Well, I have never been to space, so what initially hits my sensibilities as normal and abnormal is not necessarily going to lead me to correct conclusions.
For example, shadows here on the ground are much softer than what is supposed to occur in space because the atmosphere creates diffusion of the light.
This is the same with stars - on Earth, they look like glowing orbs, however, in space they appear like far sharper and smaller points of light. Which is also a potential explanation for why the cameras, designed for use in docking, do not pick up stars.
I am not going to tell you that you must believe those explanations - I am simply going to say that they do at least align with what I understand about physics and seem plausible. Since I have not been to space and have not attempted to record my own videos up there, I can't really say whether or not the videos look "fake." Just that they do not look like what would happen if I were to record an object outside.
On that note, stars and the like rarely appear in home videos taken at night. Taking pictures of the moon and such is often disappointing.
