In addition to the connections to corrupt individuals and politicians, we have uncovered one of her relationships that should force her to recuse herself from activities surrounding the Senate’s audit of Maricopa County’s 2020 election results.

A shocking connection has been uncovered between Katie Hobbs and one of the attorneys who signed that Perkins Coie, et.al., April 6 e-demand letter.

That lawyer is Roopali Desai from the Phoenix law firm of Coppersmith Brockelman, whose bio states she “heads the firm’s Election and Political Law group and is the leading election lawyer in Arizona … including bringing and defending election challenges.” She has served on the board of the AZ chapter of the radical, far-left nonprofit, the ACLU for the last six years.

Desai is the very same attorney who represented SoS Hobbs in a case against the Trump Campaign in Maricopa County in November. The campaign wanted ballots in Maricopa examined and hand-counted. Howard Fischer in the Arizona Capitol Times stated that Desai accused the Trump campaign of having an ulterior motive in filing suit. She said it is trying to “present claims of fraud untethered from reliable and admissible evidence.”

“We Know That Police Violence Disproportionately Impacts Black People” – Psaki When Asked About Deadly Police Shooting of Knife-Wielding Ma’Kiyah Bryant

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki on Wednesday was asked about the officer-involved shooting death of 15-year-old Ma’Kiyah Bryant.

Columbus, Ohio – As reported earlier, officers were called to the 3100 block of Legion Lane just after 4:30 PM Tuesday for a stabbing and a shots fired call at 4:45 PM.

The police shot Ma’kiyah Bryant, a 15-year-old girl who was attempting to stab another person.

The police bodycam footage showed Makiyah Bryant attempting to stab someone as the officer acted swiftly and opened fire, fatally striking her.

Instead of defending the police officer for saving a teen’s life by acting quickly, Psaki immediately went into a diatribe about how police violence disproportionately impacts black and Hispanic people.

“Our focus is on working to address systemic racism and implicit bias head on,” Psaki said.

Not a word about Ma’Kayiah Bryant brandishing a knife and attempting to stab at least two people.

And, the reason that the Democrats are happy is because they realize, of course, the media supports them. And that now means, the Democrats can get whatever they want because they can create a narrative and they can treat people like pawns and get them to basically say, ‘If we don’t get what we want, we will riot, we will loot”. We will send these people out like soldiers to destroy your neighborhood. And that is exactly what has happened. That has been the determination of this trial.

China State Media Calls For Regulatory Investigation Into Tesla Brake Failures

It was just yesterday we pointed out how a protestor at the Shanghai Auto Show "went viral" after standing on top of a Tesla vehicle and decrying the car's brakes.

Now, Chinese state media is looking for answers.

Commentary by a CCTV broadcaster has called for an investigation into Tesla's brake failures following the incident.

The CCTV commentary "said the regulator could invite third-party testing agencies that both the customer and Tesla can trust to test the vehicles," according to a Reuters report on Tuesday. At the same time, it has been reported that one of China's largest insurers has temporarily stopped providing services for new Tesla owners after the incident.

it was reported by state media that an unknown owner of a TSLA car in southern China's Nanning parked their damaged car in front of a mall with banners claiming the vehicle accelerated automatically and had a brake failure (link)

NIO’s President officially called out TSLA’s “FSD” low adoption rate, seemingly also calling into question its safety, saying: “Car companies need to refine FOTA (Firmware Over-The-Air) before pushing out advanced autonomous driving to ensure the business model works properly” (link)

"These are 6 negative headlines, just overnight, in TSLA’s highest-growth car market of China. When you add to this credible allegations that the deciding US authority (i.e., the NHTSA) has used flawed data when investigating the safety of TSLA’s cars (link), it seems the conclusions made by China’s regulators in their investigations could yield a different result," Johnson wrote.

Recall, a protestor at the Auto Shanghai expo this week climbed on top of a Tesla Model 3 sedan and screamed in protest while wearing a t-shirt that said “The Brakes Don’t Work” and “Invisible Killer”. Video of the incident has caught fire in China and " hit a nerve in China, sending complaints about the company ricocheting across the Chinese internet," according to the Wall Street Journal.

The woman was eventually dragged away by security guards, but not after catching the attention of hundreds in the building - and millions more on the web. The hashtag of the incident was viewed by 150 million people on Weibo, WSJ reported.

US Postal Service Running 'Covert Operations Program' To Spy On Americans' Social Media Posts, Share With Agencies

The US Postal Service (USPS) has been running a secret program to track and collect Americans' social media posts - including those about planned protests, according to a document obtained by Yahoo News.

The surveillance program - operated by the law enforcement arm of the USPS, is known as iCOP or "Internet Covert Operations Program" - has not been previously made public according to the report.

The work involves having analysts trawl through social media sites to look for what the document describes as “inflammatory” postings and then sharing that information across government agencies. -Yahoo News

"Analysts with the United States Postal Inspection Service (USPIS) Internet Covert Operations Program (iCOP) monitored significant activity regarding planned protests occurring internationally and domestically on March 20, 2021," reads a government bulletin dated March 16, marked as "law enforcement sensitive" and distributed throughout the Department of Homeland Security's fusion centers.

"Locations and times have been identified for these protests, which are being distributed online across multiple social media platforms, to include right-wing leaning Parler and Telegram accounts."

The report cites intelligence that 'a number of groups were expected to gather in cities around the globe on March 20 as part of a World Wide Rally for Freedom and Democracy' against pandemic lockdown measures.

"Parler users have commented about their intent to use the rallies to engage in violence. Image 3 on the right is a screenshot from Parler indicating two users discussing the event as an opportunity to engage in a ‘fight’ and to ‘do serious damage,’" reads the bulletin," though it hedges with "No intelligence is available to suggest the legitimacy of these threats."

The bulletin includes screenshots of posts concerning the protests from Facebook, Parler, Telegram and other social media sites (only one of which - Parler - was 'canceled' by big tech).

"iCOP analysts are currently monitoring these social media channels for any potential threats stemming from the scheduled protests and will disseminate intelligence updates as needed," reads the bulletin.

Putin says Russia developing high-tech nuclear & laser weapons, warning ‘provocateurs’ will regret crossing country’s red lines

Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that the vast majority of the country’s Soviet-era atomic stockpile will soon be replaced by modern weapons, warning that Moscow is intent on defending itself against foreign aggression.

Speaking as part of his annual address to the Federal Assembly in Moscow on Wednesday, Putin said that his government “wants to have positive relationships with everyone on the international stage, including those with whom relations have broken down recently. We really don’t want to burn bridges.”

At the same time, however, he cautioned that “those who mistake this stance for weakness need to know that Russia’s response [to any aggression] will be asymmetrical, swift and harsh.” Those planning provocations, he said, “will regret their deeds in a way they have not regretted anything else for a long time.”

As part of the country’s plans to defend itself, he said, its stockpile of strategic weapons is currently being overhauled, updating older Soviet-era equipment in favor of next-generation technology, such as “hypersonic and laser” armaments.

Among the overhaul, he revealed that the advanced RS-28 Sarmat missile will be delivered to troops in the field from 2022. A heavy intercontinental ballistic rocket, it boasts up to 15 nuclear warheads which can be directed against individual targets and each deliver 350 kilotons of atomic hellfire. Ship-mounted missiles and other, “next-generation” projectiles are also slated for deployment in the near future.

According to the president, more than two-thirds of Russia’s military equipment will be “modern” at the end of the next three years, while more than 88% of nuclear weapons will be this year as well.

Putin also referenced the Peresvet, a secretive laser cannon that is said to have the potential to shoot down both enemy aircraft and incoming missiles. The weapon has reportedly already been deployed to installations across the country.

“We have patience, self-confidence and righteousness on our side,” Putin added. “I hope no one will think of crossing red lines in their relations with Russia. Where that line sits is ours to determine.”

The US is currently reportedly developing a $100 billion ground-based intercontinental ballistic missile system to replace its Cold War-era Minuteman-III rockets. However, it has come under criticism from experts, with the Federation of American Scientists arguing that the program has been driven by industry lobbying rather than a genuine need for the launch complex “in a post-Cold War security environment.”

Elections Integrity Org Identifies 12,547 Illegal Votes Included In Georgia’s 2020 Election Results – Exceeds Margin of Victory In the State

The people of Georgia need to stand up and demand their state’s House and Senate perform a real audit of the 2020 election results in their state looking at the validity of their votes using forensic analysis like Arizona is doing now.

We already have at least 355,000 invalid ballots in the state and today we can add another 12,000.

DoJ Launches Probe Into Use Of "Excessive Force" By Minneapolis Police

As about half of America celebrates the guilty verdict handed down yesterday by a jury to former Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin, Democrats are moving to exploit the moment for maximum political impact. Even as the department struggles to recruit enough officers to fill the places left by a wave of quitters and retirees, AG Merrick Garland announced Wednesday that he is launching a federal investigation into the Minneapolis Police Department.

The investigation will focus on identifying whether the Minneapolis Police Department "engages in a pattern or practice of using excessive force including during protests," Garland told a group of reporters on Wednesday during brief remarks at the DoJ.

As the NYT explains, so-called pattern-or-practice investigations are often the precursors to consent decrees, court-approved deals between the DoJ and local governments that create and enforce a road map for training and operational changes. The paper also noted that this new DoJ inquiry into the Minneapolis police department is different from the existing DoJ investigation into whether Officer Chauvin violated Floyd’s civil rights.

On Friday, Garland reversed a Trump era policy curbing the use of "consent decrees", which the Obama administration had repeatedly used as a tool to address police misconduct.

Meanwhile, critics have already emerged to point out that Chauvin likely has a path to getting the convictions tossed out on appeal. Constitutional Lawyer Jonathan Turley published a column in the Hill explaining exactly how that might happen. Turley's opinion largely focuses on remarks made by Congresswoman Maxine Waters, who traveled to Minneapolis to join the protesters ahead of the verdict.

Damage Below the Waters Line

Rep. Waters ignited a firestorm of controversy by flying to Minnesota to tell protesters to remain in the streets and fight for “justice,” to be “more confrontational,” despite days of rioting, looting and other violence. She said no verdict in the Chauvin trial would be accepted except a conviction for first-degree murder — a demand that might be a tad difficult to satisfy since Chauvin is not charged with first-degree murder. All of this as the jury literally headed off to deliberate.

Some of us immediately noted that Waters single-handedly succeeded in undermining not just the Chauvin case but her own case against former President Trump. Waters, one of several House members suing Trump for inciting violence on Jan. 6, is now his best witnesses against her lawsuit. Where she charged that Trump sought to incite violence and intimidate Congress, Waters is being denounced for inciting violence and intimidating the trial court.

One of those denouncing Waters was Judge Cahill, who declared in open court that “I wish elected officials would stop talking about this case, especially in a manner that is disrespectful to the rule of law and to the judicial branch and our function. If they want to give their opinions, they should do so … in a manner that is consistent with their oath to the Constitution.” Calling such comments “abhorrent,” Cahill added this haymaker: “I’ll give you that Congresswoman Waters may have given you something on appeal that may result in this whole trial being overturned.”

As chemical weapons watchdog’s credibility crumbles, OPCW member states strip Syria’s voting rights

Syria has been stripped of most of its rights at the global chemical weapons watchdog for alleged breaches. The OPCW stands accused of suppressing facts reported by its own inspectors in Syria for political purposes.

The vote to penalize Syria took place on Wednesday at the conference of the states that are parties to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) in The Hague. Syria was punished for allegedly violating the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC), of which the OCPW is the guardian, based on reports by the special Investigation and Identification Team (IIT).

The penalties were imposed at the proposal of France and backed by Western nations who helped pass it overwhelmingly by 87 to 15, with 34 abstentions out of 136 countries taking part.

The mechanism was created last year and was authorized to name perpetrators of chemical weapons attacks. It has on several occasions accused Syria of CWC infractions. Damascus sees the IIT as a “propaganda tool” used by countries seeking to topple its government, and says its reports cannot be considered scientific, as a Syrian representative said at the conference prior to the vote.

Oxygen leak kills 22 at Indian hospital as country battles short supplies amid record surge in Covid-19 cases

At least 22 people have died at a hospital in India's western Maharashtra state after an oxygen leak caused a serious disruption to patient supplies, the region's health minister has said.

Many Indian hospitals are already running short on oxygen supplies as the country battles a dramatic surge in Covid-19 infections, with a record 295,000 new cases and 2,000 deaths reported on Wednesday.

The leak occurred in the city of Nashik, which is among the areas in India hit hardest by the pandemic.

“Patients who were on ventilators at the hospital in Nashik have died,” Minister Rajesh Tope said in comments broadcast on Indian TV.

“The leakage was spotted at the tank supplying oxygen to these patients. The interrupted supply could be linked to the deaths of the patients in the hospital.”

Footage purportedly filmed at the scene and posted online showed people wearing masks amid thick white clouds billowing out of oxygen storage tanks on Wednesday morning.

Patients being supplied with oxygen are among the dead at the Dr Zakir Hussain Hospital in the Nashik district, local administrator Suraj Mandhare told reporters.

The hospital's supply was interrupted after a tanker leaked while the storage units were being filled.

A containment operation was launched, and Tope has announced a Maharashtra government investigation into the incident.

On Tuesday, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi admitted in a televised address that the oxygen supply situation in the country is currently a “problem.”

Modi spoke as some public hospitals in the capital Delhi said they had just eight to 24 hours' worth of oxygen left, while some private medical institutions said their supplies were down to five hours.

The neighboring state of Haryana has ordered police protection for all oxygen tankers amid reports of looting by some families fighting to save their sick relatives, according to Reuters.

The current spread of Covid-19 in India is thought to have been helped by an indigenous variant of the virus containing two mutations in its spike protein, which appear to make it more easily transmissible.

Search underway for Indonesian submarine missing north of Bali, 53 on board – military

An Indonesian submarine has gone missing following a navy drill in the Bali Sea, prompting fears that the vessel has sunk. There are 53 people on board, Indonesia’s military said.

National Armed Forces Commander Hadi Tjahjanto told reporters that the KRI Nanggala disappeared 95 km (60 miles) north of Bali. The vessel went missing northwest of the port town Singaraja and was in the area to conduct a torpedo drill, according to Janes, the defence intelligence information publisher.

The vessel was deemed to be “in distress after missing a scheduled reporting call,” Janes said.

The Indonestian military said the German-built submarine missed its reporting call at 3 a.m. on Wednesday, prompting the Navy (TNI-AL) to send out a distress call at 9:37 a.m., suggesting the vessel is missing and possibly sunk.

Local media said there were suggestions from the military that the vessel sank into a trough.

The TNI-AL has sent several warships to the area in its search of the vessel, according to Tjahjanto, but the country is also appealing to neighboring countries Australia and Singapore for help as they have vessels specifically for rescuing submarines.

Blair’s plan for saving AstraZeneca’s reputation: G7-led vaccine safety panel & no rollout pause to probe side effects

Tony Blair has some ideas on how to help out AstraZeneca in its PR crisis over blood clots. These include a supranational vaccine safety body and an instruction not to pause immunization to check possible side-effects.

A policy proposal published on Wednesday by the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change has lamented an increase in public hesitancy to take the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine against Covid-19, Vaxzevria. Several nations, including the UK, restricted its deployment to people over a certain age due to a possible link between the medicine and rare cases of potentially deadly blood clots in younger recipients.

The public reluctance “is completely wrong and unjustified” while the regulatory restrictions were based on “a narrow and unbalanced view of risk,” the former British prime minister wrote.

The policymakers in government need to grip this situation urgently and bring some coherence and logic to the issue of vaccine assessment. And do it globally.

The paper states that people who don’t want to get the jab are acting irrationally, possibly because they can’t compare the risk of side effects posed by different vaccines against Covid-19 between each other and other drugs. Britain, which has used both Vaxzevria and the vaccine developed by US-based giant Pfizer at large scale, is “in a unique position” to provide data for comparing health outcomes of people vaccinated by either of the two as well as those who didn’t get vaccinated at all.

The AstraZeneca vaccine is based on a time-tested adenovirus vector platform while the one offered by Pfizer uses relatively new mRNA technology. The paper suggests that the bad publicity that the UK-developed product received over blood clots spills over to all vaccines of the type. The older vaccines happen to be cheaper and easier to store and transport, which would make them better candidates for “workhorse” vaccines for global immunization, if efficacy and safety are set aside.

British authorities need to publish more data from its vaccination campaign to allow a convincing comparison of the two vaccines, the institute suggested. In the meantime, some indication of how AstraZeneca and Pfizer measure against each other can be glimpsed from the Yellow Card Scheme, a UK government instrument for self-reporting various medical incidents, including suspected side effects of vaccines against Covid-19.

If you're a Californian looking to attend a social function without being forced to wear a pesky face mask, there's good news: All you have to do is get yourself invited to the Oscars on Sunday.

That's right, according to Variety, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced this week that Oscar attendees in the state that has some of the most severe and onerous pandemic lockdowns in the nation will not have to wear masks during the telecast of the ceremony — well, at least as long as the cameras are rolling.

But when it's time for a commercial break, it'll be necessary to mask up.

What is this super-scientific thing Hollywood is doing?

Variety's Mark Malkin reported that Academy bigwigs told Oscar nominees and studio and personal publicists during a Zoom meeting Monday that it will not ask Oscar attendees to wear face masks as long as the live show is broadcasting this Sunday.

California's COVID mandates do not require that people on camera for TV or film productions be masked — which is a boon for celebs attending the Oscar ceremony at downtown Los Angeles' Union Station, since the televised event is being treated as a TV production.

But the Tinseltown gentry won't be allowed to be 100% mask-free — they'll have to don a face covering when the cameras are off, such as during commercial breaks.

Yep, according to the logic of selective state-imposed mask mandates for show-biz types, science apparently makes it clear that while the coronavirus cannot be transmitted while cameras are rolling, the same crowd is at risk when the telecast pauses to run advertisements.

Lest anyone think that the Academy is not taking seriously the health and safety of American society's royalty, fear not. The audience capacity will be limited to 170 at a time, and the event's planners have a very specific itinerary for cycling nominees in and out of the event. Also, temperature checks will be mandatory, and the celebs will be required to take at least three COVID tests in the week leading up to the Oscars, Variety said.

What about the disease-ridden media and paparazzi? Well, good news: There will be only three photogs and a limited number of press outlets allowed to do interviews on what is being called an "abbreviated red carpet." And to ensure that reporters' germs don't get on the celebs, there will be at least seven feet between interviewers and interviewees.

Plus, the lucky movie stars and directors will get to do virtual interviews with a select few hosts backstage, ensuring protection of the celebrities who just moments earlier were sitting in a crowd while unmasked with other unmasked attendees.

Manhattan DA’s Office will no longer prosecute prostitution cases

The Manhattan district attorney will stop prosecuting prostitution and unlicensed massage cases — and is tossing thousands of warrants dating as far back as 1975.

DA Cyrus Vance Jr. appeared virtually Wednesday in Manhattan Criminal Court to ask Judge Charlotte Davidson to vacate 5,994 bench warrants and dismiss the underlying charges of prostitution, unlicensed massage and loitering for the purpose of prostitution.

The motion was granted and the cases dating back to 1975 were dropped.

For years, the Manhattan DA has offered people facing these charges services and programs.

“Now, we will decline to prosecute these arrests outright, providing services and support solely on a voluntary basis,” said Vance, who added that his office is the first in the state to take this step.

Spanish ‘cannibal’ accused of killing mom, feeding her to the dog

An unemployed Spanish waiter is on trial for allegedly chopping his mother into 1,000 pieces, storing them in lunch boxes and eating them — with the help of his pet pooch, according to a report.

Alberto Sanchez Gomez, 28, who was arrested in February 2019, admitted in court Wednesday that he heard voices telling him to kill his mother, Maria Soledad Gomez, 68, as he watched TV in their Madrid apartment, the Sun reported.

He said the voices were those of neighbors, acquaintances and celebrities, according to the outlet, but insisted he didn’t have any recollection of cutting up his mother or consuming her.

When officers investigating a friend’s report about the missing woman showed up at his door, he allegedly told them, “Yes, my mother is in here — dead.”

Democrat Mayor, BLM Activist Hit With 11 Child Sex Felony Charges.

A former California Democrat mayor and vocal Black Lives Matter (BLM) activist has been charged with almost a dozen felony crimes connected to a child sexual assault investigation.

Robert Jacob, progressive former mayor of Sebastopol in Sonoma County, Northern California, was arrested for “five felony and one misdemeanor sexual assault charges against a minor,” according to a statement from the Sebastopol Police Department.

Last Tuesday, when he appeared in the Sonoma County Superior Court, the number of Jacob’s felony charges was increased to 11.

Jacob has been a proponent of “defunding the police,” as had child sex offender Christopher DeVries – a leader of a local BLM chapter.

The charges against Jacob include: committing lewd acts with a child ages 14 to 15, participating in sexual penetration of a child under 16, making a child under 16 available to another person for lewd or lascivious acts, and distribution of child pornography.

Police had received a tip about possible sexual assaults between December 2019 and March 2021 in the city and they opened an investigation on March 30. The investigation ultimately identified Jacob as a suspect and took the former mayor into custody. Sebastopol Police Chief Kevin Kilgore was not able to provide additional details, as the investigation into Jacob is still ongoing.

While no longer mayor, Jacob has remained politically active.

On June 5, 2020, Jacob expressed his support for the “defund the police” movement.

Commenting on the Minneapolis City Council’s decision to “dismantle the police department and replace it with a ‘transformative new model of public safety,'” Jacob called it “progress,” praised Black Lives Matter (BLM) for inspiring the decision, and ended, “I can’t wait for more!”
