Laura didn't have to sell the oil/gas lease, was she whining when the royalty payments were coming in? Did she get a cheap land deal with Grandfathered rights? If those wells were producing would Laura have anything to say about the environmental situation? Was Laura in for a cheap buck too? Plenty of blame to go around IMO.

Well that sucks & presumably those rights have been owned by the usual suspects forever. Old movie about "where I come from" called Boom Town. They pollute everything they touch, move on to greener pastures and destroy that too, scorched earth policy goes way back.
