York Cosmetics Executive With Iran Sanctions Violations

WASHINGTON—U.S. prosecutors said on Tuesday they charged the president of a New York cosmetics company for his alleged involvement in a conspiracy to violate U.S. economic sanctions on Iran.

Michael Rose, president of Forsythe Cosmetics Group LLC, is accused of skirting U.S. sanctions between 2015 and 2018 by arranging for the export from the United States to Iran of more than $350,000 worth of cosmetics, prosecutors said in an indictment.

They said an Iranian-based importer with whom Rose was working then used front companies based outside Iran to send payments to New York and to arrange for the shipment of goods to Iran via the United Arab Emirates.

Danya Perry, a lawyer for Rose, declined to comment on the indictment.

Rose was arrested on Tuesday by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the U.S. Commerce Department’s Office of Export Enforcement. Prosecutors said he was expected to appear before a magistrate judge in Manhattan federal court.

“Whatever his motivation—greed or something more sinister—we allege Mr. Rose intentionally disguised his products’ ultimate destination and lied about those products’ prices to limit his customs liability,” said William F. Sweeney Jr., an FBI assistant director.

USBP Arrests MS-13 Gang Member

CAMPO, Calif. — San Diego Sector (SDC) Border Patrol agents arrested an MS-13 gang member after he illegally entered the U.S.

At about 12:45 a.m. Wednesday, an agent patrolling the mountains near Forest Gate Road was searching for a group of illegal entrants when he encountered six men near the border wall.

The agent questioned the men about their immigration status and all six men admitted to being illegally present in the U.S. The men were placed under arrest and transported to a nearby Border Patrol station for processing. At the station, a records check revealed that one of the men, a 28-year-old El Salvadorian national, was a documented MS-13 gang member.

The El Salvadorian man will be processed for removal at a local Border Patrol station. The other five men, three additional El Salvadorian nationals, one Mexican national, and one Honduran national, will also be processed for removal from the U.S.

“I’m proud of the great work by our agents arresting this gang member,” said Chief Patrol Agent Aaron Heitke. “Their hard work keeps our neighborhoods safe.”

Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand Says The Quiet Part About Biden’s ‘Infrastructure’ Plan Out Loud

Democratic New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand said Wednesday morning on Twitter that child care, paid leave and caregiving are “infrastructure” in defense of President Joe Biden’s nearly $2 trillion infrastructure package.

“Paid leave is infrastructure,” the tweet said. “Child care is infrastructure. Caregiving is infrastructure.”

Biden introduced the expansive infrastructure package, titled the American Jobs Plan, on March 31 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The bill has been criticized for including provisions seemingly unrelated to infrastructure, like paid family and medical leave.

Although it does allocate $600 billion to improve roads, bridges and public transit, a White House Fact Sheet shows that the package also includes significant funding for developments aimed at addressing climate change and “long-standing and persistent racial injustice.”

“Both our failing physical infrastructure and the impossible choices we impose on caregivers put our nation at a competitive disadvantage,” House Ways and Means Chair Richard Neal wrote in a letter to Democratic committee members pledging that paid medical and family leave would be included in the bill. “If it is the road that gets you to work, it is the child care that gets you through the day, and workers are counting on these supports.”

Leaked Teacher Training Video Shows How Cultish Critical Race Theory Is Being Pushed On Virginia Teachers

Evidence submitted to The Daily Wire by whistleblower teachers in Virginia Beach City Public Schools (VBCPS) reveals how educators are being pressured into pushing critical race theory (CRT) in their classrooms.

The full video course, titled “Advancing Equity Through Continuous Reflection: Self Assessment,” was used to train Language Arts teachers in Virginia Beach during the fall of 2020. While I recommend watching the full 22 minutes (as it is a revealing specimen of cult indoctrination propaganda), I’ve summarized it below, including my own commentary as a teacher who experienced radical CRT brainwashing early in my career. Over the course of the video you can see how teachers are primed to accept increasingly radical statements, how cult indoctrination techniques soften their psychological defenses and, finally, how induced insecurity is leveraged to guilt teachers into becoming radical activists in the classrooms and beyond. The culmination of the 22 minute course reveals a chilling guided activity in which teachers are literally asked to practice “confronting” their “racist” colleagues about offensive statements like “everyone is equal in my class.” It’s a wild ride.

Right away, the facilitator in the upper right corner warns the teachers: “This work may not be turnkey, in fact it’s not even intended to be,” going on to vaguely assert “it is our work.” She then quickly reassures confused language arts teachers that “equity starts in literacy,” so this will allow us to “continue” with that focus. (“Equity” trainings are just a component of literacy trainings — it’s all the same, can’t you see?) That’s the last time we will hear about literacy.

By the 5-minute mark, the facilitator introduces the real goal: “continuous reflection.” “Let’s go even deeper,” she says. “We need to critically self-assess through ongoing examination of our implicit and explicit biases.” Immediately recognizing this classic CRT indoctrination technique, a chill goes down my spine. Cults will often encourage members to mull over a topic continuously because doing so eventually muddies their convictions. Once a person is caught in a loop of self-doubt, they are malleable. Some religious cults, for example, will advise members to meditate on a doctrine “until they know that it is true.” While I don’t suspect that this facilitator is a cult mastermind, or even a Marxist scholar, it’s important to realize that cultish techniques can self-propagate within an ideological movement without any conscious intent on the part of participants. CRT relies heavily on this psychological phenomenon.

We are then told that recognizing bias is only the “first step.” Indeed we are at a “fork in the road”; we must start thinking about “action.” “So,” she asks, “what are those actions we can take?”

United Airlines Says It Wants 50% Of Pilots Trained In Next Decade To Be Women Or People Of Color

United Airlines announced on Tuesday that it would increase the number of women and people of color who become pilots, setting a goal for 50% of the 5,000 pilots trained in the next decade to fit the demographics.

The airline made the announcement on Twitter, writing, “Our flight deck should reflect the diverse group of people on board our planes every day. That’s why we plan for 50% of the 5,000 pilots we train in the next decade to be women or people of color.”

Twenty minutes after the initial tweet was sent – and after criticism from many on Twitter suggesting hiring people based on race and gender rather than talent would be dangerous – United followed up by saying: “All the highly qualified candidates we accept into the Academy, regardless of race or sex, will have met or exceeded the standards we set for admittance.”

The follow-up didn’t placate everyone, including Dave Brooks, the former managing editor of The Daily Caller, who questioned why United hadn’t achieved this goal already if they had qualified candidates of color.

“So why haven’t you done this before now? If you had qualified women and minorities, why didn’t you hire them? This implies you’ve been discriminatory until now,” Brooks suggested.Others questioned whether the airline would refuse to hire qualified white men just to meet the self-imposed quota, while some wondered if the diversity policy would apply to flight mechanics – who are mostly men – and flight attendants – who are mostly women.

United provided a link to an application website for those interested in becoming pilots, which doesn’t mention diversity until about halfway down. The company said that already 20% of its pilot group is made up of women and minorities, adding that it is “partnering with diversity-led organizations” in order to achieve an even higher percentage.

“Today, United has one of the most diverse pilot populations of any U.S. carrier with nearly 20% of our pilot group made up of women and people of color. We are working toward raising that number even higher by partnering with diversity-led organizations and continuing to remove gender and racial barriers. And we’re going one step further with plans for 50% of United Aviate Academy students being women and people of color to ensure our students reflect the diversity of the customers and communities we serve,” the website says.

Part of the way United plans to help more underrepresented communities become pilots is through financial aid.

“Together United and JPMorgan Chase are offering $2.4 million in financial aid to the best and brightest talent, opening the door to a lucrative career for people who previously didn’t have the opportunity to pursue one. We’re in the business of breaking down barriers and we want the pilot population — some of the highest paying jobs in the industry — to be open to a much more diverse pool of candidates,” the website says.

In addition to United and JPMorgan Chase, the website says additional loans will be available from Sallie Mae.

It is against the law to discriminate by race and gender, which could open the airline to lawsuits from qualified candidates denied a job in favor of a diversity quota.

Morgan Stanley sold $5 billion in shares from Archegos the night BEFORE news hit the market that the private investment firm was about to collapse

Morgan Stanley sold about $5 billion of Archegos' stocks the night before the fire sale hit rivals, according to reports.

The investment bank and financial services company had the consent of Archegos, run by former Tiger Management analyst Bill Hwang, to shop around its stock late last month, according to a report by CNBC that cited people with knowledge of the trades.

The bank offered the shares at a discount, telling the hedge funds that they were part of a margin call that could prevent the collapse of an unnamed client.

Morgan Stanley has so far declined to comment on the trade which saw it quietly unload some of its risky positions to hedge funds.

In total, Morgan Stanley, who was was the biggest holder of the top 10 stocks traded by Archegos at the end of 2020 with about $18 billion in positions, sold about $5 billion in Archegos stock in order to avoid suffering losses of their own which could well have totaled more than $10 billion.

Morgan Stanley didn't share the information it had with stock buyers. The Archegos shares it was selling comprised of various names including Baidu and Tencent Music.

The sell off was the start of tens of billions of dollars in sales by Morgan Stanley and other investment banks starting the very next day.

NASA has sent their employees an email asking if they would volunteer at Joe Biden's overcrowded camps for migrants crossing the border.

In an email obtained by The Intercept's Ken Klippenstein, the space agency said the Department of Health and Human Services was looking for people to put themselves for 120 days of work to help unaccompanied kids coming from Mexico.

Several other agencies are believed to have received similar requests. DailyMail.com has reached out to Health and Human Services for comment.

The email was released just hours after it was reported that the Biden administration is considering restarting building the border wall to 'plug' the gaps amid the surge in illegal crossings.

The Department of Homeland Security have said the camps for migrant children are over capacity and there is concern about more making the journey north from Guatemala.

Analyst: Apple’s Revenue Will Grow Thanks to Its Deal with Google to Control the Internet

According to analysts, Apple’s search engine deal with fellow tech giant Google is expected to be a primary source of service revenue growth for the company.

MacRumors reports that Morgan Stanley analyst Katy Huberty raised her services-related revenue forecast for Apple through the 2022 fiscal year, largely driven by the company’s search engine deal with Google.

Breitbart News reported in October of 2020 that the Department of Justice filed an antitrust lawsuit against Google. 11 states also joined the DOJ action against the internet giant. The lawsuit claimed that the company engaged in anticompetitive practices in order to preserve monopolies in the search and advertising components that make up huge sections of the tech firm’s main business.

The New York Times later outlined one deal between Apple and Google that was reportedly an area of focus in the case. The deal cemented Google as the primary search engine on Apple’s devices, funneling massive amounts of traffic to the search giant.

The New York Times stated:

When Tim Cook and Sundar Pichai, the chief executives of Apple and Google, were photographed eating dinner together in 2017 at an upscale Vietnamese restaurant called Tamarine, the picture set off a tabloid-worthy frenzy about the relationship between the two most powerful companies in Silicon Valley.

As the two men sipped red wine at a window table inside the restaurant in Palo Alto, their companies were in tense negotiations to renew one of the most lucrative business deals in history: an agreement to feature Google’s search engine as the preselected choice on Apple’s iPhone and other devices. The updated deal was worth billions of dollars to both companies and cemented their status at the top of the tech industry’s pecking order.

Now, the partnership is in jeopardy. Last Tuesday, the Justice Department filed a landmark lawsuit against Google — the U.S. government’s biggest antitrust case in two decades — and homed in on the alliance as a prime example of what prosecutors say are the company’s illegal tactics to protect its monopoly and choke off competition in web search.

Now, Huberty states that stronger licensing revenue is the primary driver of raised estimates for Apple, including an acceleration in the search traffic-related payments Appler receives from Google.

The NYT stated that Apple receives an estimated $8-12 billion per year in exchange for making Google the default search engine across iOS devices. Huberty stated:

Vienna Talks Establish Working Groups to Find Path Back to Iran Nuclear Deal

Iran said the talks were 'constructive,' next meeting to be held Friday

Talks in Vienna between Iran and the remaining parties of the 2015 nuclear deal were held on Tuesday. US officials were also in the city and participated indirectly through intermediaries.

The two sides agreed to establish working groups of experts who will figure out how the US can return to the JCPOA. In-person talks between Iran and the JCPOA participants — Russia, China, Germany, the UK, and France — will be held again on Friday to discuss what the working groups come up with.

Two working groups will be meeting this week. One will focus on determining what sanctions the US needs to lift. The other will discuss the steps Iran needs to take to reduce the activity of its civilian nuclear program to comply with the limits set by the JCPOA.

“This is going to involve discussions about identifying the steps that the US has to take and identifying the steps that Iran is going to have to take,” said Robert Malley, President Biden’s special envoy to Iran.

Other parties that participated in Tuesday’s talks seem happy with the result. Abbas Araqchi, Iran’s chief negotiator, described the talks as “constructive.”

Enrique Mora, the EU’s chief coordinator who led the talks, echoed Araqchi’s comment. “Constructive Joint Commission meeting,” Mora wrote on Twitter. “There’s unity and ambition for a joint diplomatic process with two expert groups on nuclear implementation and sanctions lifting. As Coordinator I will intensify separate contacts here in Vienna with all relevant parties, including US.”

Russia’s representative who attended the talks said they got off to a “successful” start, although he gave no indication on what a timeline for a revival of the deal looks like. “How long? Nobody knows. The most important thing after today’s meeting of the Joint Commission is that practical work towards achieving this goal has started,” Mikhail Ulyanov, Russia’s envoy in Vienna, wrote on Twitter.

While the progress appears to be positive, the question now is if the Biden administration will accept a return to the original agreement in the face of domestic pressure not to, or if it will make unreasonable demands and waste the opportunity Tehran has presented.

The first week of witness testimony in Benjamin Netanyahu’s trial wrapped up Wednesday, with former Walla CEO Ilan Yeshua telling the court he was forced to take down a story from the news outlet about the prime minister’s wife, Sara, because it could have harmed his employer’s chances at receiving a regulatory favor from the premier.

Yeshua is a key witness in Case 4000, where the prime minister is accused of establishing an illegal quid pro quo with the owners of the Walla news website in which they gave him favorable coverage and he granted them regulatory favors.

The prosecution showed text messages sent to Yeshua from Shaul Elovitch, who controlled Walla through his telecommunications firm Bezeq, in which he was told, “Take [the article] down now. It’ll prevent me from getting permission for Yes. I’ll kill you.”

Yeshua explained that Elovitch was referring to a regulatory decision that he was waiting for from Netanyahu that would allow his company to purchase shares in the Yes television service provider. “At least that’s what I understood,” he added.

The Bezeq-Yes deal, which went ahead in 2015, was worth hundreds of millions of dollars to Elovitch, according to the state prosecution, and Netanyahu’s alleged intervention to approve it as communications minister was part of his illicit quid pro quid arrangement with Elovitch, according to the charges, under which Walla’s content was skewed to the prime minister’s requirements and he advanced Elovitch’s business interests.

The article Yeshua was ordered to take down was about a scandal at the time involving Sara Netanyahu and her treatment of a caretaker in the Prime Minister’s Residence.

Prosecutor Yehudit Tirosh asked how Yeshua understood Elovitch’s message, “I’ll kill you.”

“[It showed] the pressure he was under from the prime minister because of the article about Sara,” Yeshua said.

Ukraine redux: war, Russophobia and Pipelineistan

Ukraine and Russia may be on the brink of war – with dire consequences for the whole of Eurasia. Let’s cut to the chase, and plunge head-on into the fog of war.

On March 24, Ukrainian President Zelensky, for all practical purposes, signed a declaration of war against Russia, via decree No. 117/2021.

The decree establishes that retaking Crimea from Russia is now Kiev’s official policy. That’s exactly what prompted an array of Ukrainian battle tanks to be shipped east on flatbed rail cars, following the saturation of the Ukrainian army by the US with military equipment including unmanned aerial vehicles, electronic warfare systems, anti-tank systems and man-portable air defense systems (MANPADS).

More crucially, the Zelensky decree is the proof any subsequent war will have been prompted by Kiev, debunking the proverbial claims of “Russian aggression.” Crimea, since the referendum of March 2014, is part of the Russian Federation.

It was this (italics mine) de facto declaration of war, which Moscow took very seriously, that prompted the deployment of extra Russian forces to Crimea and closer to the Russian border with Donbass. Significantly, these include the crack 76th Guards Air Assault Brigade, known as the Pskov paratroopers and, according to an intel report quoted to me, capable of taking Ukraine in only six hours.

It certainly does not help that in early April US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, fresh from his former position as a board member of missile manufacturer Raytheon, called Zelensky to promise “unwavering US support for Ukraine’s sovereignty.” That ties in with Moscow’s interpretation that Zelensky would never have signed his decree without a green light from Washington.

Controlling the narrative

Sevastopol, already when I visited in December 2018, is one of the most heavily defended places on the planet, impervious even to a NATO attack. In his decree, Zelensky specifically identifies Sevastopol as a prime target.

Once again, we’re back to 2014 post-Maidan unfinished business.

To contain Russia, the US deep state/NATO combo needs to control the Black Sea – which, for all practical purposes, is now a Russian lake. And to control the Black Sea, they need to “neutralize” Crimea.

If any extra proof was necessary, it was provided by Zelensky himself on Tuesday this week in a phone call with NATO secretary-general and docile puppet Jens Stoltenberg.

Zelensky uttered the key phrase: “NATO is the only way to end the war in Donbass” – which means, in practice, NATO expanding its “presence” in the Black Sea. “Such a permanent presence should be a powerful deterrent to Russia, which continues the large-scale militarization of the region and hinders merchant shipping.”

All of these crucial developments are and will continue to be invisible to global public opinion when it comes to the predominant, hegemon-controlled narrative.

The deep state/NATO combo is imprinting 24/7 that whatever happens next is due to “Russian aggression.” Even if the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) launch a blitzkrieg against the Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics. (To do so against Sevastopol in Crimea would be certified mass suicide).

The Supreme Court Drops the Ball on Clinton Email Testimony

“This was the most significant Freedom of Information Act [FOIA] Request in American history … and the courts dropped the ball.”

As Fitton explained Friday, the Supreme Court has declined to take up Judicial Watch’s challenge to an appellate court ruling which Fitton has described as “protecting” Hillary Clinton. In fact, whereas DC District Court Judge Royce Lamberth granted Judicial Watch’s FOIA request, and ordered for Hillary Clinton’s deposition, Clinton “received extraordinary relief [from the appellate court] in a way that undermined the Freedom of Information Act.”

“Now it’s really outrageous,” Fitton stated. “Judicial Watch has engaged in significant historical work on the email scandal, but when the Supreme Court ratifies a decision that gives special protection to Hillary Clinton, it’s disturbing.” The case, however, “isn’t over,” according to Fitton. “We’re still fighting in the lower court for additional discovery that’s already been granted.”

As Fitton continued, “they [the State Department and Justice Department] knew about the Hillary Clinton scandal, but didn’t tell the American people, Judicial Watch, or the Courts.” The ongoing obstruction on the part of these agencies is what Fitton argues led Judge Lamberth, “who was outraged by all the misconduct,” to grant Judicial Watch “so much discovery.” As Fitton noted in the latest Judicial Watch Press Release on the matter:

“Hillary Clinton ignored the law but received special protection from both the courts and law enforcement. For countless Americans, this double standard of justice has destroyed confidence in the fair administration of justice. Americans would never have known about Hillary Clinton’s email and related pay for play scandals but for Judicial Watch’s diligence. We expect that the Biden State and Justice Departments will continue to protect her and cover up their own misconduct as we press for additional accountability through the courts.”

“It’s disappointing not to get Mrs. Clinton’s deposition,” Fitton noted. This was the most significant Freedom of Information Act case in American history … and the courts dropped the ball.” While this decision may come as a set-back to many, Fitton reminds viewers that Judicial Watch’s work on this case “is not over.” “The litigation will continue in the lower courts and we’re still going to be pursuing it. We’re not going be able to get Hillary Clinton to testify, but her top aide, Cheryl Mills is still supposed to testify, at least as of now.”

Encouragingly, Fitton concluded by stating that “the answer isn’t to despair. The answer is just to keep on working on behalf of the American people.”
