It feels like people are just in a holding pattern, waiting with baited breath for….something. Even if they don’t know what’s going on, they know things are off.
Glad you feel the “pause” too, so I don’t feel crazy. Without getting all woo woo, I sense people’s emotions. It’s just this really weird time in people’s lives, I get the sense.
What I’ve started doing is concentrating on more local politics/issues, things I have a say in. Like the saying goes, “wait until the people who want to be left alone, get involved”.

My line of work (medical transcription) is offshoring more and more as records move to more editing - doctors use Dragon or similar to dictate - less typing by us. My company is using India more and more. I’m quitting the industry entirely soon. Anons should be concerned with who can see their medical history.

I am the gatekeeper. It would curl your hair to know of the errors I’ve corrected or flagged over the years. Doctors are huge fuck-ups sometimes and lack of sleep can turn a med dosage from 0.1 to 0.01 mg in the blink of an eye by an untrained MT or AI which might not catch it.
Demand your records and insist they’re correct. Question everything that looks out of place.. be an advocate for your loved ones too.
