You want to buy from someone who has the silver in stock. There is a lot of demand so sometimes they are taking orders for silver they don't actually have yet.

I used Schiff Gold for a larger purchase.

Bought some rounds from Texas Precious Metals and then have made smaller purchases of rounds and American Silver Eagles from a local (Houston) coin shop that also sells bouillon. The local shop actually had better premiums that any place online for American Silver Eagles.

All experiences were excellent but buying local is just less hassle.

Also, you want to check the premiums, what they charge over the actual price of silver.

When I ordered online, the biggest hassle was setting up a bank wire to pay for it. But shipping was free and it came quickly.
