Not sure who would trust Walz, but my guess is the the suburban women are starting to turn on him and he needs to keep the riots from affecting his a vital pole in his big tent. He is up for re election next year and the urban core is probably not enough to keep him in office. Women who consider themselves centrist are fickle when while they are happy to push and eat up Diversity Equity and Inclusion bs at work, when the fallout gets close to their backyard, they are quick to run to authorities to protect themselves.
On the other hand, the urban core woke pole of Walz tent is is going to be hopping mad about the NG suppressing riots. They probably will vote for him either way, and the vote rigging could be used to bolster an unenthusiastic turn out, but the fact that the urban center has become a war zone under his watch is not going to help his argument that he has done anything to fix the problems they are so desperate to fix. Appointing BIPOCs to heads of most departments should have resulted in some measurable gains for their woke communities, but instead poverty and chaos abounds.
