Anon, may I trouble you for a link to the vid in cap provided? If it is up bread I apologise for missing it. I want to look at that crane more closely what is at the bottom. It could be a light from the crane we are seeing. But even if it was a light on the crane, no prob. 24LONDON is still a great find, and we have a lot in that photograph. But let's take a look at that vid and 24LONDON. Aldo, can we adjust the pic to bring out the definition of the light?

Yes, sorry. I speedily scanned, and I mean a cursory look searching under "field of view" for cameras. Found that a "standard" FOV for mist cameras, like I mean not a professional setup with different specialized lenses, such as wide-angle or zoom.

I read on one page that such Standard lenses usually have a like 60-degree field of view and that a standard lens is preferred for landscape photos by photographers.

I also figured a smartphone device would probly be in that standard lens category.

I made a kind of even "V" shape to show a FOV (noticeably less than 90 degrees- not sure if it could be narrower). I was mindful of the need to keep the entire LondonEye within the FOV as well as the funnel for TATTS, so I adjusted the "V" of my FOV until it just was able to take in those 2 landmarks. I did assume you provided a good NORTH/SOUTH cap. I reversed the cap to be looking South. My guess for the position of the camera was not so much a choice as to where camera was on the bridge as it was moving the FOV "V" until it took in TATTS' funnel and LE.

Posting a cap of a compass showing a 60-degree angle. Mind you this is not gospel. I was only taking a stab at trying to understand the photo.

P.S. Don't think of asking this anon to take up the science of photography. ;-)

Have passed by this post since it was posted, maybe because I have not much to bring on this dig. But was kind of hanging fire on that April 2014 vid re the crane structure and poss light source from the crane. I had noticed something really odd with both SV images. see cap related.

In both, the images the area of the sign which mentions turning vehicles off. Look at both signs. In the first one, the sign appears to have been edited to cut a portion of the sign out and paste the bottom of the sign to the top.

I believe, and you may check, the complete sign should read: SWITCH OFF ENGINE. REDUCE EMISSIONS.

Now the in second bus sign, it is weirdly cut, with a Gumby head shape which draws the attention. Next notice he sign's top portion is cut off by half. Missing the part which says, "SWITCH OFF."

Now here is an important part: Notice some background where the top of the sign is missing. Not sure but I think this particular "portion" of the sign could be added in to the image. This one is the most puzzling. A fun dig.
