Every other member except the U.S. is a member of the British Commonwealth, anon. Canada recently changed in that they no longer pledge allegience to the Queen (yes, there's still debate about that)

of course the United Kingdom are the same.
Maybe the United States has been for a long time, too, and we're just figuring it out.
We're the colony that got away, you know. That's why so many presidents have come from the line of the English kings. They want our money.
That pesky taxing thing keeps coming up.
Oh, btw, I read here this morning that in a couple of years, after the midterm, there won't be an income tax. We are getting a national sales tax. A VAT. Taxing consumption.
Won't that be great?
