7-year-old girl killed, man seriously hurt in shooting at McDonald’s in Homan Square
The man, 29, and girl were in a car about 4:20 p.m. in a McDonald’s parking lot in the 3200 block of West Roosevelt Road when they were shot, Chicago police said. A McDonald’s employee, who asked not to be named, said two people got out of a gray car in the drive-thru and started shooting at the victim’s car.
The girl was shot repeatedly and was transported by police officers to Stroger Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, police said.
The man was shot in the torso and also taken to Stroger, where his condition was listed as serious, police said.
It was not immediately clear the relationship between the man and the girl.
No arrests have been made.
