This is the recipe they use. They divide the population along some clear line and pamper and fawn over one side while harassing and persecuting the other.

Giving the wealth, promotions, land, and opportunities earned by the conscientious citizens to the bad actors until it reaches a boiling point.
Then you crack down on everyone and impose the objective all along. Dictatorship.
All these 'color revolutions' follow the same pattern. In racial homogenous countries, they'll use religion or language or cultural issues. In racially diverse ones they'll use it as it already comes with visible identifiers.

Anon, 1200 fpm descent at 180 kts isn't steep at all. In one minute the plane is moving forward 3.45 MILES or 18,216'. 1225/18216 is just under a 7% slope…likely to intercept the ILS and get onto its usually 3% slope. So if you're coming in from above it, you have to have a greater than 3% slope to intercept and the earlier the better.
