B.C. father gets 6 month prison sentence after speaking against trans child's hormone treatments

It appears a shocking new precedent has just been set by the Supreme Court of British Columbia. On Friday, Justice Michael Tammen sentenced a B.C. father to a whopping six month prison term, plus a $30,000 fine, payable to Ronald MacDonald House Charities.

The six month term meant that the father is to spend another 134 days behind bars, in addition to time served awaiting his trial without bail.

The stiff sentence came after the B.C. father, known simply as C.D. because of a publication ban, plead guilty to contempt of court for breaching orders that restricted how much he could inform the public about his case, A.B. vs. C.D.

The A.B. vs. C.D. case was about the father's inability to prevent the medical transitioning, and almost certain sterilization, of his child without his consent.

The case has gained international attention due to it’s unprecedented nature, which included a now expired protection order issued by Justice Francesca Marzar that restricted the father from referring to his biologically female child, who now identifies as a transgender boy, as a “she”, because doing so would be considered “family violence.”

Many of the bans that were designed to silence C.D. from speaking out about key details regarding the case also silence Canadian press from informing the public about matters of public interest. For example, the names of the doctors involved in the child’s medical transitioning by use of cross sex hormone treatments, which are linked to long term health issues and permanent sterility.

C.D. partook in various media interviews, some which were in breach of the bans for reasons he repeatedly explained as being what he believed was best for his child. He state his goal was to warn other parents about key players and systems like the controversial gender theory school curriculum called SOGI 123 that he believed influenced his child’s rapid onset gender dysphoria.

Justice Tammen showed no mercy with such reasoning in his court room.

Justice Tammen also made it known that the final statement provided by C.D. — which came shortly after the justice made it known he felt the 45 day jail time that was proposed from both counsels was, in his opinion “woefully inadequate — helped mitigate the length of his sentence.

Texas House Passes Bill Eliminating Training, Background Check Requirements for Carrying a Gun

The bill, which is now headed to the GOP-controlled state Senate, progresses in the wake of a new wave of gun violence in the US and numerous mass shooting incidents that have taken place over the last month.

Texas' state House has voted 84-56 in favour of a bill, dubbed "Constitutional Carry", that would eliminate the requirement to pass background checks and receive firearms training in order to own and carry (including conceal carry) a gun in the state. It will thus ease access to firearms for all state citizens over 21-years-old if it passes the Republican-dominated state Senate.

Seven Democrats were among the 84 lawmakers who voted in favour of the bill, while the rest of the blue party opposed the initiative. At the same time, one GOP member, Morgan Meyer, also voted against the proposed law.

The voting took place following several hours of heated debate during which the opponents of the bill tried to persuade fellow Texas House members to reconsider their position.

Although the bill still faces a vote in the state Senate, it has already drawn ire from proponents of stricter gun laws. Former Texas House member, Democrat Beto O'Rourke, called on lawmakers to pass "common-sense gun laws" in the state. At the same time, Texas would not be the first state in the US to pass such a law – 13 other states have adopted similarly lax gun legislation so far.

The bill's progress in Texas' legislature comes in the wake of a spate of mass shootings in the US. Just this week, a person armed with two legally acquired assault rifles killed eight people at a FedEx facility in Indianapolis. Earlier this month, Texas itself became a victim of a mass shooting, when a man killed one and injured five at a cabinet company in the city of Bryan.

Following several episodes of deadly mass shootings this year, US President Joe Biden came up with an initiative to resurrect a federal assault weapons ban, which functioned between 1994 and 2004 and had a limited impact on the number and lethality of mass shootings in the US. In 1999, when the law was still in place, two students of Columbine High School in Columbine, Colorado killed 13 people and injured 24 more using a pistol, a carbine and two shotguns, which they bought illegally while being underage.

Ted Cruz Accuses Carpetbagging Maxine Waters of Inciting Riots in Minnesota

California Congresswoman Maxine Waters already has form for inciting supporters to go beyond peaceful protests. In 2018 she told opponents of then-president Donald Trump to harass federal government officials in public places and outside their homes until they resigned their jobs.

Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz has accused Democrat California Congresswoman Maxine Waters of "inciting riots and violence" after she told protesters in Minnesota to ignore curfews.

Waters travelled over 1,000 miles to the town of Brooklyn Center in the midwestern state to attend Saturday night protests over this week's fatal police shooting of young black man Daunte Wright.

"We gotta stay on the street,' Waters said, telling Black Live Matter (BLM) protesters "to get more confrontational" with authorities.

Cruz, who has led the charge in in holding President Joe Biden to account for the illegal immigration crisis in his and other states on the Mexican border, said Democrats were trying to "tear apart" the country by encouraging unrest.

Waters also appeared to be seeking to influence the jury in Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin's trial on charges of the second- and third-degree murder of black man George Floyd.

"We're looking for a guilty verdict", she told protesters. “And we’re looking to see if all of the talk that took place and has been taking place after they saw what happened to George Floyd, if nothing does not happen, then we know that we’ve got to not only stay in the street, but we’ve got to fight for justice.”

​Floyd's death in March 2020 — as Chauvin and three other officers pinned him down after he violently resisted arrest — sparked a wave of BLM protests and rioting by anarchist 'antifa' groupings that coincided with the presidential election campaign between Biden and then-president Donald Trump.

Wright, who was wanted for a firearms possession offence, was shot as he tried to escape arrest in his car after being pulled over by a patrol car. Policewoman Kim Potter, who fired the fatal shot after apparently mistaking her handgun for a taser stun-gun, resigned this week and has now been charged with manslaughter following days of violent protests over the shooting.

Waters has previously been accused of inciting criminal behaviour after she told fellow opponents of Trump to harass government officials in restaurants and at their homes in a bid to force them to quit their jobs.

SOUTH BEND, Indiana, April 16, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) — One day prior to opening a large “clinic” on campus to provide students with the opportunity to receive injections of the experimental Pfizer mRNA COVID-19 vaccine, the University of Notre Dame’s executive officers, including President Father John Jenkins, sent a letter to the campus community announcing that all students returning to campus for the fall 2021 semester will be required, with some standard exceptions, “to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.”

“The safety of the University and local communities is always our highest priority,” Jenkins said. And thus, the Notre Dame administration went to the trouble to make the free two-shot injections available to everyone on campus with two scheduled intervals in April and May.

Suggesting an equivalence with this mandate, the report goes on to indicate that Notre Dame already “requires enrolled students to be immunized for hepatitis B, meningitis, measles, mumps, rubella, tetanus and chicken pox,” again, with standard exceptions.

However, when it comes to the currently available COVID-19 injections, there is little equivalence with these other vaccines, as the former do not enjoy approval from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) but are only made available under an “Emergency Use Authorization” (EUA). This means these biological agents are merely “experimental,” and thus investigational studies regarding their safety and effectiveness continue.

As explained by Dr. Simone Gold of America’s Frontline Doctors (AFLDS), “If you take the [COVID-19] vaccine” you are not receiving an FDA approved treatment, but this “means you have enrolled yourself in a medical trial … [and] most people are not aware that that’s what they’re doing.”

Following the tragedies of World War II when the Nuremberg hearings revealed that Nazi doctors had forced or coerced prisoners of war and others into abusive and even deadly human experimentation, leading to convictions and executions, the court helped create the Nuremberg Code of 1947 which established broadly recognized international norms for ethical experimentation on human subjects.

The Code’s first and most extensive principle provides the strict conditions for establishing voluntary consent from those submitting to human experimentation, including that the individual may not be exposed to “any element of force, fraud, deceit, duress, overreaching, or other ulterior form of constraint or coercion.”

To coerce means “to compel by force, intimidation, or authority, especially without regard for individual desire or volition.”

Pompous Fauci Attacks Jim Jordan, Says Mask Mandates, Endless Lockdowns and Vaccine Passports Have Nothing to do with Restricting Civil Liberties

Congressman Jim Jordan (R-OH) ripped Fauci apart last Thursday for flip-flopping on Covid mitigation measures.

Rep. Jordan, the ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee, demanded Fauci give him a date for the end of Covid restrictions.

“15 days to slow the spread turned into 1 year of lost liberty,” Jim Jordan said.

To no one’s surprise, Fauci, an unelected, overpaid bureaucrat, said: “I don’t look at this as a liberty thing, Congressman Jordan. I look at this as a public health thing.”

Fauci appeared on CNN’s “State of the Union” on Sunday and attacked Jim Jordan again.

Dr. Fauci told CNN host Dana Bash that endless lockdowns, vaccine passports and mask mandates has nothing to do with restricting liberties.

“But it was very, very clear that [Jim Jordan} was talking about liberties that were being restricted. This has nothing to do with liberties,” Fauci said.

Of course it’s a civil liberties issue.

Fauci also attacked people who refuse to get the experimental Covid vaccine.

“It’s almost paradoxical, that on the one hand, they want to be relieved of the restrictions, but on the other hand, they don’t want to be vaccinated,” Fauci said asserting only vaccinated Americans have the right to move around freely.

Ontario goes communist: Checkpoints at borders, Churches restricted, playgrounds closed

'We have implemented the strictest measures in all of North America,' Premier Doug Ford said. 'Understand the restrictions will be strongly, strongly enforced.'

TORONTO, Canada, April 16, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) – Using modeling predictions that have historically proven to be unreliable, the government of Ontario added two more weeks to the already month-long stay-at-home order while burdening citizens with additional restrictive measures that include a 10-person limit at church services, cracking down on travel, closing playgrounds, and stepping up enforcement of rules already in place.

“We have implemented the strictest measures in all of North America,” Premier Doug Ford said this afternoon during a press conference at Queen’s Park where he announced the measures that come into effect on Saturday, April 17 just after midnight.

Places of worship will be capped at a maximum of 10 people indoors, beginning Monday.

Checkpoints will be set up at all of the province’s interprovincial borders with Quebec and Manitoba to clamp down on people trying to enter the province. It is unclear if the new measures will be able to withstand a challenge based on the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms that grants “mobility rights” to citizens.

Big box retail stores will be reduced to operating at 25 percent capacity and playgrounds, basketball courts, golf courts, soccer fields will be closed down.

Ford made it clear that those who do not follow the rules will experience the iron fist of the law.

Gates Unhinged: Dystopian Vision for Agrifood Must Not Succeed

We are currently seeing an acceleration of the corporate consolidation of the entire global agrifood chain. The high-tech/data conglomerates, including Amazon, Microsoft, Facebook and Google, have joined traditional agribusiness giants, such as Corteva, Bayer, Cargill and Syngenta, in a quest to impose a certain type of agriculture and food production on the world.

The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is also involved (documented in the recent report ‘Gates to a Global Empire‘ by Navdanya International), whether through buying up huge tracts of farmland, promoting a much-heralded (but failed) ‘green revolution’ for Africa, pushing biosynthetic food and new genetic engineering technologies or more generally facilitating the aims of the mega agrifood corporations.

Of course, those involved in this portray what they are doing as some kind of humanitarian endeavour – saving the planet with ‘climate-friendly solutions’, helping farmers or feeding the world. This is how many of them probably do genuinely regard their role inside their corporate echo chamber. But what they are really doing is repackaging the dispossessive strategies of imperialism as ‘feeding the world’.

Failed Green Revolution

Since the Green Revolution, US agribusiness and financial institutions like the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund have sought to hook farmers and nation states on corporate seeds and proprietary inputs as well as loans to construct the type of agri infrastructure that chemical-intensive farming requires.

Monsanto-Bayer and other agribusiness concerns have since the 1990s been attempting to further consolidate their grip on global agriculture and farmers’ corporate dependency with the rollout of genetically engineered seeds, commonly known as GMOs (genetically modified organisms).

In her latest report, ‘Reclaim the Seed’, Vandana Shiva says:

“In the 1980s, the chemical corporations started to look at genetic engineering and patenting of seed as new sources of super profits. They took farmers varieties from the public gene banks, tinkered with the seed through conventional breeding or genetic engineering, and took patents.”

Shiva talks about the Green Revolution and seed colonialism and the pirating of farmers seeds and knowledge. She says that 768,576 accessions of seeds were taken from farmers in Mexico alone:

“… taking the farmers seeds that embodies their creativity and knowledge of breeding. The ‘civilising mission’ of Seed Colonisation is the declaration that farmers are ‘primitive’ and the varieties they have bred are ‘primitive’, ‘inferior’, ‘low yielding’ and have to be ‘substituted’ and ‘replaced’ with superior seeds from a superior race of breeders, so called ‘modern varieties’ and ‘improved varieties’ bred for chemicals.”

It is now clear that the Green Revolution has been a failure in terms of its devastating environmental impacts, the undermining of highly productive traditional low-input agriculture and its sound ecological footing, the displacement of rural populations and the adverse impacts on village communities, nutrition, health and regional food security.

Aside from various studies that have reported on the health impacts of chemical-dependent crops (Dr Rosemary Mason’s many reports on this can be accessed on the academia.edu website), ‘New Histories of the Green Revolution’ (2019) debunks the claim that the Green Revolution boosted productivity; ‘The Violence of the Green Revolution’ (1991) details (among other things) the impact on rural communities; Bhaskar Save’s open letter to Indian officials in 2006 discusses the ecological devastation of the Green Revolution and in a 2019 paper in the Journal of Experimental Biology and Agricultural Sciences, Parvez et al note that native wheat varieties in India have higher nutrition content than the Green Revolution varieties (many such crop varieties were side-lined in favour of corporate seeds that were of lower nutritional value).

Barack Obama is one of many who have declared an “epistemological crisis,” in which our society is losing its handle on something called truth.

Thus an interesting experiment will be his and other Democrats’ response to a book by Steven Koonin, who was chief scientist of the Obama Energy Department. Mr. Koonin argues not against current climate science but that what the media and politicians and activists say about climate science has drifted so far out of touch with the actual science as to be absurdly, demonstrably false.

Mr. Koonin is a Brooklyn-born math whiz and theoretical physicist, a product of New York’s selective Stuyvesant High School. He would teach at Caltech for nearly three decades, serving as provost in charge of setting the scientific agenda for one of the country’s premier scientific institutions. Along the way he opened himself to the world beyond the lab.

From deeply examining the world’s energy system, he also became convinced that the real climate crisis was a crisis of political and scientific candor. He went to his boss and said, “John, the world isn’t going to be able to reduce emissions enough to make much difference.”

His thoughts seem to be governed by an all-embracing realism. Hence the book coming out next month, “Unsettled: What Climate Science Tells Us, What It Doesn’t, and Why It Matters.”

“I’ve been building models and watching others build models for 45 years,” he says. Climate models “are not to the standard you would trust your life to or even your trillions of dollars to.” Younger scientists in particular lose sight of the difference between reality and simulation:

For the record, Mr. Koonin agrees that the world has warmed by 1 degree Celsius since 1900 and will warm by another degree this century, placing him near the middle of the consensus. Neither he nor most economic studies have seen anything in the offing that would justify the rapid and wholesale abandoning of fossil fuels, even if China, India, Brazil, Indonesia and others could be dissuaded from pursuing prosperity.

The public now believes CO2 is something that can be turned up and down, but about 40% of the CO2 emitted a century ago remains in the atmosphere. Any warming it causes emerges slowly, so any benefit of reducing emissions would be small and distant. Everything Mr. Koonin and others see in the science suggests a slow, modest effect, not a runaway warming. If they’re wrong, we don’t have tools to apply yet anyway. Decades from now, we might have carbon capture—removing CO2 directly from the atmosphere at a manageable cost.

Even John Kerry, Joe Biden’s climate czar, recently admitted that Mr. Biden’s “net-zero” climate plan will have zero effect on the climate if developing countries don’t go along (and they have little incentive to do so). Mr. Koonin hopes that “a graceful out for everybody” will be to see the impulse for global climate regulation “morph into much more impactful local environmental action: smog, plastic, green jobs. Forget the global aspect of this.”

Trump Condemns Biden's Delay in Ending Afghan War to 9/11

Former US secretary of state Mike Pompeo signed the peace agreement with the Afghan Taliban on behalf of the Trump administration on February 29, 2020. But new president Joe Biden has already broken the terms of the deal by delaying the US troop pull-out until September 11, the 20th anniversary of the terror attacks that prompted the US invasion.

Former US president Donald Trump has laid into his successor Joe Biden's delay in withdrawing troops from Afghanistan to September 11 this year.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the property tycoon laid out his reasons why postponing the pull-out was a mistake.

"First, we can and should get out earlier. Nineteen years is enough, in fact, far too much and way too long," Trump said.

"I made early withdraw possible by already pulling much of our billions of dollars of equipment out and, more importantly, reducing our military presence to less than 2,000 troops from the 16,000 level that was there," he stressed.

​Native New Yorker Trump also objected to Biden conflating the solemn 20th anniversary of the World Trade Centre suicide airliner attacks by Saudi al-Qaeda terrorists with the "wonderful and positive" peace deal.

"September 11th represents a very sad event and period for our Country and should remain a day of reflection and remembrance honoring those great souls we lost. Getting out of Afghanistan is a wonderful and positive thing to do," he said.

Trump also criticised his successor for reneging on the peace treaty his own administration agreed with the Taliban, under which all US forces were meant to leave the country by May 1st this year.

"I planned to withdraw on May 1st, and we should keep as close to that schedule as possible," he insisted.

Biden claimed at his belated first press conference as president in March that sticking to the May 1 deadline would be "tough" — even as new Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin focuses on purging right-wingers from the military.

Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said on Friday that the US might actually deploy more forces to Afghanistan ahead of the delayed pull-out, while a senior government official told the media that Washington will maintain enough "military and intelligence capabilities" in and around the country to strike at the al-Qaeda terrorist group if it re-emerges.

But the Taliban has warned it will cease to observe the ceasefire and resume attacks on foreign troops if they stay beyond May 1.
