A chief executive officer (CEO) of Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation Alexey Likhachev is slated for an upcoming visit to Iran to follow up on power plant projects in Bushehr.
An Iranian delegation headed by Spokesperson for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Behrouz Kamalvandi met with Alexey Likhachev, the CEO of Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation and the corporation's top officials in Moscow on Tuesday, MNA reported.
During the meeting, the two sides conferred on various issues related to bilateral nuclear cooperation.
Likhachov is slated to visit Bushehr one day before Russian President Vladmir Putinโs trip to Iran which is scheduled for November 1, aimed at taking part in a trilateral Russia-Iran-Azerbaijan meeting.
Likhachov will negotiate with Iran's nuclear chief, Ali Akbar Salehi, and participate in the operationalization ceremony of new power plants in Bushehr.
On Tuesday, delegations from Iran and Russia met in Moscow to hail 25 years of bilateral cooperation in the area of peaceful uses of nuclear energy and the new prospects under the Iran nuclear deal.

On 24th of April 2018 Deputy Director General of ROSATOM Nikolai Spasskiy paid a working visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Nikolai Spasskiy held planned negotiations with Deputy Head of Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Behrouz Kamalvandi and other key figures of the organization. Also, he had a meeting with Vice-President of Islamic Republic of Iran and Head of AEOI Ali Akbar Salehi. Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Islamic Republic of Iran Luan Jagaryan took part in the consultations.
They discussed in detail the main agenda of the Russian-Iranian nuclear power cooperation, including the joint work to build Units 2 and 3 of Bushehr NPP and interaction in the framework of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Actions on the Iranian nuclear program approved by UN Security Councilโs Resolution No. 2231.
The parties agreed to hold the next round of consultations in July in Moscow.
