Daunte Wright Had Warrant Out For His Arrest For Attempted Aggravated Robbery Charges After Choking a Woman, Holding Her at Gunpoint For Money

20-year-old Daunte Wright was shot dead by a Brooklyn Center Police Officer Sunday night during a traffic stop for having expired tags.

Officers learned there was a warrant out for Daunte Wright’s arrest after they ran his information so they tried to cuff him.

Bodycam footage released on Monday showed that Daunte Wright resisted arrest and fled the scene.

Police were in the process of cuffing Wright when he broke free and jumped in his car.

The officer screamed, “Taser! Taser! Taser!” before she discharged her weapon.

Wright crashed his car after he tried to flee the scene.

Riots erupted all over the country Monday night in response to the shooting death of Daunte Wright after many falsely claimed he was pulled over because of his air freshener.

The media portrayed Wright as an innocent, young father, but he was a dangerous man who threatened to shoot a woman and had a warrant out for his arrest according to court papers obtained by The Daily Mail.

The court papers also reveal that online speculation that Wright may not have known about the warrant out for his arrest are false.

The Daily Mail reported:

Daunte Wright choked a woman and threatened to shoot her if she did not hand over $820 she had stuffed in her bra, court papers obtained by DailyMail.com allege.

Wright was due to face trial on a charge of attempted aggravated robbery – with a possible maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.

Charging papers say he and a second man, Emajay Driver went to a home shared by two women in Osseo, Minnesota ‘to party’ in December 2019. At the time, Wright was 19 and Driver was 18.

The women asked them to leave around 2.30 am on December 1, but they said they didn’t have a ride and the women – who are not identified in the court documents – allowed them to sleep on the floor.

In the morning, one of the women went to the bank to get her $820 rent money which she gave to the other woman and then left for work. As Wright, Driver and the second woman were leaving, Wright allegedly tried to hold up the woman.

‘The three of them were walking to the door to exit the apartment and defendant Wright turned around and blocked the door preventing victim from leaving,’ says the report, written by Osseo Police Officer Shane Mikkelson.

‘Defendant Wright then pulled a black handgun with silver trim out from either his right waistband or his right coat pocket and pointed it at victim and demanded the rent money,’ continued Mikkelson.

‘Victim said “Are you serious?” Defendant Wright replied: “Give me the f**king money, I know you have it.”

Boehner: Trump ‘Abused the Loyalty and Trust’ of His Voters — ‘No Evidence’ Election Was Stolen

Former House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) said Tuesday on CNN’s “The Lead” that former President Donald Trump “abused the loyalty and trust that his voters placed in him” by saying the 2020 presidential election was stolen.

Discussing Boehner’s new book, anchor Jake Tapper said, “In one sentences you say that Donald Trump pushed a quote, ‘bullshit lie that the election was stolen,’ and then you noted he incited the insurrection on January 6 for nothing more than, quote, ‘selfish reasons.'”

Boehner said, “Well, I’m still waiting for evidence to show up. The president was out there every day talking about the election being stolen and filing lawsuits. I’m waiting for the evidence, and sadly no evidence ever showed up. I think the president abused the loyalty and trust that his voters placed in him by not being honest with the American people about the outcome.”

22 Republican State Attorneys General Argue Congress Making D.C. a State Is Unconstitutional

Twenty-two Republican Attorneys General wrote a letter to Congress and the Biden administration, contending Washington, D.C. cannot become a state through legislation but only through a Constitutional amendment.

“If this Congress passes and President Biden signs this Act into law, we will use every legal tool at our disposal to defend the United States Constitution and the rights of our states from this unlawful effort to provide statehood to the District of Columbia,” Fox News reported.

“Accordingly, not only does Congress lack the authority to create an entirely new state out of the District, but it also does not have the authority to reduce the size of the District to the equivalent of a few federal buildings and surrounding parks,” the letter concluded.

The letter comes as Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) has introduced H.R. 51 to shrink the district while transitioning the vacated area into a state, dubbed the “State of Washington, Douglass Commonwealth.”

Republicans regard D.C. statehood as a naked power grab, and many legal scholars are confident the Supreme Court would strike down D.C. statehood as unconstitutional for the reasons these authorities have set forth over the years.

For instance, the Office of Legal Council in 2007 said it was unconstitutional when Democrats attempted to give D.C. voting power in Congress without making it a full state. The Justice Department of former President Carter and former President Reagan believed the conversion of Washington D.C. into a state was unconstitutional, along with Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy—a Democrat—who also said in 1963 a similar proposal was unconstitutional.

Moreover, Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, when he was sitting on the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals, opposed such a measure, saying, “It is … fanciful to consider as ‘politically powerless’ a city whose residents include a high proportion of the officers of all three branches of the federal government and their staffs.”

The Heritage Foundation also points to three arguments against H.R. 51:

Our nation’s capital was always meant to be unique. The founders wanted it to be a federal district, existing beyond the confines or influence of any one state.

H.R. 51 would require Congress to ignore the plain command of the 23rd Amendment.

Even those who support D.C. statehood admit district residents enjoy special benefits due to where they live and would enjoy an outsize influence in Congress.

The bill will be considered Wednesday in a House Oversight Committee hearing before a potential House vote the following week. 215 Democrat members have co-sponsored the bill.

The states which joined the letter were South Carolina, Georgia, Louisiana, South Dakota, North Dakota, Texas, Utah, Florida, Alabama, Missouri, Indiana, Arkansas, Montana, Nebraska, Ohio, Kentucky, Mississippi, West Virginia, Idaho, Kansas, Arizona, and Oklahoma.

Kenosha officer who shot Jacob Blake will not face discipline and has returned to duty: Police chief

Chief Daniel Miskinis says 'the only lawful and appropriate decision was made'

The Kenosha, Wisconsin, police officer who shot Jacob Blake — a black man who was shot seven times in the back and paralyzed from the waist down during an altercation with law enforcement last summer — is back on the job.

Kenosha Police Department Chief Daniel Miskinis says multiple investigations have cleared Officer Rusten Sheskey of any wrongdoing in the August incident, and the officer has returned to duty.

What are the details?

Miskinis issued a statement Tuesday saying that according to an internal review, Sheskey "was found to have been acting within policy and will not be subjected to discipline" over the high-profile case, adding that the officer had returned from administrative leave on March 31.

"Although this incident has been reviewed at multiple levels, I know that some will not be pleased with the outcome," Miskinis wrote, "however, given the facts, the only lawful and appropriate decision was made."

The chief also pointed out that Sheskey had already been cleared of wrongdoing by an outside agency, an independent expert, and the Kenosha County district attorney.

In January, Kenosha DA Michael Graveley announced that neither Sheskey or any other officers involved would face charges over the incident with Blake, whose shooting sparked more than a week of protests over racial justice in the city that descended into violence.

Graveley said at the time, "If you don't believe you can prove a case beyond a reasonable doubt, you have an ethical obligation not to issue charges," noting that the officers involved had a strong case for self-defense.

The altercation with Blake began after authorities were called to the residence of a woman who was reportedly Blake's ex-girlfriend, who claimed Blake was attempting to steal her vehicle.

She had accused him of sexually assaulting her in May.

Video of the Aug. 23 run-in with police shows officers approaching Blake as he walks away from them to get in a vehicle, where his children were inside. Blake was armed with a knife, and an attorney for Sheskey later explained that the officer believed Blake might harm him or the children in the car.

Blake admitted in a January interview with host Michael Strahan on "Good Morning America" that he was armed with a knife, but that his intention was to "put the knife in the SUV and then lay on the ground to submit to the police officers."

NBC News reported that Blake filed a federal complaint against Sheskey last month, seeking unspecified damages.

DOJ discloses operation to counter cyber breaches involving Microsoft software

"Today's operation removed one early hacking group's remaining web shells, which could have been used to maintain and escalate persistent, unauthorized access to U.S. networks," according to the DOJ.

The U.S. Department of Justice on Tuesday revealed a court-authorized operation to counter cyber breaches regarding computers running on-premises types of Microsoft Exchange Server software.

The effort involved copying and removing web shells from hundreds of computers in America, according to the Justice Department.

"Through January and February 2021, certain hacking groups exploited zero-day vulnerabilities in Microsoft Exchange Server software to access e-mail accounts and place web shells (which are pieces of code or scripts that enable remote administration) for continued access," the DOJ said. "Other hacking groups followed suit starting in early March after the vulnerability and patch were publicized. Although many infected system owners successfully removed the web shells from thousands of computers, others appeared unable to do so, and hundreds of such web shells persisted unmitigated.

"Today's operation removed one early hacking group's remaining web shells, which could have been used to maintain and escalate persistent, unauthorized access to U.S. networks. The FBI conducted the removal by issuing a command through the web shell to the server, which was designed to cause the server to delete only the web shell (identified by its unique file path)."

The department noted that the operation did not seek out or eliminate any other malware that hackers could have potentially inserted on breached networks.

"Although today's operation was successful in copying and removing those web shells, it did not patch any Microsoft Exchange Server zero-day vulnerabilities or search for or remove any additional malware or hacking tools that hacking groups may have placed on victim networks by exploiting the web shells. The Department strongly encourages network defenders to review Microsoft's remediation guidance and the March 10, 2021 Joint Advisory for further guidance on detection and patching," the Justice Department noted.
