2 from California found dead in plane crash near Williams
ARIZONA-Two people were found dead early Monday in a plane that crashed near Williams, according to a news release from the Coconino County Sheriff's Office.
The Sheriff's Office said it received a report at about 6 p.m. Sunday about a plane from Vista, California that was "overdue."
A family member of one of the plane's two occupants said the pair had not reported for work as scheduled on Sunday, the Sheriff's Office said. The occupants were identified by the Sheriff's Office as Timothy Michael Gill, 37, and Joylani Roseann Kamalu, 38, both of Vista, California.
An Arizona Department of Public Safety Air Rescue helicopter at about 1:40 a.m. Monday found the plane crashed in a wooded area near the Williams airport, the Sheriff's Office said.
The two occupants were also found dead in the plane, according to the Sheriff's Office.
