Just had a conversation with a gentlemen in his 70’s. We were on the same page with a lot of topics. Polarization of politics, lack of interest at local level, special interest groups and foreign involvement in our government. Was going pretty good and then he told me his whole life he was a registered republican until 4 years ago. He said he is a liberal progressive.

He mentioned he watches fox to see what they are telling their viewers but that he subscribed to the mainstream media. Mentioned Murdock created fox as more of a joke that was never meant to be real news. He went on to say “sure MSM gets it wrong from time to time but they analyze everything and give current reporting of news”.

He also mentioned how toxic politics has become and how it was creating a lot of trouble between his wife and he. I got the feeling that was the main reason for his new “political identity”.

He didn’t have anything nice to say about our great PDJT. He claimed the only thing he did was give his rich buddies a tax break. He went into how bad of a person he was with his business dealings in New York. He referred to him as a spoiled baby.

It was about a 20 minute conversation and I shared some opinions on certain topics he brought up but I mostly listened. He was far older than me and I tend to listen to those who have been around longer than I. I also wanted to take everything in so I could share with this board. He was the first person I have come across in a while that actually engaged in a political conversation. Although I believe he is under complete control of the television set, it felt good.

I was happy to have had a conversation with someone where we had vastly different views (although I wasn’t that obvious with mine) and parted ways on a friendly note.

I felt like calling him out as I had many examples disproving his stance on about every single mentioned item but I wanted to gain insight as to why. I wanted to know what caused him to have a change of heart.

I believe this can be broken down into one common denominator. I believe that to be the MSM.

Remember, they may be sheeple but they are our sheeple. If they can’t be changed with reason or facts, we must adapt and overcome. Hopefully my shared experience will assist anons identify where progress can be made with the heavily deceived.

Yeah, it really is a shame. If you have ever had the joy of interacting with a little cousin or friends kid, play a game with them and see how many expressions light up on their face. Take that same kid and sit them in front of the tv. You can almost watch their soul sink into the deepest abyss. It zombifies them. I don’t think it is exclusive to the news. I think the outlawing of subliminal messaging was probably about the time they cranked that shit to max.

It’s horrendous to see just the short term effect the television has in a kid. Brings a tear to my eye and a burning in my chest.
