Effort to Recall Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom Has Enough Verified Signatures, California Secretary of State Says

The effort to recall California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) has officially received enough signatures for a recall election this year.

The California Secretary of State on Monday announced that counties have reached the threshold and confirmed at least 1,495,709 verified signatures.

More than 1.6 million valid signatures were collected by the campaign to oust Newsom.

“This now triggers the next phase of the recall process, a 30-business-day period in which voters may submit written requests to county Registrars of Voters to remove their names from the recall petition,” Secretary Weber said in a statement. “A recall election will be held unless a sufficient number of signatures are withdrawn.”

According to two trusted California polls, Newsom’s approval rating has sharply dropped in the last several months.

Only 46% of California voters approve of Newsom’s job performance, down from a 67% approval rating from September.

Californians are fed up with Newsom’s authoritarian Covid lockdown orders that have destroyed thousands of small businesses.

Newsom came under fire after he ordered businesses to close during the Covid panic while keeping his own winery, Plumpjack Winery open.

Governor Newsom was also caught dining at The French Laundry in Napa Valley at $800 per person while telling Californians they couldn’t gather for Thanksgiving.

The embattled governor last month said “right-wing” groups like QAnon supporters and Proud Boys are behind efforts to boot him from office during an appearance on “The View.”

Former AZ Secretary of State Ken Bennett Tells Gateway Pundit Forensic Machines Have Been Examining Ballots Since Friday

Ken Bennett: We started the recount on Friday, the machines were delivered last Wednesday. The ballots were delivered on Thursday. And we actually started evaluating and they’ve been capturing forensic images and data off the machines, which is one part of the audit. And then the recount of the ballots by machines, not the Dominion machines, but other machines has been going on by a hand-count since Friday. It was slow on the first day. A lot of improvements on Saturday and then this morning it’s been running smoothly.

On Saturday The Gateway Pundit reported on the ultra-violent forensic machines that were up and operating in the coliseum.

Ken said there has been no evidence of Antifa or BLM gathering to protest or disrupt the process despite numerous rumors being passed around.

As far as continued Democrat obstruction, Ken had this to say, “I think we heard today that Katie Hobbs, who’s a Democrat, has filed a new challenge on some factual item that she thinks she has uncovered. But there are other people on the other side, I’ve heard the Libertarian Party may even come in with a brief to support the process. And the ones who don’t who are primarily the Democrat Party are trying to do what they can to stop it.

Planned Parenthood Seeks Even ‘Bolder’ Policies from Biden-Harris

Planned Parenthood stated Friday that, while the Biden-Harris administration is “on the right track” in making policy it considers essential, the organization is looking for even “bolder” moves in the days ahead.

As President Joe Biden marks his first 100 days in office, Planned Parenthood, both the largest provider of abortions in the nation and now the second largest provider of transgender hormone treatments, said in a press announcement “there are increasing signs that the country is on the right track.”

“Planned Parenthood and our supporters have been paying close attention to the Biden-Harris administration’s actions in its first 100 days, and we’re encouraged by what we’ve seen so far,” said Alexis McGill Johnson, Planned Parenthood CEO, lamenting further about the policies put in place by the pro-life Trump administration:

In its statement, Planned Parenthood alleged that “people of color, those with low incomes, and the LGBTQ+ community” are still requiring “access to health care, sexual and reproductive care, and other basic human rights” that “remain out of reach.”

All of those identified groups are a primary source of clients for Planned Parenthood. The organization is especially pushing the Biden-Harris administration and Democrats in Congress to assure taxpayer Medicaid funds may now be used to pay for abortions and transgender hormone treatments at its clinics.

“Medicaid is the largest payer of reproductive health care in the country,” Jacqueline Ayers, Planned Parenthood vice president of government relations and public policy, said, according to Ms. magazine.

“And black, Latino, LGBTQ, low-income folks are disproportionately enrolled in the program and rely on this program,” she added.

Former FDA Chief: U.S. should lean more aggressively to lift COVID-19 restrictions

According to the former head of the FDA, the U.S. should lean more aggressively to lift coronavirus restrictions. In an interview over the weekend, Dr. Scott Gottlieb said the decline in new cases is locked in at this point and he doesn’t expect another surge.

The physician thinks officials should really focus on easing restrictions related to outdoor activities. He asserted that people should not be be required to wear masks outside anymore and outdoor gatherings should be encouraged without capacity limits.

In an op-ed for the Wall Street Journal Sunday, Dr. Gottlieb suggested the CDC update its guidelines to permit outdoor gatherings without face masks. He said the policy process in Washington, D.C. is “moving too slowly” and should, instead, follow states like Texas and New Hampshire by relaxing outdoor requirements.

Dr. Gottlieb said even though other strains of the virus are popping up around the country, people are more immune because of vaccines or prior infections. This comes as the CDC has reported more than half of Americans have received their first dose and nearly 40 percent are fully vaccinated.

UCLA Students Are Claiming That Automatic Soap Dispensers Are Racist

In case you're looking for further proof that the "woke" world has gone to hell in a handbasket, look no further than a University of California, Los Angeles op-ed.

The op-ed, penned by Sullivan Israel, shares that some UCLA students are claiming that automatic soap dispensers - yes, the things you find in restrooms that dole out soap without having to be touched - are racist.

The basis for the claim is a student who says the dispensers "don't see her hands" because of the color of her skin, The Blaze reported.

A second student said that the dispensers force "black and brown bodies" to show their palms — which are "the only light areas of the skin".

Israel's op-ed deftly debunked the idiotic notion, calling the idea that "systemic racism and white supremacy is all around us, and in everyone, and everything, a person encounters" and that it is a "a secret force that exists everywhere, permeates all things, and wields power over society" nothing more than a "conspiracy theory".

NYC Records Most Violent Week This Year With 46 Separate Shootings

A summer of gun violence could be nearing for New York City as Mayor Bill de Blasio, a symbol of America's ultra-progressive left, cannot stop a wave of shootings and homicides.

According to NYPost, NYPD data reveals the metro area endured its bloodiest week so far this year as shootings and homicides erupt.

About 50 people were shot in 46 separate incidents over seven days ending Sunday (April 26). Compared to the same time last year, violent crime has skyrocketed 300%. To be fair, the metro area was in lockdowns last year around this time, but still, de Blasio's liberal policing policies are failing.

This weekend alone, there were two dozen people shot and three killed. A weekend from hell could be the first course of many more as warmer temperatures bring more people outside and into the streets.

In response to the mayhem, de Blasio has unveiled a plan to stop gun violence with new efforts to place more police officers in high-crime districts and convince gangs to trade in their weapons for jobs.

Ahead of the summer months, a surge in violent crime and reopening could be a perfect storm to fuel a violent crime wave.

De Blasio's inability to stop gun violence is very troubling. A spike in crime has given city dwellers a reason to move out of the city for peace and quiet as they remote work in the suburbs.

Nearly three decades of declining violent crime have reversed thanks to de Blasio and his liberal band of progressives who think they know best when it comes to how policing should work. Certainly, defunding the police and dismantling the NYPD anti-crime unit has backfired.

New York City faces an absolute disaster of failed liberal leadership and an example for the next mayor of what not to do to move the city forward.

Geittmann, a college student, said his high school "boyfriend" wanted to "break the stigma around men wearing dresses" but Johnson oppressed him by making fun of him.

Dr. David Williams, Ontario’s chief medical officer of health, is holding a briefing on the COVID-19 situation in the province at 3 p.m. ET.

Ontario has made a formal request to the Canadian Armed Forces for help in dealing with a surge in critical care cases associated with COVID-19, just days after it rebuffed an offer by the federal government to send in extra personnel.

In a statement Monday, a spokesperson for Solicitor General Sylvia Jones said the province has “made a request for the assistance of those identified resources, many of whom reside, for example, within the Canadian Armed Forces and Canadian Red Cross organizations.”

“In addition to health human resources, we are requesting logistical and operational support as we seek to augment our response to COVID-19,” the statement from Jones’s press secretary Stephen Warner said.

Speaking to reporters, Jones said the request, made Friday, did not request a specific number of personnel.

“What we are looking for is very specialized nurses that can help out in our intensive care unit beds and medical personnel that can assist our hospitals that are seeing disturbing rises in cases of COVID-19,” she said.

Project veritas on Monday sued CNN for false and defamatory statements with regards to the organization’s Twitter ban.

Twitter banned Project Veritas founder James O’Keefe two weeks ago after he posted multiple videos exposing CNN’s left-wing bias.

Two weeks ago Project Veritas released a third bombshell undercover video of CNN Director Charlie Chester admitting that the network is “trying to help” Black Lives Matter by protecting their narrative on race.

Chester admits that they have only been pushing stories that implicate white people, during a conversation with a Tinder date that ended up being a Project Veritas reporter.

Chester admitted that while researching Asian hate, they found that it is mostly black men attacking them — so they did not dig in deeper.

Wellton agents catch two groups, more than 200 pounds meth

YUMA, Ariz. – Yuma Sector Border Patrol agents assigned to the Wellton station caught two different groups smuggling a total of 218 pounds of methamphetamine though the desert on Sunday.

At approximately 2:30 a.m., agents detected a group of five traversing through the desert south of Dateland, Arizona. Upon apprehending the group, agents discovered that three of their backpacks contained plastic containers with packaged methamphetamine. The methamphetamine weighed a total of 120 pounds and had an estimated street value of $216,000.

At approximately noon, agents detected another group in the same general area. After tracking the second group, agents apprehended a group of five carrying almost 98 pounds of methamphetamine in their backpacks, worth an estimated $176,000.

Agents arrested the individuals from both groups and seized the methamphetamine.

“The narcotic smugglers will continue to take advantage of the immigration influx at the border, and the men and women of Yuma Sector will remain watchful while protecting our communities and the nation from these horrible drugs,” said Chief Patrol Agent Chris T. Clem. “Border security is national security.”
