Very simple and stupid sounding question.
What exactly do we, Americans and the United States of America gain from continued business dealings and trade with China?
It appears to me that any continued trade and business is nothing more than a lose-lose situation of USA, because we are literally exporting our money; the Federal and State gov. money, business money and money from Americans who aer buying Chinese goods to China. However most of that money never comes back in one form or another. So, technically speaking China is enriching itself at our expense while also helping itself to our technology, manufacturing technology and intellectual & scientific technology for free some of which gets reused in form of ripoff copy products that get sold back to Americans on Amazon (and other sites) undercutting the American companies that spend money and time developing those proprietary technologies.
Let us not forget the export of deadly and extremely addictive synthetic opioids to USA from China that the Chinese government turns a blind eye to. I believe this is not unintentional.
What the hell are we doing?
