CHICAGO— A live grenade was found in a lunch bag on the West Side Tuesday morning, officials said.
The Chicago Police Department bomb squad received a report of a suspicious package at around 9:30 a.m. in the 5000 block of West Madison Street. The bomb squad determined there was a live grenade in the empty lot and secured the area, according to police spokesperson Sally Bown.
