Obligatory jabs 'necessary in democratic society - The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) ruled

The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) on Thursday ruled that obligatory vaccinations can be seen as necessary in democratic societies, in a landmark judgement after a complaint brought by Czech families over compulsory jabs for children.

"The… measures could be regarded as being 'necessary in a democratic society'" the court said in its judgement, saying that the Czech health policy was consistent with the "best interests" of children.

"The objective has to be that every child is protected against serious diseases, through vaccination or by virtue of herd immunity," it added.

As a result, the court ruled there had been no violation of Article 8 on the right to respect for private life of the European Convention on Human Rights.

This is the first time that the ECHR has delivered a judgement about compulsory vaccination against childhood diseases. Experts say it could have implications for any policy of compulsory vaccinations against Covid-19 in the pandemic.

This judgement "reinforces the possibility of a compulsory vaccination under conditions of the current Covid-19 epidemic," Nicolas Hervieu, a legal expert specialising in the ECHR, told AFP.

In the Czech Republic, there is a general legal duty to vaccinate children against nine diseases, including diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough, hepatitis B and measles.

The case had been filed to the ECHR by Czech parents who were fined for failure to comply with this vaccination duty or whose children were denied admission to nursery school for the same reason.

The need for a large level of herd immunity to quell the Covid-19 pandemic has prompted debate about the need for possible compulsory vaccinations in the face of skepticism among some populations worldwide about immunization.

Philippines man dies 'after doing 300 squats for breaching Covid curfew

The 28-year-old was allegedly caught by village guards buying water after curfew.

A 28-year-old Philippines man has died after allegedly being forced by village guards to perform an exercise 300 times as a punishment for violating coronavirus quarantine, his family has said.

Darren Manaog Peñaredondo was caught buying drinking water after 6pm, allegedly in violation of the Covid curfew in the city of General Trias, in Cavite province, Rappler reported. The province is under “enhanced community quarantine status” which includes a curfew from 6pm to 5am.

Peñaredondo’s partner, Reichelyn Balce, told Rappler that Peñaredondo and another man who had allegedly violated Covid restrictions were “brought to the Plaza Malabon in front of the municipal hall. And then, they were told to do pumping exercises 100 times” on Thursday last week.

Authorities allegedly said the pair would be forced to repeat the exercises if they were not in sync and ultimately forced the pair to do the exercise – a pumping motion similar to squats – 300 times, Balce wrote in a Facebook post.

Peñaredondo arrived home at 8am the next day and could barely move without assistance because he was so tired, wrote Balce. Peñaredondo told Balce he had also fallen “several times” while performing the exercises.

“That whole day, he struggled to walk, he was just crawling,” she wrote. Later that day, he began having seizures and his heart stopped. He was revived briefly but died at around 10pm.

The city’s police chief, lieutenant colonel Marlo Nillo Solero, told Rappler that there was no such punishment for people who violated Covid restrictions. “Instead, we conduct lectures,” he said.

The city’s mayor, General Trias Mayor Antonio Ferrer, confirmed in a Facebook statement that an investigation was underway.

“Brother goodbye we love you so much,” Balce wrote. “We will not allow justice not to be given to your loss.”

The Philippine government extended a national lockdown by another week Monday after coronavirus infections started to overwhelm many hospitals in the capital and outlying regions.

The Philippines has reported more than 795,000 cases with 13,425 deaths, the highest totals in Southeast Asia after Indonesia.

Texas teen develops Guillain-Barre syndrome weeks after receiving first coronavirus vaccine dose

Wyatt McGlaun, a teenager from The Woodlands in Southeast Texas, is blaming his recent diagnosis of Guillain-Barre syndrome on the fact that he received his first dose of the Wuhan coronavirus(COVID-19) vaccine several weeks before.

Guillain-Barre is a very rare autoimmune condition that causes the body’s immune system to attack the nerves, Some of the signs and symptoms of this syndrome include weakness in the legs, an inability to walk and even paralysis. There is no cure for the condition, but there are treatments that can be taken to ease and reduce its symptoms. Many who are diagnosed can also recover and regain their ability to walk after several months of therapy and treatment.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has acknowledged that on certain occasions, “people have developed Guillain-Barre syndrome in the days or weeks after receiving certain vaccines.” The National Institutes of Health has also reported one case of Guillain-Barre in an 82-year-old woman who was diagnosed after receiving the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine.

The CDC has refused to confirm whether pre-existing autoimmune conditions such as Guillain-Barre can worsen after people receive the coronavirus vaccine. (Related: Scottish woman develops severe and painful rashes all over her body immediately after getting AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccine.)

South Koreans without vaccine passports will not be able to go to work and enter stores

The South Korean government has announced that it will require people in the country to use Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine passports. Any Korean that does not have a vaccine passport will not be able to go to work and enter stores to purchase necessities.

South Korean Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun announced on Tuesday, March 30, that the government will be rolling out a smartphone application by the end of April that will show a person’s vaccination status.

“The introduction of a vaccine passport or ‘green pass’ will only allow those who have been vaccinated to experience the recovery to their daily lives,” said Chung during an interagency meeting regarding the government’s response to the coronavirus.

According to Chung, the vaccine passport app has already been developed. It will use blockchain technology to protect individuals from potential identity theft. Around 850,000 people in South Korea have received at least one dose of the coronavirus vaccine since the country’s mass inoculation campaign began in late February. The country has planned to fully vaccinate 12 million people by the end of June and to achieve herd immunity by November.

On Thursday, April 1, South Korea expanded its vaccine rollout by beginning vaccinations for people aged 75 and older. People who signed up for the vaccine rollout will receive the one developed by Pfizer and BioNTech.

Vaccine hesitancy among Koreans is low, with more than 86 percent of the 3.5 million people eligible to receive the vaccine stating that they plan to take the shot.

Korean company developing vaccine passport for international travel

KT, South Korea’s largest telecommunications corporation, announced on Thursday that it will be developing a coronavirus passport for South Koreans who want to travel abroad.

This vaccine passport, known as a “digital health passport,” is being developed along with other coronavirus-related tech services in cooperation with the Incheon International Airport Corporation and Inha University Hospital.

According to KT, anyone who wants to travel abroad will visit a designated hospital to receive a coronavirus test. If they get a negative test result, they will be cleared for departure. Their test result will also be uploaded to a smartphone app that will issue the digital health passport for use at Incheon International as well as in any other airport.

KT said this smartphone app will also be able to carry other electronic documents needed for entry into certain countries for the added convenience of the user.

The telco company hopes that its digital health passport can sync up with all the other vaccine passport systems being developed in South Korea. It is also currently working with international airports to get the digital passport accepted.

South Korea will join other nations issuing coronavirus vaccine passports to fully immunized citizens.

Good news is people are waking up exponentially and words are spreading like a wild fire because they and their family have been injured. The nonstop riots in Portland didn't effect them, but the vaccine injury/death will.

People will demand to know why they have been lied to. Media can't stop this.
