I can vouch for that. I had a disease for 20 years that went undiagnosed by doctors. First they just ignored me and brushed me off. Then when I kept complaining, they finally did a bunch of tests. About 5 doctors later, I finally got a diagnosis. Then I had to search for a doctor who could actually do something about it.
