Does the Book of Enoch not say that the source of demons are the malformed psychotic souls that escaped the dying bodies of the hybridized beings genetically engineered by the fallen angels?
The etheric body looks like the physical body they had before they were destroyed.

The alter personalities are not as strong as a whole, unfractured soul; the alters are attractive targets of control for parasitic entities.
Torture can indeed fracture a personality.
But what is the purpose of fracturing a personality?
Perhaps it is because when holographic things fracture they fracture into smaller independent instances of the whole.
Are those smaller independent instances the real target, as they can be controlled by entities that have no legal right to a body in this realm?
