Before you can determine whether or not something is biblical, you should first read said bible.
I recommend starting at the end, as it contains important context for the formulation of the biblical scripture.
Do not read as the priests cite - jumping through books and chapters just to mine a single line of text and place it into context mined from elsewhere. Read and understand each segment. Particularly, as I indicated, the end. Revelation.
The process outlined in revelation is that the beast arises, gains control over the earth for a thousand years, and is worshipped by all. In the text, it is cautioned that some has happened, is happening, and the rest is yet to come at the time the author is writing. It is a book describing the future through metaphorical symbolism.
However, if we are to be understood to be at the times of imminent victory - then it means the world is and has been ruled by the beast in its entirety and all of humanity has worshipped a blaspheme.
Effectively.
If you are having difficulty understanding that, then you can understand why it js the beast rules for so long.
If we are at the time of the rise of the beast - then I find no description of a rapture. Those of us who refuse to worship it will die as we live and our children will be raised as the thrawl of the beast in time - and supposedly god will win after the total subjugation of humanity at some point in the future.
I plan to live free and die hard (hur hur). And as such prefer the perception that the world has been ruled by the beast and its many heads - with victory against it relatively imminent. Though I suppose there are others who will rationalize their decision to die by believing they will be vindicated by god in the end. Personally, I find that to be a cop out… But it's also my belief that the beast has distorted all religions into cults revolving around death rather than life.
