'It's A Knockout' was one of the most popular Saturday evening TV shows in the 80's. I used to watch it as a kid. It was hilarious, teams dressed up in the most ridiculous costumes doing assault course style challenges, falling over etc.. It all seemed so innocent.
It's a Royal Knockout was a pretty big ratings pull for the show too. 'Dignified' royals lowering and degrading themselves in an attempt to show the UK that there were people after all. It was very popular at the time.
Stuart Hall was the presenter of the show and famous for laughing throughout each episode whilst trying to host.
