A disease is not diagnosed with a simple lab test. We have been habituated via the HIV nonsense to believe that being "positive" for some snippet of genetic material is terribly important.

A disease is represented by a group of symptoms and signs, some of which can be noticed via lab values. However, it takes a skilled man or woman, a physician to look at the cluster of symptoms and signs and come up with a likely diagnosis.

Locking people up based on a lab value is horse excrement.

Quarantines are for people diagnosed with serious contagious illnesses. If you have no symptoms, you are not sick. If your symptoms are non-specific and represent what is typical for a cold or flu you do not have a "plague" level disease that warrants locking you up, imo.

If you have suppurating sores, buboes in armpits and blood coming from eyes, etc. perhaps you should be quarantined. If you can't smell 'cause you have hay fever you should not.

If you have a serious disorder in which you think it your business to "lock people down" because they have the sniffles or because your political party is not doing well with their senile candidate you should be permanently "quarantined" in maximum security prison as your dementia is causing world wide suffering.
